Hero Wars Totems
Totems are among the most powerful entities in Hero Wars, providing massive advantages in Titan battles. Each totem aligns with a specific element and offers a unique combat ability that can turn the tide of battle.
In total, there are five totems:
- Water Spirit Totem
- Fire Spirit Totem
- Earth Spirit Totem
- Dark Spirit Totem
- Light Spirit Totem
Totem Abilities by Element
Water Spirit Totem
Heals all allied titans and deals AoE damage to nearby enemies for 10 seconds.
Healing is split evenly among all damaged allies.
Example: If the totem heals for 3,000 HP and three titans need healing, each receives 1,000 HP.
Boosts Attack stat of all Water Titans.
Earth Spirit Totem
Creates a crystal barrier that protects allies.
Reflects 2x damage received back to attackers.
Boosts Health stat of all Earth Titans.
Fire Spirit Totem
Summons a fiery storm that sweeps across the enemy team, dealing area damage.
Boosts Attack stat of all Fire Titans.
Dark Spirit Totem
Conjures a black hole in the enemy team’s center, pulling in titans and damaging them over 5 seconds.
The closer a titan is to the black hole’s center, the more damage it takes.
Boosts Health stat of all Dark Titans.
Light Spirit Totem
Summons a supernova that charges for 5 seconds.
During the charge, allied titans’ health can’t fall below 1.
Explodes to damage all enemy titans.
Boosts Attack stat of all Light Titans.
Activation Requirements
Water, Fire, and Earth Totems: Require at least 3 titans of the same element to activate.
Light and Dark Totems: Require only 2 titans of the corresponding element.
You can bring two totems into battle if one is either Light or Dark.
The stat boosts (Health/Attack) from totems apply even if the totem isn’t summoned during battle.
How to Get Totems
There are two primary methods of acquiring totem fragments:
Titan Artifact Spheres
- Available at the Altar of the Elements
- Opening one may give you a totem fragment.
When you receive a fragment this way, your Bad Luck Protection step increases, but emeralds spent do not reset.
Example:
You have 2 fragments and spend 45,000 emeralds. If a fragment drops from a Titan Artifact Sphere, your emerald count stays at 45,000. The next guaranteed drop will require 850,000 emeralds.
Totem Spheres
- These are typically rewards from events or Special Seasons.
- Totem Spheres provide direct totem fragments and also advance Bad Luck Protection while resetting emerald count to the next threshold.
Example:
You have 2 fragments and have spent 45,000 emeralds. Opening a Totem Sphere jumps your counter to the next step (466,667). Your next guaranteed totem will be at 850,000 emeralds.
Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. You can select the element of the fragment.
Lesser Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
Dark Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Darkness.
Ancient Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Light or Darkness. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. You can select the element of the fragment.
Light Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Light.
Lesser Absolute Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
Totem Sphere Types
⚠️ Important Notes
- The first two totem fragments from the Altar of the Elements or from Totem Spheres will always match the strongest element among your titans (by power).
- E.g., if Water Titans are strongest, the first two fragments will be Water.
- This rule does not apply to the Lesser Absolute Spirit Summoning Sphere, which gives random fragments for all elements from the start.
