Hero Wars: All About Pets
Pets become accessible once you
unlock the Sanctuary at team level 40.
Pets Sanctuary
Pets support your team during combat. A key advantage is their invulnerability—they can't be harmed. Additionally, their energy bar charges automatically over time, allowing them to unleash their main ability every 15 seconds.
To explore a specific pet, head to the Sanctuary, click on Pets, and choose your desired companion. You’ll be taken to this screen:
Summoning
Summon pets by opening Pet Summoning Eggs found at the Pet Summoning Tree.
Pet Summoning Tree
You can acquire Pet Summoning Eggs through:
completing Adventures;
finishing special event objectives;
completing the daily mission to start or join an Adventure.
Eggs can be opened one at a time or in batches of 10, provided you have at least 10. You can also spend emeralds to instantly open 10 Eggs. On your first use of the emerald-based "Open 10" option, you’ll earn a bonus of 3,000 emeralds. Use this option 10 times, and you’ll unlock the ability to open 100 at once.
Every day, players have a shot at claiming the grand prize — an Absolute Evolution pet — from the Pet Summoning. The featured grand prize pet changes automatically at 02:00 AM UTC or right after you obtain it.
Note: If all of your pets are at Absolute Star, the daily grand prize will switch to 75,000 Pet Soul Coins.
Soul Stones and Evolution
Boosting a pet’s evolution (star rating) enhances their core attributes. To upgrade a pet’s evolution level, you’ll need gold and Pet Soul Stones. Required Soul Stones per star level:
- 1st star — 10 Soul Stones
- 2nd star — 50 Soul Stones
- 3rd star — 150 Soul Stones
- 4th star — 500 Soul Stones
- 5th star — 1,000 Soul Stones
- 6th star — 2,000 Soul Stones
You can obtain Soul Stones by:
- opening Pet Summoning Eggs;
- finishing special event tasks;
- purchasing bundles.
Level
Pets can be trained up to level 130.
Use Pet Potions to increase a pet’s level. Pet Potions are available through Adventures, the Pet Soul Stone Shop, and by completing quests or participating in events.
Rank and Items
Pets have ranks ranging from White to Violet +3. To raise a pet’s rank, collect specific items known as Pet Stones. You’ll find them in Adventures or by trading Chaos Particles. Access to Chaos Particle trading unlocks after you clear certain Adventures. The exact Adventure depends on which item you’re seeking.
To view needed items for any pet:
1. Click Pets.
2. Select your pet of choice.
3. Open the Items tab.
Once you’ve equipped a pet with the necessary items, you must charge them. This can be done with either Chaos Particles and gold or emeralds.
Another way to boost a pet’s rank is by using the Gift of the Sanctuary — a unique item that promotes any pet to the next rank. For instance, if a pet is at Violet, this Gift will advance it to Violet+1.
The Gift can be applied to any pet, but it’s most efficient to use it on a pet already at Violet+3. Higher ranks benefit more from the promotion.
You can obtain a Gift of the Sanctuary as a reward during Pet Season. If you don’t use it before the Season ends, it will be delivered to your in-game mail.
Note: When you earn a Gift of the Sanctuary during Pet Season, a pop-up lets you choose a pet to promote. You can either make a selection or close the window. If you skip it, the Gift will be sent to your mailbox after the Season concludes. After collecting it from the letter, it will appear in your Inventory under the Consumable tab. You can use it anytime—it doesn’t expire.
If all your pets are already acquired and max-ranked, you may trade the Gift of the Sanctuary for 100,000 emeralds or save it for future pets.
Skills and Patronage
Pets possess two types of skills:
Active Skills:
Pets activate these when deployed in battle. Each pet has two.
- The first is ready from the beginning and becomes usable once the energy bar fills. You can trigger it manually or let the game auto-activate it.
- The second unlocks at green rank and operates automatically on a cooldown.
Patronage:
- Once a pet attains blue rank, it can become a patron for a specific hero. Patronage boosts that hero’s stats in all battles except maximum power training.
- Upon reaching violet rank, pets also gain a patronage skill, further amplifying their hero’s strength.
The pet doesn’t need to be physically present in the battle for patronage to take effect.
Each pet has a limited list of heroes they can support. To view this:
Click Pets at the Sanctuary
Select a pet
Open the Patronage tab.
There’s no limit to how many heroes in your team can benefit from patronage. A team may consist of five different patrons,
but only one pet is allowed in actual combat.
Pet Stats
Pets have three core stats:
- Patronage Power – determines how strong the pet’s patronage and patronage skill are.
- Skill Power – measures the potency of a pet’s active abilities.
- Armor or Magic Penetration – reflects how much armor or magical defense the pet can bypass, based on their active skill type.
To view your pet’s stats:
1. Click Pets
2. Select a pet
3. Go to the Stats tab
Here, you can also see which heroes the pet is compatible with for patronage.
