There are many different items, resources, and currencies in Hero Wars. This page outlines the most commonly used ones in the game, grouped by category, and explains how to obtain them. You’ll also find references to in-game icons to help you identify each resource visually.

Energy is required to complete missions in the Campaign. You automatically receive 1 energy point every 6 minutes. Once your energy reaches the maximum limit, it stops regenerating until you spend some.
You can gain more energy from the following sources:
- Increasing your Team Level
- Completing the daily quest “Get free energy 3 times per day”
- Using Bottled Energy (an item)
- Completing tasks in special events
- Claiming community gift links
- Purchasing with emeralds
Emeralds are the premium currency in Hero Wars and can be used in almost every feature of the game. Ways to acquire emeralds include:
- Daily login rewards
- Completing quests
- Promoting heroes to a higher rank
- Arena ranking rewards
- Event rewards
- Purchasing special offers
- Weekly rewards at Asgard’s Hall of Fame
- Season rewards
- Completing tasks under the Free tab on the main screen
- Directly from the Emerald Shop
Gold is the basic currency used for upgrading heroes, titans, and pets. You can obtain gold through:
- Completing Campaign missions
- Finishing daily quests
- Progressing through the Tower
- Exchanging Titan Soul Coins in the Titan Soul Shop
- Opening Honorable Guardian Boxes
- Selling unwanted items in your Inventory
- Receiving Guild Master gifts
- Daily Bonus gifts
- Dungeon checkpoint rewards
- Special events
- Using Emerald Exchange
- Special offer purchases
Your VIP level is determined by the number of VIP Points you’ve earned. These points are tied to real-money purchases, and the benefits increase with your VIP level.
You can gain VIP Points by:
- Purchasing emeralds from the Emerald Shop
- Extending Valkyrie’s Favor
- Buying Season Tickets and levels
- Paid server transfers
- Purchasing special bundles or offers
Team EXP Points increase your Team Level and determine the max level your heroes and titans can reach.
You can earn Team EXP Points by:
- Completing Campaign missions
- Completing daily quests

