Top 3 Beginner Teams Guide 2026

Top 3 Beginner Teams Guide

Not every player arrives at Hero Wars: Alliance at the same time. Some have been here for years. Others are starting fresh right now. And every time a new wave of players lands, the same question comes back around: where do I even begin?

This top 3 beginner teams guide answers that question with three real teams — not theorycrafted endgame rosters, but foundations that work immediately and keep growing with you. Each one covers a different priority: speed, consistency, and resources. Pick the direction that fits where you are, and build from there.

Top 3 Beginner Teams Guide: Why These Foundations Work

Here is something worth understanding before we get into the teams themselves. These are called beginner teams not because they fade out — but because they create the base everything else builds on. Once your account reaches higher power levels, sometimes a single hero swap or two completely transforms a team into something new. In fact, you almost never lose what you invest in. Every hero finds a role somewhere.

That said, the biggest mistake beginners make is not building weak heroes. It is building random heroes. These three teams give your roster a direction instead of scatter.

Team 1 — Eternity: Corvus, Dante, Morrigan, Iris, Octavia

Top 3 Beginner Teams Guide - Eternity team in action

If speed is your priority, the Eternity faction is where you start. This lineup is one of the easiest recommendations possible because almost everything inside it feeds everything else.

Corvus creates protection while simultaneously punishing enemies for attacking. Morrigan supports him perfectly — she prevents healing while generating skeletons that add pressure and stability throughout the fight. Dante then becomes your main physical weapon, pushing enemies backwards and scaling harder as the battle extends.

There has been some discussion lately about Octavia in this setup. The argument goes: Iris deals damage over time, damage over time hurts dodge, therefore Octavia is less relevant. That reasoning is incomplete. What changed is not Octavia’s value — what changed is that players finally discovered situations where she is not automatically the answer to every lineup. Octavia still generates enormous dodge for the team, still reflects received damage, still boosts energy generation, and still provides meaningful survivability. Most importantly, she gives the team time.

Time is exactly what this team wants. More time means more Dante attacks, which in turn creates more stat pressure and more opportunities for Iris — who inside Eternity does not simply exist, she escalates. Corvus reduces defenses, Dante reduces stats, and Morrigan creates ongoing pressure throughout. All of it continuously feeds Iris damage. As a result, the longer the fight runs, the more dangerous this team becomes.

Ultimately, Octavia did not lose value. She stopped being something you throw into every lineup blindly. That is a very different thing.

Team 2 — Progress: Julius, Judge, Isaac, Fólio, Polaris

If consistency matters more than speed, the Progress faction delivers something beginners desperately need: protection, control, and reliable performance across a wide variety of matchups.

Julius creates shields. Judge creates shields. Isaac creates shields. Already you have a survival layer that most beginner teams simply cannot punch through. But survival alone does not win. Judge also generates continuous stuns and pushes momentum forward. Isaac disrupts enemy positioning and timing. Together they give you control alongside durability.

This is where Polaris becomes the team’s defining piece — and she may actually be one of the cheapest heroes to build in the game. You do not need enormous early investment. Simply obtain Polaris, focus heavily on her fourth skill, and the returns start immediately. Aurora Borealis activates continuously as Progress heroes fire their abilities. Additionally, Progress heroes receive significant magical amplification, and non-Progress heroes still pick up meaningful bonuses.

Now look at Fólio inside that setup. Fólio already produces high magical damage built around magical critical hits. Add Polaris amplification on top of that, and large numbers become much larger numbers. The combination punishes enemies who cannot break through the shield layer fast enough — and most cannot.

Consistency wins battles. This team is built around that truth.

Top 3 Beginner Teams Guide — Team 3: Hydra with Mushy, Xe’Sha, Faceless, Aidan, Martha

Team three is not primarily a PvP lineup. It is a resource machine — and resources are what actually push accounts forward.

Dust, artifact resources, blue spheres, Titan progression, Hydra rewards. All of these matter enormously in the long run, and this team is built specifically to destroy Hydras. Mushy creates additional targets and sustained pressure. Xe’Sha converts health into absurd damage amplification as fights extend. Faceless adds flexibility by copying key abilities. Aidan continuously stabilizes the team across long encounters.

Then Martha provides the one thing this team loves most: time. This is a slow team by design — deliberately slow. Extended fights benefit Mushy, and they benefit Xe’Sha even more. Meanwhile, healing cycles compound and damage numbers grow into something massive. That is ultimately why Hydras disappear against it.

As a bonus: with a few adjustments later in your account’s development, this foundation converts into another PvP team as well. You build it for resources now and get more options later.

Three Directions, Three Foundations

Speed, consistency, resources. This top 3 beginner teams guide covers the most important early account priorities without requiring rare heroes or years of preparation. The goal is not to build everything at once — it is to pick a direction and build with purpose.
