Relic Tier List Guide | Hero Wars Alliance
Guardians, welcome back — this is Olympus Alliance, and today we are finally doing something we have wanted to do for a very long time. We are ranking the Relics. This Relic Tier List Guide for Hero Wars Alliance works a little differently from a traditional tier list, because Relics require an enormous investment, and sometimes the most important question is not whether a Golden Relic is powerful. The question is whether you actually need to go that far.
The Relic Release Pattern Nobody Is Talking About
Before we begin, there is something happening with Relics that some Guardians may not have noticed yet, and we think it is extremely interesting. Look at the factions.
Guardians, we do not believe this pattern is random. In our opinion, this has actually been handled very intelligently. Instead of continuously giving Relics to one faction and allowing that faction to become increasingly powerful while another faction receives almost nothing, the releases appear to be controlled around the factions.
Furthermore, if this pattern continues, we believe Progress and Honor should be the next factions receiving more attention, potentially alternating between them until both begin catching up with the others. Of course, this is our prediction based entirely on the pattern we have seen until now — it is not confirmed information. But with four factions already reaching, or preparing to reach, six heroes, this feels like the perfect moment to stop and answer one of the most important questions surrounding Relics: where should you actually spend your resources?
A Special Thank You to Blaze Plays
Before we begin, we also want to give a very special thank you to Blaze Plays. Blaze Plays has been a great friend of ours for a very long time, and he was also a huge help in preparing this Relic Tier List Guide. Together, we went through the heroes, the Relics, the different levels and the mechanics, discussing, testing and analyzing everything before reaching our final conclusions.
This is something we truly value. Because at the end of the day, this community should never be only about competition, numbers, or who knows more than someone else. Friendship, sharing ideas, testing together and, most importantly, having fun together is how we all go further. So Blaze Plays, thank you, my friend, for your time, your help and all the discussions while we were preparing this. It was a pleasure analyzing all of this together.
How Our Relic Tier List Guide Works
We are not simply ranking heroes from worst to best. Sometimes Level 10 already gives you exactly what you need. Sometimes Level 20 introduces a mechanic so powerful that it completely changes the hero. And sometimes the final Golden Relic is exactly what completes the transformation. That is why we created four categories:
Additionally, there are some heroes you will see twice — and that is intentional. A hero can be an incredible Early Power recommendation for a Guardian with limited resources while still deserving the complete journey to God Tier if you have the resources available. And now, Guardians, starting from the lowest investment priority and working our way toward the absolute monsters, let’s begin.
Minor Impact
Oya
Oya’s Golden Relic increases her damage against shielded enemies. On paper, extra damage is always welcome, but the problem is how much value we actually get from the condition. Right now, we simply don’t believe shields are prevalent enough to make chasing Oya’s Golden Relic a major priority.
There is another important reason as well. For us, one of Oya’s most interesting Relic upgrades already comes earlier with her Purple Relic. So don’t misunderstand this category — we are not saying Oya’s Relics are useless. We are saying that if your Relic resources are limited, taking Oya all the way to Gold doesn’t give us the kind of transformation we are looking for. For that reason, Oya starts our Minor Impact category.
Jhu
Guardians, his Golden Relic sounds fantastic when you first hear it. Triple Critical Damage. That sounds terrifying. But this is exactly why we cannot build a Relic Tier List by simply reading descriptions — we need to look at what that ability actually changes for the hero.
Unfortunately, even with that additional Critical Damage, the current META leaves very little room for Jhu. There are simply other Relic investments capable of producing much larger changes to a hero or an entire team. The Golden ability isn’t bad; the return on that enormous investment is the problem. And for us, that keeps Jhu in Minor Impact.
Kai
Kai’s Golden Relic can become increasingly dangerous through prolonged battles and the healing he receives through Vampirism. The longer the fight continues, the more opportunity there is for that value to appear. But once again, we have a condition: we need the right type of battle, and we need time.
When we compare that with Relics that immediately change how a hero functions, it becomes difficult to prioritize Kai. There will absolutely be situations where his Relics perform well. However, if we are deciding where our resources go first, Kai remains in Minor Impact.
