Best Orion Teams Guide | Hero Wars Alliance
Welcome to our Best Orion Teams Guide for Hero Wars Alliance, where we break down exactly how to build around one of the game’s most misunderstood magical threats. Orion, the Alien Mage, is a galactic emissary whose real value isn’t raw damage — it’s what he unlocks for the strongest mages standing beside him. If you only stare at his damage numbers, you’ll badly underrate him, because his true power comes from combining constant magical pressure with control and turning your other damage dealers into something devastating.
Who Is Orion, the Alien Mage?
Orion is a magical damage dealer who fires abilities at an absurd speed while controlling several areas of the battlefield at once. He can absolutely deal serious Magic Damage, yet he shouldn’t be treated as the only offensive weapon on your team. Instead, think of him as the hero who creates opportunities — the one who opens the door so a heavier hitter can walk through it. Once you understand that role, everything about building him starts to click.
Orion’s Kit: Missiles, Energy, and Control
The Six-Missile Barrage
Orion launches six magical missiles that initially target the three enemies with the highest Health, sending two missiles into each of them. The dangerous part is what happens as enemies fall: the missile count never decreases. When one target dies, those six missiles simply redistribute — so two survivors can each take three, and if only one enemy is left standing, all six can slam into that final target. As a result, the fewer heroes in front of Orion, the more concentrated his pressure becomes, creating a brutal snowball where every kill makes the next one arrive faster.
Rapid Energy Generation
On top of that firepower, Orion generates a huge amount of bonus Energy from his basic attacks, which dramatically accelerates his offensive cycle. Roughly every two regular attacks, he’s already lining up another Ultimate and another wave of missiles. Because that loop repeats so quickly, Orion can feel genuinely relentless in fast battles — attack, attack, Ultimate, missiles, and straight back around again.
Magnetic Field Slow
Orion isn’t only about missiles, though. He can create a powerful magnetic field that explodes across the enemy backline, dealing Magic Damage while slowing those enemies for four seconds. Slowing a backline is easy to underestimate, yet speed is momentum and timing for every hero on the field. When you strip that speed away, the enemy formation stops operating efficiently, their abilities arrive later, and Orion’s team buys extra time to keep applying pressure.
Antimatter Stun
Then there’s Antimatter. Here Orion turns toward the nearest enemy and fires a special magical missile that deals Magic Damage and, crucially, Stuns the target. A stunned enemy isn’t merely slowed — they’re completely stopped, which hands Orion’s team yet another window to work. Put the whole kit together and the package looks like this: heavy magical firepower, extremely fast Energy generation, backline disruption through Slow, single-target control through Stun, and constant chances to fire another Ultimate.
That toolkit naturally favors fast, aggressive battles, which is exactly why we don’t recommend running Orion as your only offensive option. Give him a second serious weapon, let him create the conditions, and then let a partner exploit them. So let’s look at the heroes who bring out his best.
Best Orion Teams Guide: Top Synergy Partners
Every combination below exploits something specific that Orion provides — his Magic Penetration, his control, or simply the time his cycle needs to keep running. That shared idea is the heart of this Best Orion Teams Guide, so as you read, notice that we’re never just stacking damage dealers.
Orion + Polaris
The most natural and common pairing starts with Polaris. She can be incredibly destructive, but she has a real limitation: Magic Penetration. Orion solves it completely. Once Polaris operates under his Magic Penetration support, her Ultimate can become devastating — there are battles where a single well-timed Polaris Ultimate is enough to wipe the opposing formation. Better still, the synergy doesn’t stop at damage, because Polaris also brings constant Stuns that stop enemies from ever settling into their rhythm. Orion opens the door; Polaris walks through it with a cannon.
Orion + Judge
Once again, Orion’s Magic Penetration becomes the key ingredient. Judge’s Ultimate hits extremely hard when Orion helps him break through the enemy’s magical defenses. On top of that, Judge complements Orion’s control with more Stuns, more Slow, and more disruption overall. Rather than five heroes racing to deal damage, you’re building windows where the enemy struggles to respond while your magic keeps piling on.
Orion + Arachne
With Arachne, the idea is straightforward: time. Her control abilities can completely stop targets, and every moment an enemy spends unable to act is another moment Orion has to continue his cycle — basic attacks, Energy, another ability, another Ultimate, another missile barrage. Arachne doesn’t need to replace his damage. Instead, she creates the breathing room that lets him keep producing it.
Orion + Julius
Here the synergy changes completely. Instead of adding another offensive weapon, Julius keeps the Progress engine alive. His Shields provide excellent protection, with particularly strong interactions for Progress heroes, and he can heal and accelerate them more effectively than allies outside the faction. Because speed around Orion is exactly what we want, keeping him protected and accelerated turns that constant stream of missiles into something the opponent simply can’t shut off.
Orion + Electra
Electra offers another interesting direction. She can increase Orion’s Magic Attack while simultaneously Blinding enemies, so you’re strengthening the alien mage offensively and interfering with the enemy at the same time. More Magic Attack means more pressure from Orion, while Blind adds another layer of disruption from his teammate — once again, an environment built for him rather than a pile of damage dealers.
Orion + Iris
Finally, Iris can make this combination extremely dangerous. She reduces the enemy’s Magic Defense while bringing enormous damage of her own. Think about what that does to the opposing defenses: Iris tears down Magic Defense from one side while Orion supports your offense with Magic Penetration from the other. Then Iris does what she does best, dumping huge damage into targets that can no longer protect themselves.
How to Build Around Orion
The real lesson of this Best Orion Teams Guide is simple: don’t ask how much damage Orion can deal, ask what your team can do because Orion is there. He attacks quickly, generates Energy incredibly fast, concentrates his missiles as enemies vanish, slows the backline, Stuns the nearest threat, and hands other mages the Magic Penetration they desperately want. When all of those mechanics run together, an already dangerous magical composition becomes far more explosive.
So don’t send the Alien Mage into battle expecting him to conquer alone. Protect him, give him control, pair him with a second serious magical threat, and let that Energy engine start running. Because once Orion finds his rhythm, those six missiles keep coming — and as enemies begin disappearing, there are fewer and fewer places left for them to go.
