What is Area of Conquest?
Area of Conquest, commonly known as AOC, is one of the most strategic and competitive cross-server events in Hero Wars. In this intense guild versus guild competition, four guilds battle for territorial control across a hexagonal map filled with valuable settlements. The goal is simple yet challenging: capture and hold as many settlements as possible to accumulate points and claim victory.
Unlike other Hero Wars events that rely purely on combat power, AOC demands careful planning, strategic coordination, and precise calculations to predict outcomes and adjust tactics accordingly. This is where our AOC Calculator becomes an invaluable tool for guild leaders and strategists.
⚠️ Important Note:
Before using Multiplayer Mode, you must generate a session code first. Only after creating the code should you fill the map and point fields. If you enter settlements or points before generating the code, your changes will not be saved. Always create the session code first, then set up your map.

Understanding the AOC Map Structure
The Hero Wars Area Of Conquest battlefield consists of 35 strategically placed settlements, each offering different point values based on their importance and difficulty to capture. The map layout includes:
1-Point Settlements (12 Total): These are the smallest outposts scattered around the outer edges of the map. While individually they provide minimal points, collectively they can make a significant difference. These settlements are typically easier to capture and defend, making them ideal starting positions for guilds building momentum.
2-Point Settlements (8 Total): Positioned at key intermediate locations, these settlements offer double the value of basic outposts. They serve as crucial stepping stones toward higher-value targets and often become contested zones during mid-game strategy shifts.
4-Point Settlements (8 Total): These medium-value settlements represent strategic chokepoints on the map. Controlling these positions can restrict enemy movement and provide substantial point generation. Guilds often fight fiercely over these locations as they offer excellent return on investment.
8-Point Settlements (6 Total): High-value targets positioned closer to the map’s center, these settlements are the backbone of any winning strategy. Capturing and holding even two or three of these can dramatically shift the balance of power. However, they’re also prime targets for enemy attacks.
32-Point Capital (1 Settlement): The crown jewel of the AOC map sits at the very center. This single settlement generates more points than any other location and often determines the winner. However, its central position makes it extremely difficult to defend, as enemies can attack from multiple directions.
How Points Per Minute (PPM) Works
The key mechanic in AOC is the Points Per Minute system. Unlike events where you gain points only through active combat, AOC rewards territorial control with continuous point generation. Every settlement you hold generates its point value every single minute throughout the event duration.
For example, if your guild controls three 8-point settlements, you’re earning 24 points every minute. Over an hour, that’s 1,440 points. Over a full day, it totals 34,560 points—all from just three settlements. This exponential accumulation is why early captures and sustained defense are so crucial to success.
Using the AOC Calculator: Step-by-Step
Our calculator transforms complex AOC mathematics into simple, actionable insights. Here’s how to use it effectively:
Step 1: Mark Your Settlements
Click on each settlement on the interactive map to assign ownership. Each click cycles through the four guild colors: Red, Blue, Yellow, and Purple. The settlement circles change color to reflect current ownership, giving you a clear visual representation of territorial control. You can click any settlement again to change or remove ownership as the battle situation evolves.
Step 2: Input Current Scores
Enter each guild’s current point total in the designated input fields. These numbers represent the points already accumulated through captures and defenses. Accurate current scores are essential for reliable projections, so update these values regularly as the event progresses.
Step 3: Set Time Remaining
Input the remaining event duration using the Days, Hours, and Minutes fields. AOC events typically run for several days, and knowing exactly how much time remains is crucial for calculating final outcomes. Even small time differences can result in thousands of points variance in close competitions.
Step 4: Calculate Results
Click the “Calculate Results” button to generate comprehensive projections. The calculator instantly computes each guild’s PPM based on settlement ownership, multiplies it by remaining minutes, adds current scores, and displays final projected standings.
Understanding Your Results Area Of Conquest Calculator
The results section provides multiple layers of strategic intelligence:
Points Per Minute (PPM): Shows how many points each guild generates every minute based on current settlement control. This metric reveals which guild has superior territorial position regardless of current score.
Current Score: Displays each guild’s existing point total, providing context for how much ground needs to be made up or protected.
Final Projected Score: The most critical number—where each guild will finish if current territorial control remains unchanged. This projection helps guilds decide whether they need aggressive offensive action or can maintain defensive positions.
Victory Margin: Calculates the point difference between first and second place, both in absolute numbers and percentage. This helps guilds understand how secure their lead is or how achievable a comeback might be.
Strategic Applications Area Of Conquest Calculator
Smart guild leaders use this calculator throughout the event to make informed decisions. If projections show your guild falling short, you know you must capture additional high-value settlements. If you’re projected to win comfortably, you can focus on defense rather than risky attacks.
The calculator also helps with resource management. Instead of wasting energy attacking 1-point settlements when you’re behind, you can see exactly which higher-value targets you need to capture to change the outcome.
Maximizing Calculator Effectiveness Area Of Conquest Calculator
For best results, update the calculator frequently as the battle situation changes. After every major capture or loss, recalculate to see how it affects final projections. Share results with your guild to coordinate strategy and prioritize objectives.
Remember that the calculator assumes current ownership remains constant. In reality, settlements change hands throughout the event, so use projections as strategic guidance rather than guaranteed outcomes. The most successful guilds combine calculator insights with strong communication, coordinated attacks, and flexible tactical adjustments.
With our AOC Calculator, you transform chaos into clarity, giving your guild the strategic edge needed to dominate the Area of Conquest and claim victory.