Gift of Dominion
You need Soul Stones to evolve your heroes. There are several ways to get them:
- at the Soul Atrium;
- by completing heroic missions in the Campaign;
- by completing daily quests;
- at the Arena Shop;
- at the Grand Arena Shop;
- at the Tower Shop;
- at the Soul Shop;
- at the Friendship Shop;
- at the Outland Shop;
- at the Guild War Shop;
- at the Pet Soul Stone Shop;
- at the Elemental Tournament Shop;
- from an Honorable Guardian Box;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- by buying special offers.
Skill Points are needed to level up hero skills. You get one point automatically every five minutes, but you can also purchase them with emeralds.
EXP Potions are needed to level up your heroes. The color of the potion determines the amount of experience it contains. There are several ways to get EXP potions:
- by completing Campaign missions;
- by receiving Arena ranking rewards;
- at the Town Shop;
- at the Soul Shop;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- by buying special offers;
- as a reward in a Season.
Equipment improves hero stats and allows promoting heroes to the next rank. Equipment fragments are indicated by the puzzle icon in the upper-left corner. There are several ways to get equipment:
- by completing Campaign missions;
- by opening Tower chests;
- by purchasing chests at the Guild War Shop;
- at the Town Shop;
- at the Arena Shop;
- at the Grand Arena Shop;
- at the Tower Shop;
- at the Soul Shop;
- at the Friendship Shop;
- at the Outland Shop;
- from Rarity Fair;
- as a reward in a Season.
Skins grant bonuses either to main or secondary stats. Once you upgrade a specific skin, your hero does not have to wear it: the bonus is permanent and stacks with other skin bonuses.
Each hero has a Default Skin unlocked. There are several ways to unlock additional skins:
- by using Skin Stones;
- by using Guild War trophies;
by buying special offers;
during special events.
Skin Stones are needed to upgrade hero skins. There are several ways to get them:
- by opening chests in the Outland;
- as a daily login reward;
- from an Honorable Guardian Box;
- from a Skin Stone Chest;
- by buying special offers;
- as a reward in a Season;
- by completing tasks in special events.
Runes are used to level up Glyphs. There are several ways to get them:
- by completing daily quests;
- by earning Guild activity points;
- at the Guild War Shop;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- as a reward in a Season.
Sparks of Power are used to upgrade Gift of the Elements. There are several ways to get them:
- at the Titan Soul Shop;
- by leveling up titans;
- by awakening and leveling up titan artifacts;
- by promoting titan artifacts to the next star rank;
- by leveling up titan skins;
- by increasing titan evolution.
They are used to level up hero artifacts. You can get them:
- by completing expeditions;
- from the Artifact Chest;
- from Artifact Boxes;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- from special offers;
- as a reward in a Season.
Chaos Cores are used to increase the evolution level of artifacts. There are several ways to get them:
- by completing expeditions;
- from the Artifact Chest;
- at the Elemental Tournament Shop;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- as a reward in a Season.
Eternal Seeds are a rare resource required every five levels when you upgrade the branches of the Great Tree of Wisdom. You can get them:
- by defeating the bosses in Asgard;
- as an Astral Seer’s grand prize;
- by completing specific one-time quests;
- by completing special events;
- as a Season reward.
Crystals are used to upgrade heroes at the Great Tree of Wisdom. You get Ancient Wisdom Crystals whenever you upgrade a hero in the Ascension Spire.
Star Mana is required to upgrade heroes in the Ascension Spire. To get this resource:
- defeat the bosses’ minions in Asgard;
- defeat the bosses in Asgard;
- complete specific one-time quests;
- complete weekly quests;
- complete special events.
Crystals and Insignias are required to upgrade heroes in the Ascension Spire. You can get them:
- by defeating the bosses’ minions in Asgard;
- by defeating the bosses in Asgard;
- at the Astral Seer;
- by completing weekly quests;
- by completing specific one-time quests;
- by completing special events.
A Gift of Dominion is a special item that promotes any hero you own to the next rank. For example, if your hero is at Green rank, the Gift of Dominion will upgrade them to Green+1.
Note: If you have collected all available heroes (except Cleaver) and they are already at the max rank, you can exchange the Gift of Dominion for 40,000 emeralds or just wait for new heroes and upgrade them.
You can get Gifts of Dominion at the Clash of Worlds Shop or during a Season.
There are five types of Gifts of Dominion:
Gift of Dominion: Can level a hero of any rank up to the next rank. The maximum rank to which it can upgrade a hero is Red+2.
Note: You can get this item only as a reward in Seasons.
Uncommon Gift of Dominion: Can level up a hero of Green+1 rank or lower. The maximum rank is Blue.
Rare Gift of Dominion: Levels a hero of Blue+2 rank or lower. The maximum rank is Violet.
Epic Gift of Dominion: Levels up a hero of Violet+3 rank or lower. The maximum rank is Orange.
Legendary Gift of Dominion: Levels up a hero of Orange+4 rank or lower. The maximum rank is Red.
Note: When you collect a Gift of Dominion as a reward in a Season, a pop-up window will appear. There, you can select which hero to promote with the Gift of Dominion. You can also close this window and do not collect the Gift of Dominion. In this case, you will receive the Gift in your in-game mail after the Season ends. Once you collect a Gift of Dominion from the letter, it will appear in your Inventory. To find it, check the bottom of the Consumable tab. You can use the Gift anytime; it cannot expire.
Gifts of Dominion bought from the Clash of Worlds Shop appear in your Inventory right away.
If the hero you want to upgrade does not appear in the promotion list, it means that their current level is not high enough to equip all the necessary gear items. You need to level up the hero. After that, you will be able to use the Gift of Dominion to promote them. You can check the required level in the item creation menu. The items on the right side usually need a higher hero level.