Arachne
Arachne is actually an interesting case because there is real potential inside her Relics. Her Blue Relic can create excellent Stun opportunities, and her Golden Relic can further improve both damage and control. But the problem is reliability. The requirements remain demanding, and we don’t consistently get the kind of transformation that would justify pushing her ahead of the heroes we are about to discuss.
So Arachne completes Minor Impact. And yes, Guardians, Arachne is currently the only Progress hero with Relics, which makes what happens next with the Progress faction even more interesting to watch.
Early Power
Now Guardians, things change. This category is extremely important for free-to-play Guardians, newer players, or simply anyone trying to manage Relic resources intelligently. These are heroes where you can invest relatively little and already receive something meaningful in return.
Dante
Dante’s Golden Relic improves his damage output. But our question is simple: do we really need to go all the way there? In the current environment, with Damage Over Time becoming increasingly relevant and heroes like Miu and Iris creating serious problems for him, we don’t believe the final investment changes Dante enough to make Gold a major priority.
That doesn’t mean ignoring his Relics. Instead, it means taking the useful early improvements and understanding that there may be much better places to put the next resources. That is exactly what Early Power represents.
Cascade
Cascade’s Relics aren’t bad at all. They are simply more focused on Control than on completely reinventing the hero. For that reason, Level 10 is already a very reasonable target for us. You receive useful additional tools without committing yourself to an enormous investment chasing a transformation that never becomes as dramatic as some of the heroes later on this list. Good Relics, useful improvements — but for a balanced investment, Early Power is where we are comfortable with Cascade.
Tristan
Tristan is another excellent example of why Level 10 can sometimes be enough. At Level 10, we already gain Silence and additional damage. That is real battlefield value for a relatively controlled investment.
Now, Level 20 and Level 30 are powerful. They can increase Tristan’s own performance and provide considerably more power to his allies. But we still have to ask whether those additional resources solve the problems his teams can face — and right now, not always. Iris is a perfect example, because Inner Fire can still tear through these compositions incredibly quickly. So if your resources are limited and you’re looking for balance, Tristan at Level 10 already gives you a very useful package.
Kayla
Guardians, you know how much we love Chaos. So believe me, we wanted Kayla to be much higher — and maybe that is exactly why we expected more from her Relics. They aren’t bad. Her Golden Relic increases her damage as she loses Health, and conceptually that fits Kayla very well. She wants aggression. She wants pressure. She is constantly putting herself into dangerous situations.
However, the problem is that the Relics don’t fundamentally solve the things currently holding Kayla back. She can still be controlled, and the current META provides several ways of dealing with her. So while additional investment makes her stronger, we don’t experience that moment where Kayla suddenly becomes a completely different hero. For us, she fits much better in Early Power. Take the useful value, and make her stronger if you use her. But unless Kayla is absolutely central to your account, we wouldn’t make Gold one of our first Relic priorities.
Satori, Lian, Crow and Cleaver — The Early Stopping Points
And now we reach four very special heroes: Satori, Lian, Crow and Cleaver. You will see every one of them again later. Because if your budget is limited, these heroes offer fantastic early stopping points. But if you have the resources? We believe all four deserve much more.
Satori — Already at Level 10, Satori receives something incredibly valuable: he can remove negative effects from himself. Think about what Satori actually wants to do. He needs freedom, he needs time to spread Fox Fire Marks, and then he needs the opportunity to detonate them. Negative effects interfere with that entire process. So giving Satori a way to clean himself creates immediate additional sustainability and gives him more freedom to execute the mechanic that makes him dangerous. If you have a low budget, this is already a fantastic place to reach. But remember Satori — we are not finished with him.
Lian — Level 10 already gives Lian excellent additional value through her Charm and damage. When we look at how frequently Lian can influence a battle through Charm, that early investment can already be felt. But again, this is only the beginning, because Lian has one of those Golden abilities that changes the conversation completely. We will return to that when we reach God Tier. For low-budget Guardians, however, Level 10 already gives you enough to justify placing her in Early Power.
