Hero Wars Goose Festival – Complete Energy Guide

In this blog post, we’re going to break down exactly how much Crystal Energy you can earn from the event quests — and what that really means in terms of how far you can progress through the chapters. Specifically, we’ll look at how many chapters you can complete with that energy and how much more you’ll need if you want to reach Chapter 7.

Once we’ve got the numbers on Crystal Energy and chapter access, we’ll shift gears and take a close look at how many Soul Stones are required to fully evolve Guus to max star — and just how far a free-to-play player can realistically go during the event.

Let’s dive in and make the math work for your strategy.

Energy Crystal Requirements by Chapter

Now let’s break down how much Crystal Energy you actually need to progress through each chapter of the event.

As you can see in the table, Chapters 1 and 2 are completely free — they don’t require any Crystal Energy at all. That’s your warm-up phase.

Starting with Chapter 3, the cost begins to ramp up:

Chapter 3 costs 50 Energy Crystals

Chapter 4 jumps to 110,

Chapter 5 requires 160,

Chapter 6 needs 210,

And Chapter 7 tops the list with 260 Energy Crystals

If you’re aiming to clear all seven chapters, you’ll need a total of 790 Energy Crystals. That’s the full price to reach the end — and a very important number if you’re trying to plan ahead, especially as a free-to-play player.

Next, we’ll calculate how much energy you can get from quests and what that realistically allows you to complete. Then, we’ll dive into the Soul Stone requirements for Guus and analyze how far you can evolve him without spending. Let’s keep going!

Energy Crystal From Quest

Now let’s take a look at how much Crystal Energy you can earn by completing quests during the Goose Festival event.

As shown in the table, the total Crystal Energy you can collect from all available quests is 608. However, not all quests are equally accessible for free-to-play players, so we’ll break them down one by one and explain which quests are fully doable without spending — and which ones aren’t.

  • Battle Training (128 Crystal Energy):
This quest can be completed by any player, simply by playing Chapter 1 repeatedly. No spending is needed — just time and consistency.
  • Emeralds Flow (90 Crystal Energy):
This quest requires spending emeralds, which free-to-play players typically won’t do. For that reason, we subtract this amount when calculating free-to-play totals.
  • Hero Introduction (66 Crystal Energy):
Accessible to all players. You can finish this quest by replaying Chapter 1 and evolving the required heroes through normal gameplay.
  • Cute Helpers (40 Crystal Energy):
Also doable for everyone. By replaying Chapter 1 and buying pets needed for the tasks, this one is achievable without spending.
  • Trial of the Chosen (84 Crystal Energy):
This quest is gated behind the Golden Pass. While pass buyers can earn up to 18 extra crystals from this, we assume free-to-play players are not purchasing the pass, so we subtract the full 84 crystals here.
  • Legends United (100 Crystal Energy):
This quest requires spending Stall Coins, which can be earned by repeating Chapter 1. It’s fully doable by all players, including free-to-play.
  • Sapphire Fever (100 Crystal Energy):
This quest requires you to spend Sapphire Medallions. Based on community feedback, most players can manage to spend 40–60 medallions by the end of the event. To be conservative, we assume free-to-play players can complete only half of this quest — so we subtract 50 Crystal Energy.

Final Totals:

Total Energy Crystals Available: 608

  • After removing paywalled quest rewards (Emeralds Flow, Trial of the Chosen, half of Sapphire Fever):
    608 – 90 – 84 – 50 = 384 Crystal Energy

So here’s the summary:
🔹 Paying players can earn up to 608 Energy Crystals during the event.
🔹 Free-to-play players can expect to earn around 384 Energy Crystals — just over half the total.

Next, we’ll use this number to calculate how far you can progress through the chapters based on your crystal income — and whether you’ll be able to reach Chapter 7 as a free-to-play player. Let’s dive into that next!

Energy Crystals from Golden Ticket

Another key factor in this event is the Golden Ticket, which unlocks the paid version of the Golden Pass. By purchasing the Golden Ticket, you gain access to extra rewards and significantly more resources — including 190 Energy Crystals in total and the Guus skin as the grand prize.

If you choose not to buy the Golden Ticket, don’t worry — the free tier of the Golden Pass still offers some value. Free-to-play players can collect up to 40 Energy Crystals just by completing the standard tasks available to everyone.