Titan Artifacts
You need Soul Stones to evolve titans. There are several ways to get them:
- from Summoning Spheres;
- by using emeralds in the Circle of Summoning;
- by beating the Dungeon;
- from Chests of Titans/Supertitans;
- by completing tasks in special events.
Summoning Spheres grant random Titan Soul Stones. There are several ways to get them:
- by completing your personal daily quest to collect titanite;
- by completing the Guild daily task to collect titanite;
- as a gift from your Guild Master;
- by completing tasks in special events;
- by using emeralds.
Titan Potions are used to level up titans. You can get them:
- by beating Dungeon;
- at the Guild War Shop;
- at the Titan Soul Shop;
- as a gift from your Guild Master;
- by completing tasks in special events.
Titan Artifact Spheres grant artifact fragments and might drop an Elemental Spirit fragment. You can open them on the Altar of the Elements. There are several ways to get them:
- by completing daily quests;
- by following links in the community posts every Saturday and Sunday;
- by using emeralds.
Titan Skin Stones are used to improve titan skins. You can exchange Bronze Guild Trophies for Titan Skin Stones at the Guild War Shop, obtain them as a reward in special events, or get them from a special offer.
Each titan has a Default skin unlocked. Some titans also have Champion’s skins. You can upgrade or unlock skins with Titan Skin Stones.
There are three types of titan artifacts: Weapon, Crown, and Seal. Each artifact grants a titan additional characteristics. You can obtain them from Titan Artifact Spheres.

Pet Summoning Eggs grant random pet Soul Stones. You can get them by:
- Completing Adventures
- Completing daily tasks
Pet Potions are used to level up pets. You can get them:
- At the Pet Soul Stone Shop
- By completing Adventures
- By using emeralds
Pet Stones improve pet stats and allow promotion to the next rank. You can obtain Pet Stones by:
- Completing Adventures
- Using Chaos Particles
Chaos Particles are used to charge or buy Pet Stones. You can get Chaos Particles by:
- Completing daily quests
- Completing Adventures
- At the Pet Soul Stone Shop
A Gift of the Sanctuary is a special item that promotes any pet you own to the next rank. For example, if your pet is at Violet rank, the Gift will upgrade it to Violet+1.
- You can use the Gift to promote any pet of your choice, but it’s more effective on pets ranked Violet+3 or higher.
- The Gift of the Sanctuary is only obtainable as a Season reward.
- If you don’t use it before the Season ends, it will be sent to your in-game mail.
- When you collect the Gift during the Season, a pop-up will let you choose which pet to promote. You can close this window and collect the Gift later from your mail.
- After collecting it from the mail, the Gift appears in your Inventory under the bottom of the Consumable tab.
- The Gift never expires and can be used anytime.

Clash of World Trophies
Titanite is a resource you need to collect in the Dungeon to complete Guild activity quests. You can also get Titanite by completing Guild Quests.
Divination Cards allow you to complete Dungeon battles instantly. Note that your titans still take damage, so if all your titans are dead, you cannot use Divination Cards.
You can get Divination Cards:
- By having an active Valkyrie’s Favor — 15 Divination Cards per day
- By reaching certain milestones in the Dungeon — 5 Divination Cards per milestone, up to 15 additional Divination Cards per day in total
- By completing Guild Quests — 5 Divination Cards per day
Bronze and Qualifying league members receive Bronze Guild War trophies daily.
- When a Guild War week ends, the top-30 Bronze league Guilds and all Qualifying league participants receive Bronze trophies.
- You can exchange Silver trophies for Bronze ones at the Guild War Shop.
Silver league members receive Silver Guild War trophies daily.
- When a Guild War week ends, the top-10 Silver league Guilds receive both Silver and Bronze trophies.
- You can exchange Gold trophies for Silver ones at the Guild War Shop.
- You cannot exchange Bronze trophies for Silver ones.
Gold league members receive Gold Guild War trophies daily.
- When a Guild War week ends, the top-6 Gold league Guilds receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies.
- You cannot exchange Silver trophies for Gold ones.
Clash of Worlds trophies are the main reward in Clash of Worlds. You can use them to upgrade light and dark totems or to purchase goods at the Clash of Worlds Shop.
You can get Clash of Worlds trophies:
- As a reward for a 3-day battle. All Guild members receive trophies after the battle ends (on Wednesday and Saturday).
- As an end-of-season reward. Each member receives trophies based on their Guild’s league and division at season end.
- As a Top 50 reward. Guilds finishing in the Top 50 receive additional trophies.
- As a league-advancement reward. When a Guild advances to a new league for the first time in the Season, all members get trophies.
Note: Clash of Worlds rewards are sent via in-game mailbox. Don’t forget to collect them!
You can get Totem Spheres during special events or as a Special Season reward. There are seven types of Totem Spheres:
Lesser Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. The fragment drops randomly, so you cannot select its element.
Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. You can select the element of the fragment.
Dark Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a totem fragment of Darkness.
Light Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a totem fragment of Light.
Ancient Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a random totem fragment of Light or Darkness. The fragment drops randomly, so you cannot select its element.
Lesser Absolute Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. The fragment drops randomly, so you cannot select its element.
Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere
Gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. You can select the element of the fragment.