Crow — One of the newest Honor heroes, and in our opinion, one of the best-designed sets of Relics we have seen. Already at Level 10, Crow starts spreading Silence across the battlefield. That alone is impressive, because Silence can interrupt dangerous magical abilities, disrupt timing and create opportunities for the rest of the team. But Level 10 is only our low-budget recommendation — Crow has something waiting at Level 20 that is absolutely extraordinary. We will come back to him.
Cleaver — The Butcher. After everything we have tested recently, Cleaver might be one of the clearest demonstrations of what Relics can do for an old hero. Even Level 1 already begins adding damage. But Level 10 is where things become serious, because Cleaver begins heavily reducing healing. And Guardians, we have actually seen how dramatic that difference can become. Against teams that depend heavily on sustain, suddenly that healing engine is no longer operating normally. That alone makes Level 10 a fantastic stopping point for a Guardian working with limited resources. But exactly like Satori, Lian and Crow, Cleaver isn’t really finished here. Not even close.
Game Changer
Guardians, this might actually be our favorite category. These are the Relics where we reach that Purple area, particularly Level 20, and suddenly a skill or mechanic becomes something substantially different. You don’t necessarily need Gold — the transformation has already happened.
Somna
Somna’s Golden Relic is powerful. It reduces the cooldown of her Sheep transformation from ten seconds to five, and that is an enormous amount of additional Control. But the reason Somna sits here instead of God Tier is very simple: she is already extremely effective before reaching that point. Her lower Relic levels already give us so much battlefield value that we don’t consider Gold mandatory to unlock the version of Somna we want. If you have the resources, Gold absolutely makes her stronger. But if you’re managing resources carefully, you can stop earlier and still have a monster. That is Game Changer.
Tempus
Tempus gains survivability, damage and additional Control through his Relics. His Golden ability adds another interesting defensive-control interaction: when enemies attempt to control Tempus, they can be punished through Chronostasis. That can be extremely strong — but notice the condition. The enemy needs to attempt Control.
Meanwhile, before reaching Gold, Tempus is already receiving extremely useful improvements alongside the Magic Penetration support and scaling that make him valuable. So for us, the transformation happens early enough that Purple represents an excellent target. Gold improves him. Purple already changes him.
Folio
This is probably one of the cleanest examples of what we mean by Game Changer. Yes, Folio’s Golden Relic can create even more damage when his Intelligence exceeds the Intelligence of the enemy. That’s good. But we are much more interested in what happens at Level 20, because Ink Copy changes. The Copy can now restore Health, and it can receive buffs.
Guardians, that is not simply another percentage increase — that changes what the Copy can do inside the battle. We already have something capable of absorbing pressure and creating disruption. Now we introduce sustain, and now we allow buffs to interact with it. Suddenly that Copy becomes much more than an additional body sitting on the battlefield. That is disruption at its finest, and that is exactly why we created the name Game Changer.
Alvanor
Gold is fantastic for Alvanor. His Golden Relic increases the effects he applies, creating excellent synergy with what his earlier Relics are already doing. His abilities can operate longer and better, and the interactions around cooldown reduction become increasingly powerful.
But again, Guardians, we’re asking where the transformation happens — and for us, Purple Alvanor is already a monster. If you have unlimited resources, continue, of course. But if your budget is limited, we are extremely comfortable stopping at the Purple breakpoint and taking the enormous value already available there.
Dorian
This one gave us mixed feelings, because Dorian absolutely has an argument for God Tier. His Golden mechanic involving resurrection can be the difference between winning and losing a battle. Dorian can revive, his allies can revive, and when you combine that with everything Dorian already does for sustain, it can become incredibly frustrating to fight.
But we kept coming back to the same question: at what point do Dorian’s Relics already change the hero enough for us? Our answer is Purple. Dorian is constantly working through Vampirism and Fountain of Blood, and healing is already central to his identity. At Purple, he gains another extremely valuable layer because Stun and Sleep can be blocked for a portion of time.
Now think about what that means for a hero whose job is to keep the sustain engine operating. You’re protecting him from effects capable of interrupting that engine. You’re giving him more opportunities to maintain Vampirism, and more opportunities to maintain his healing interactions. So yes, Guardians, Gold Dorian can be incredible — we are not questioning that. But if you’re asking us where the investment becomes transformative, Purple already gives us what we need to call Dorian a Game Changer.
