Since the announcement of Hero Wars Totem Fusion, we’ve seen lots of discussions with concerns and feedback regarding the feature, and we want to thank you for sharing all your thoughts and ideas. Among that feedback, we’ve seen quite a few questions and identified some important information gaps that beg for clarification. That’s why today the developers have prepared a new FAQ for you!
🔹 Q: If Totems will no longer be cashable for 200,000 emeralds… maybe I have time for them being more attainable? Alongside the introduction of these fusion-inducing catalysts
🔸 A: Yes, we do consider making them a bit more available. They will remain one of the rarest and most precious items, but you will have more opportunities throughout the year to acquire them—even for free.
We are considering different ways of achieving that goal — maybe adding them as a final reward for some important and rare, but not strictly P2W, quest chain, or launching temporary events during which drop chances for Totems from Titan Artifact Spheres will be significantly increased. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but the general idea is this: yes, Spirit Summoning Spheres and fragment Totems will become more available. This is part of the broader changes introduced with Hero Wars Totem Fusion.
🔹 Q: Will you tell us the other ways to obtain catalysts before the removal of emerald exchange for totem spheres?
🔸 A: The main idea is to provide some Catalysts as rewards in regular events — new ones or some of the existing events. What we can already reveal is that we plan to share some amount of Catalysts of both types at the launch of the Hero Wars Totem Fusion mechanic, so everyone can try out Totem Fusion and create a couple of fun Totem Skills to play with!
🔹 Q: What are damage / resistance numbers, area sizes, durations and probabilities (if any) for the new skills?
🔸 A: The impact of Hero Wars Totem Fusion Skills, just like most Pet or Hero Skills, is very hard to properly evaluate before you can actually play with them. So, we are not rushing to share these details right now, but we have a video presentation planned down the line and will share some combat details later, too.
What is important to know is that the impact of the skills will rely on two main factors: the level of that skill (from 1 to 5), and the Evolution and Level of the main Totem they are infused with. All Totem Fusion Skills will scale in effectiveness with your Totem’s Level and Evolution rank.
This means that players with lower-level or lower-rank Totems might prefer different Fusion Skills than those chosen by players with fully upgraded Totems.
🔹 Q: Can catalysts be applied to totems below level 130?
🔸 A: Yes, you absolutely can—you can apply them from the Level 1 of your Totem if you want to.
🔹 Q: Can catalysts be applied to totems below absolute star?
🔸 A: Yes, you can use Hero Wars Totem Fusion even on a 1-star Totem. If you have enough Catalyst from any source, you can try and create a Primordial or Elemental skill for your Totem, even if it is your first unlocked Totem with 1 Star and Level 1.
Remember: Fusion Skills will become stronger (“scale”) with your Totem Level and Rank. So if you want to maximize the effect, it’s a good idea to level up your Totem and its Evolution Rank as well.
That said, the beauty of Hero Wars Totem Fusion is in its flexibility—whether you want to evolve your Totems first, focus on your most powerful Totem, or spread the Catalysts across several for strategic versatility.
🔹 Q: Will there be a way to exchange green, blue, purple, and yellow GoDs for red ones / can they all be used for catalyst exchange?
🔸 A: Yes, you will be able to exchange all types of Gift of Dominions for a Primordial Catalyst that allows you to create Primordial Fusion Skills. The rarity of the Gift determines how much Catalyst you can get for it.
🔹 Q: Once all the fusions are complete, could we please be allowed to exchange Totem Summoning Spheres for Emeralds again or gift them to others?
🔸 A: Gifting is staying! You will be able to gift Totems (Spirit Summoning Spheres) even if you don’t have your Totems fused. We will also expand the gifting functionality, so you can give Totems even to players who have their Totem Evolutions maxed.
Still, it might be smart to hold on to some extras. You never know when a meta shift will inspire you to swap Fusion Skills—and those saved Totem fragments could quickly become a valuable source of Catalysts.
🔹 Q: I really do not like to gamble my resources on an Infusion Skill craft/upgrade. Can you make a better Bad Luck Protection or something like that?
🔸 A: We understand your concern. While there will be ways to tactically take advantage of randomness, we’re also working on enhanced cashback for unlucky attempts and are exploring additional Bad Luck Protection options.
By integrating Hero Wars Totem Fusion more deeply into events, team customization, and gifting mechanics, the game is opening up new possibilities for both casual and competitive players. Stay tuned for even more updates as the feature evolves.