- Earn 20 Arena Coins per Arena victory.
- Earn 10 Arena Coins per successful defense (up to 50 per day).
- Receive daily Arena / Grand Arena rewards that include Arena Coins.
Grand Arena Coins are used at the Grand Arena Shop.
- Earn 20 Grand Arena Coins per Grand Arena victory.
- Earn 10 Grand Arena Coins per successful defense (up to 50 per day).
- Accumulate Grand Arena Coins hourly — claim them via the Grand Arena menu.
Tower Coins are the currency for the Tower Shop.
You can obtain them:
- By opening Tower Chests
- By earning Tower points in Tower battles
Artifact Coins are used to buy artifact fragments from the Artifact Merchant.
You can get them:
- By completing expeditions
- By opening Artifact Chests
- From the Elemental Tournament Shop
- Through special offers
- Via daily rewards with active Valkyrie’s Favor
Outland Coins are used at the Outland Shop.
Earn them:
- By defeating Outland bosses
- From daily Outland rewards
- From Outland Chests
- By completing the quest “Upgrade any hero’s skin 1 time”
- From special offers
Friendship Chips are used at the Friendship Shop.
Ways to earn:
- Receive them as gifts from guildmates (check in-game mail)
- Complete “Send gifts to your guildmates” daily quest for 100 Chips
- Purchase special offers
Used to purchase Titan Artifact fragments in the Elemental Tournament Shop.
Earn them by:
- Participating in the Elemental Tournament
- Completing the daily quest “Open the Titan Artifact Sphere” (300 Coins)
Earned weekly by participating in the Tournament of the Elements.
Can be used to buy items at the Elemental Tournament Shop.
Used to buy buffs in the Guild Raid Shop.
- Earn by defeating bosses’ minions during Guild Raids
- Reset to zero each Monday when a new Guild Raid begins
After evolving a hero to Absolute Star (6★):
Extra Soul Stones of that hero can be exchanged for Hero Soul Coins
Spend them in the Soul Shop
After evolving a titan to Absolute Star (6★):
- Extra Soul Stones of that titan convert into Titan Soul Coins
- Usable in the Titan Soul Shop
After evolving a pet to Absolute Star (6★):
- Extra Soul Stones of that pet convert into Pet Soul Coins
- Spend them in the Pet Soul Shop

Boxes contain random rewards. You can get them by following links shared in official Hero Wars communities.
The type of Box you receive depends on your team level.
Unlocked when you reach the maximum team level.
Instead of EXP from daily quests, you’ll receive Honorable Guardian Boxes, which contain random rewards.
Used to open Artifact Chests. You can get them:
- By completing daily and one-time quests
- As a daily reward from Valkyrie on the Airship
- As a bonus for purchasing or renewing Valkyrie’s Favor
- From tasks in special events
Each bottle gives 200 Energy points. You can obtain Bottled Energy:
- From the Town Shop
- In special offers
- As a Season reward
- By completing special event tasks
Earned by winning Tower battles.
- Skulls are used to buy buffs at Tower Altars
- Can also be exchanged for gold at the top of the Tower
- Maximize Skull rewards by earning three stars in battles
Contains various random game resources, including the chance to get another Nesting Doll!
You can get them:
- From another Heroic Nesting Doll
- By completing special event tasks
Contains random game resources, with a chance to get more Demon Dolls.
- Earn during a special event
- Get 1 Demon Doll per 35 energy points spent in the Campaign
- Open them from your Inventory
An avatar is your in-game portrait that shows off your personality. You can unlock more avatars by:
- Getting new heroes or titans
- Promoting heroes to purple rank
- Completing Campaign missions or achievements
- Purchasing and upgrading hero or titan skins
- Completing special event tasks
Frames surround your avatar and showcase your achievements.
You can earn frames by:
- Completing achievements
- Finishing tasks in special events
- Activating Season Tickets