God Tier
This is where we stop asking whether the Relic is simply useful. These are the heroes where we believe chasing the complete package can be justified.
Byrna
Byrna’s Golden Relic increases healing from all abilities by thirty percent. Thirty percent. On a hero already heavily involved in keeping the team alive, that alone is enormous. But then we combine it with her Purple skill: when healing is applied to allies who are already fully healed, their maximum Health can increase.
Now we create a cycle. Healing, maximum Health growth, more survivability, more opportunity to heal, more sustain. And the longer Byrna is allowed to maintain that engine, the more difficult the team can become to bring down. This isn’t simply Byrna healing a little more — the Golden Relic strengthens a mechanic that can make the entire composition increasingly difficult to kill. That deserves God Tier.
Electra
When Electra drops below fifty percent Health, her Golden Relic can make her immune to Control effects. And that matters enormously. No Stun, no Sleep, no interruption from those control effects during the window where Electra becomes most dangerous.
That additional freedom allows her to continue generating Energy. More Energy means more Ultimates, and more Ultimates can mean more moments where Electra becomes immune to incoming damage. So the enemy gets Electra low and expects to finish the job. Instead, they can trigger the point where controlling her becomes much harder. That is an excellent Golden mechanic. God Tier.
Drayne
Drayne needs very little introduction. His Golden Relic can provide permanent Crushing to allies. Permanent. And this is where we go beyond improving one hero — we’re affecting the team. We’re changing how the entire composition can pressure enemies once those Crushing conditions become relevant.
Offensively, it becomes dangerous. Defensively, the opponent now has another major mechanic to consider when attacking the team. Drayne goes from being one piece of the composition to enabling something much larger around him. That is exactly the kind of team-wide transformation we expect from a Golden Relic. Drayne belongs in God Tier.
Iris
Guardians, Damage Over Time is already one of the most dangerous mechanics in the current environment, and Iris benefits enormously from it. Her Golden Relic extends the duration of her curses. That means more consistency, more time for those effects to work, and more pressure throughout the battle.
Additionally, the journey through the Relic levels is giving Iris additional Health and Magic Attack. So we are simultaneously making one of the most dangerous damage dealers harder to remove while increasing the environment in which her damage can operate. We’ve all seen what happens when Iris gets the opportunity she needs — battles can disappear incredibly quickly. And Gold makes that threat even more difficult to contain. Iris is God Tier.
Maya
Flower power. Maya’s Golden ability creates another very complete transformation. Her healing becomes stronger, her damage becomes stronger, and most importantly, her ability to sustain the frontline becomes extremely difficult to deal with.
The longer that frontline survives, the more time Maya creates for the rest of the composition, and enemy damage dealers can find themselves struggling to reach the targets they actually want. This isn’t just additional damage, and it isn’t just additional healing — it’s both sides of Maya’s role becoming more effective at the same time. For us, that complete package belongs in God Tier.
Yasmine
The Silent Assassin. Her Golden Relic attacks one of the biggest problems an assassin can have: surviving the moment when the enemy finally catches her. After taking heavy burst damage, Yasmine can become immune to incoming damage for five seconds.
Five seconds in Hero Wars can be enormous. Five seconds can be another skill, another opportunity to attack, another opportunity to recover, another opportunity for the rest of the team to change the battle. And when we combine that with her Blue Relic removing negative effects and Yasmine’s existing mechanics, suddenly finishing her becomes significantly more complicated. The enemy thinks they finally have her — and then she simply refuses to die. God Tier.
Miu
Miu already brings Magic Critical Hit support while creating problems through Blind. Her Golden ability extends that Blind duration by another three seconds. And three additional seconds of Blind is not a cosmetic improvement. It means more time where the enemy is compromised, more time for Miu’s allies to exploit that vulnerability, and more opportunities to create damage while the opposing composition struggles to respond correctly.
Then we add the survivability and Magic Attack coming from her Relic development. The complete package strengthens both her support and her ability to remain active. For us, Miu deserves God Tier.
Kendle
Kendle is one of the most fascinating examples because the transformation actually begins before Gold. At Level 20, Kendle introduces something extraordinary: Pure Damage can critically strike through the mechanic she provides to allies. That alone is a genuine Game Changer.