Whether you’re planning to invest in the Golden Pass or stay completely free-to-play, understanding these energy bonuses is essential for calculating how far you can progress in the event. Let’s now combine this with quest rewards and see how much total energy you can realistically get.

Energy Crystals Daily

Aside from quests and the Golden Pass, there are two additional free daily sources of Energy Crystals available during the event: Daily Rewards and Daily Charge.

The Daily Reward gives you 6 Energy Crystals per day just for logging in and collecting it.

The Daily Charge gives you 2 Energy Crystals per day if you meet the daily task requirements — and yes, this includes a free tier. While there is a paid version of Daily Charge that provides more, we’re excluding that from this calculation to stay focused on free-to-play players.

Over the 7-day event, this adds up to:

42 Energy Crystals from Daily Rewards (6 × 7)

14 Energy Crystals from Daily Charge (2 × 7)

That gives a combined total of 56 Energy Crystals available completely for free through daily login and activity.

When you add this to the Crystal Energy from quests and the free tier of the Golden Pass, it plays an important role in determining how far you can actually progress as a free-to-play player. And that’s exactly what we’re going to calculate next. Let’s put the full picture together!

Energy Crystals from Hero Wars Website Post

Hero Wars also released two special bonus codes on their official website — one on July 14th and another on July 15th — each providing 12 free Energy Crystals. If you claimed both, that’s a total of 24 additional Crystals added to your energy pool.

If you happened to miss either of these, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. Just head over to the Olympus homepage, click on the “Rewards” section, and you’ll find both posts listed with their links so you can still redeem them (as long as they’re active).

I’ll also include direct links here in this post for your convenience. Don’t miss out — every Crystal counts when planning your chapter progress!

Total Energy Acummulated

In this table, we’ve calculated the total amount of Crystal Energy that both free-to-play and paying players can accumulate during the event.

From quests, free players can collect 384 Energy Crystals, while paying players — who can complete all quest tiers — can reach up to 608.

Through the Golden Ticket, free players earn 40 Crystals from the free tier, whereas those who purchase the ticket receive a much larger total of 190 Crystals, plus the Guus skin as a bonus.

When it comes to Daily Rewards, both free and paid players receive the same amount: 56 Crystals just for logging in and completing the daily charge. While paying players do have the option to get more through paid daily charges, it’s not necessary to progress through the event.

And finally, both free and paying players can redeem an equal 24 Energy Crystals from the two Hero Wars website posts released on July 14th and 15th.

Adding it all up:

Free players can reach a total of 504 Energy Crystals

Paying players can accumulate up to 878 Energy Crystals

👉 From this calculation, we can see that free-to-play players can comfortably reach Chapter 5 and will fall just 26 Energy Crystals short of unlocking Chapter 6. Meanwhile, paying players have enough energy to clear all 7 chapters without issue.

How much you need to Spend

Now let’s explore what free-to-play players can do if they want to reach Chapter 7 and unlock the final reward — the totem.

As we calculated earlier, free players can accumulate a total of 504 Energy Crystals. That’s a solid amount, but to reach Chapter 7, you need 790 Crystals — which means free players are short by 286 Energy Crystals.

If a player decides to purchase the Golden Pass, they’ll receive 150 Energy Crystals from the pass itself and an additional 18 Crystals from VIP Points, bringing their new total to 672 Crystals. That puts them much closer, but they’re still 118 Crystals short of reaching Chapter 7.

Now, if a player manages to spend 150,000 emeralds during the event — maybe saved up from Arena, Mysterious Island, or other activities — they’ll unlock the Emeralds Flow quest, which adds 90 more Energy Crystals to the total. That pushes their total up to 762 Crystals — meaning they’re just 28 Crystals away from finishing the final chapter.

There are a few ways to close this final gap:

Some players might benefit from guildmates purchasing bundle gifts, which could push them closer.

Others might choose to spend a bit on the Daily Charge, which grants additional Crystals beyond the free tier.

📌 Conclusion:

If you don’t purchase the Golden Pass and you don’t spend 150,000 emeralds, you will not have enough Energy Crystals to reach Chapter 7 and earn the totem reward. For free-to-play players, reaching Chapter 5 is realistic — Chapter 6 is nearly reachable — but Chapter 7 remains locked behind spending.
