Hero Wars: Heroes General Information
The tutorial introduces you to your first set of heroes. You can unlock more heroes and their Soul Stones through the Soul Atrium, heroic missions, and other game modes.
Note: Heroes are placed on the battlefield automatically based on their auto-attack range.
You cannot manually change their position.
Role
Heroes fall into seven roles:
- Tank – Frontline defenders with high health and resistance. Some tanks have skills that draw enemy attacks.
- Warrior – Melee damage dealers.
- Marksman – Ranged attackers.
- Mage – Magic damage specialists.
- Support – Provide team benefits like shields, resurrection, or debuff removal.
- Control – Apply effects that reduce enemy effectiveness.
- Healer – Restore allies’ health and typically stay at a distance.
Note: Some heroes can have dual roles. For example, Cleaver is both a tank and control hero.
Special Traits
Some heroes have a unique Special attribute that links them with others in their group. There are five types:
- Blessed: Galahad, Markus, Tristan, Luther
- Grove Keeper: Thea, Alvanor, Kai
- Undead: Phobos, Corvus, Morrigan, Keira, Lyria
- Engineer: Ginger, Isaac, Fox
- Fire Heralds: Kayla, Aidan
These special traits allow heroes to synergize in battle. For example, Corvus and Morrigan both boost Undead allies.
Heroes with boosting skills include:
- Corvus – Strike of the Damned, Unity of the Damned
- Morrigan – Bone Armor, Moonlight
- Alvanor – Rune of Life, Harmony of the Grove
- Tristan – Righteous Zeal, Serving the Light, Blessed Vanguard
- Isaac – Drone Swarm
- Lyria – Bonds of Alliance, Shackles of Doom (scales with number of Undead allies)
Level
Hero level increases their overall power. The max level is 130.
Ways to gain hero experience:
- Complete Campaign missions with that hero
- Use EXP potions
There are two level types:
Team Level – Determines the cap for hero levels
Hero Level – Individual hero’s experience
Until Team Level 28, heroes can be at a higher level than your team. After that, hero level cannot exceed team level.
Skills
Each hero has four skills:
- The first skill is activated manually when the icon glows and the energy bar is full.
- The second to fourth skills activate automatically with cooldowns.
- Skills 1 & 2 – Level 130
- Skill 3 – Level 110
- Skill 4 – Level 90
To level up a skill, you need Skill Points and Gold. One Skill Point regenerates every five minutes, up to a max of 20. You can purchase more using emeralds.
Tip: If the Exchange Shop opens while leveling up, you’re out of gold.