But we decided to continue, because at Level 30, every time allies sacrifice Health or damage themselves through allied abilities, Kendle gains additional Pure Damage. Now put that inside Chaos. Think about how frequently this faction works through sacrifice. Think about Dorian. Think about Cleaver. Think about the constant exchange where Chaos sacrifices something to gain something stronger in return.
Suddenly Kendle isn’t simply sitting beside these mechanics — she is feeding from them. Every sacrifice can become another opportunity to increase her threat. Purple introduces the madness, and Gold completes it. For a hero designed around one of the most distinctive identities of Chaos, we believe the complete package deserves God Tier.
Phobos
This is another hero where the final ability matters enormously to our decision. Phobos is already built around making life miserable for dangerous enemies, especially those relying heavily on Energy and magic. But his Golden Relic takes that control to another level. Every ten seconds, Phobos can curse the enemy with the highest Energy. And if that target dies, the curse doesn’t simply disappear — it continues.
Now combine that with his Green and Blue Relics and the rest of his control package. The opponent is building Energy, and they’re approaching the Ultimate that could change the fight. Phobos attacks exactly that process. You want your Ultimate? Not in here.
This is where Phobos becomes far more than an occasional answer to a mage. He becomes a sustained Control and Curse machine capable of interfering with one of the most important resources in every battle. For us, the Level 30 mechanic completes that transformation. Phobos belongs in God Tier.
The Four Returning Heroes
And now Guardians, we return to four familiar faces. Remember what we told you at the beginning: Early Power doesn’t always mean stop. Sometimes it means that if you have limited resources, you can stop there and already be extremely happy. But if you have the resources to continue, some heroes reward you again.
Satori — The Fire Mark Fortress
At Level 10, we already loved what we received. Removing negative effects gives Satori more freedom to spread his Fox Fire Marks and prepare the detonation. But now we reach Gold — and enemies carrying four or more Fire Marks deal fifty percent less damage to Satori.
Think about how perfectly that fits his win condition. Satori wants marks on you. The more he establishes his game, the closer he moves toward the moment where those marks can become devastating. And now, once enemies have four or more of those marks, killing Satori becomes significantly harder.
So the enemy enters a race: kill him before he establishes the marks. Because once Satori gets there, you’re not simply waiting for the detonation anymore — you’re also dealing substantially less damage to the hero you’re desperately trying to remove. That is brutal. Level 10 is excellent for a low-budget investment, but if Satori is important to your account, Gold absolutely gives us enough to bring him back into God Tier.
Lian — Charm Becomes a Weapon
This is where we need to be very precise. At Level 10, Lian already receives excellent value through additional Charm and damage — that’s why she appeared in Early Power. But the mechanic that truly changes the conversation comes at Level 30. Lian spends enormous portions of battles Charming enemies, and with her Golden Relic, when those Charmed enemies are attacked, Lian adds Pure Damage to those attacks.
Guardians, that is huge. We’re taking something Lian is already constantly doing and turning it into an offensive opportunity for the entire battle. Charm is no longer simply about disrupting what the enemy wants to do — now attacking those Charmed targets can bring additional Pure Damage with it. And Pure Damage doesn’t care about Armor. It doesn’t care about Magic Defense. The control mechanic becomes part of the damage engine. This is exactly the type of Golden ability we are looking for. Level 10 already gives Lian excellent Early Power, and Level 30 is why she returns in God Tier.
Crow — The Silence Lockdown
Again, Level 10 already impressed us, because Silence across the battlefield can be incredibly disruptive. But Crow’s crown jewel arrives at Level 20: while an enemy is Silenced, they cannot apply debuffs or curses.
Just think about that interaction. Crow isn’t merely preventing certain active abilities — the Silence itself becomes a condition that shuts down another entire layer of enemy mechanics. Debuffs? Blocked. Curses? Blocked. And because Crow is already spreading Silence, these mechanics naturally feed into each other.
This is one of the reasons we believe Crow’s Relics are so well designed. Every stage feels like it is building toward the identity of the hero rather than simply throwing additional stats at him. For a low-budget Guardian, Level 10 is already excellent. Level 20 is absolutely monstrous. And if Crow is part of your main development, we have no problem continuing that investment and considering the complete package God Tier.
Cleaver — The Butcher’s New Life
Guardians, if you followed our Cleaver week, you already know how impressed we have been — but this Tier List really shows why. At Level 1, Cleaver is already receiving additional offensive value. At Level 10, he begins heavily reducing enemy healing, and that alone can completely change matchups against sustain-heavy teams. We tested this. We saw healing numbers collapse once Cleaver’s Relic mechanic became involved.
Then we reach Level 20, and this is where Chaos starts feeling like Chaos. When Cleaver or his allies use sacrifice abilities, the hero damaged through that sacrifice can have negative effects removed. Think about how often Chaos willingly damages itself. This faction is built around the idea of sacrifice — lose something, gain something. And Cleaver turns that identity into another advantage. The sacrifice is no longer simply a cost; it can become part of your cleansing engine.
Then at Level 30, Cleaver receives additional damage against enemies positioned in front of him. Is Level 30 necessary before Cleaver becomes amazing? No — and that is extremely important. If your budget is limited, Level 10 already gives you enormous value. If you can reach Level 20, that is the breakpoint where we believe his Relics become a genuine Game Changer. But if Cleaver is central to your Chaos teams and you have the resources, the complete package is absolutely worthy of further investment.
And perhaps more importantly, look at what these Relics have actually done to the hero. Cleaver spent a very long time struggling to find a meaningful position compared with the strongest options in the game. Now? Damage. Pure Damage. Healing reduction. Sacrifice synergy. Negative-effect removal. Frontline pressure. And all of this on a tank that was already capable of destroying enemy positioning with Rusty Hook. The Butcher didn’t simply receive better numbers — he received a new life. And that is why Cleaver closes our God Tier.
Relic Tier List Guide — Full Summary
Final Thoughts — Where the Value Actually Happens
So Guardians, that is our Relic Priority Tier List. If there is one thing we want you to take away from this Relic Tier List Guide, it is not simply which heroes are Green, Blue, Purple or Gold — it is understanding where the value actually happens.
For Oya, Jhu, Kai and Arachne, we simply don’t see enough transformation to make them a major Relic priority right now. With Dante, Cascade, Tristan and Kayla, you can take useful early value without feeling forced to chase the complete investment. Satori, Lian, Crow and Cleaver are different — they can give tremendous value to Guardians on a lower budget, but they also have enough waiting later in their Relic development to justify continuing if you have the resources.
Then Somna, Tempus, Folio, Alvanor and Dorian show exactly why we created Game Changer. Sometimes Purple is enough. Sometimes Level 20 is where the mechanic you really wanted finally arrives. And there is absolutely no reason to look at a Golden Relic and automatically assume that you need it simply because Gold is the final level.
Finally, God Tier: Byrna, Electra, Drayne, Iris, Maya, Yasmine, Miu, Kendle, Phobos, and our four returning heroes — Satori, Lian, Crow and Cleaver. These are the cases where we believe the complete Relic journey can provide enough impact to justify that enormous investment.
But Guardians, this Tier List is not written in stone. The META changes, new heroes arrive, new Relics arrive, and new interactions are discovered. As we mentioned at the beginning, we still have two factions with plenty of room to grow: Honor and Progress. Progress has started with Arachne, while Honor currently has two heroes with Relics. If our interpretation of the release pattern is correct, we could be approaching a very interesting period for both factions. And when those Relics arrive, this entire ranking can change.
So tell us in the comments: which hero do you believe has received the most transformative Relics in Hero Wars Alliance so far? Which one do you think we placed too high, and which one did we place too low? Most importantly, if Progress and Honor are next in line for more Relics, which heroes from those factions do you want to see receive them first?
We will continue testing every new Relic, every breakpoint and every interaction, because especially with a resource this expensive, we don’t want to tell you to invest based on a description. We want to see what actually happens on the battlefield.
Use your resources wisely, Guardians. Don’t chase Gold simply because it is Gold. Find the level that gives your hero what you actually need. And when a Relic truly changes everything… then you know where your resources belong. Stay tuned, stay sharp, and as always… Salute and friendship!
