Mead Festival Generators Explained
The Mead Festival brings five generators to Hero Wars Dominion Era, running from October 4 to October 8, 2026. Each generator switches on at 02:00 UTC on its own day and keeps producing until the event ends. The earlier a generator starts, the more cycles it gets.
What makes this event different is that the generators feed each other. Only one of them costs Emeralds: the Barrel Key generator. The other four all run on the Barrel Keys it produces, and from stage III they also ask for Asgard Mead. So your whole plan starts with one question: how many keys will you have?
Taking all four Barrel Key generators to stage V costs 60,000 Barrel Keys and 48 Asgard Mead. A maxed Barrel Key generator produces 81,500 keys over its full runtime, for 40,000 Emeralds. The planner above shows your exact balance for any combination of stages.

How Rewards and Costs Are Counted
Costs in this event are cumulative. The in-game number with the asterisk is the total you pay to reach a stage from OFF, not the price of that single step. That is why the tables below show both: the step cost for one upgrade and the total cost to get there.
Rewards include a catch-up bonus. When you upgrade to a stage, you also receive one cycle’s worth of every lower stage. So the total reward for a stage is:
For example, a stage V Chaos Particle generator gives 32 × 560 + 340 + 190 + 90 + 30 = 18,570 Chaos Particles. Every total in the tables assumes you upgrade before the generator’s first cycle and collect all of its cycles.

Barrel Key Generator
The only generator paid with Emeralds, and the source of the Barrel Keys every other generator runs on. It starts first and runs the longest, five full days.

The first Barrel Key generator to open, with 32 cycles over four days. It has the highest cycle count of the four key-funded generators.

Bottled Energy Generator
The slowest ticker in the event: one cycle every 12 hours, six cycles in total. With so few cycles, the catch-up bonus makes up a bigger share of its total reward at the higher stages than on any other generator: 210 of the 715 Bottled Energy at stage V.

- A full stage table you can open with “Show all stages”, where tapping a row selects that stage
The Barrel Key Balance panel at the top compares the keys your Barrel Key generator produces with the keys your other upgrades cost. Green means the plan pays for itself with keys to spare. Red shows how many keys you are short. It counts only the generator’s output, so keys from other event sources would add to it.

When does the Mead Festival start and end?
The first generator, Barrel Key, switches on October 4, 2026 at 02:00 UTC. All five generators stop on October 9, 2026 at 02:00 UTC.
Which generator costs Emeralds?
Only the Barrel Key generator. It costs 5,000 Emeralds for stage I and 40,000 Emeralds in total for stage V. The other four generators are paid with Barrel Keys and Asgard Mead.
How many Barrel Keys do I need to max everything?
Each of the four key-funded generators costs 15,000 Barrel Keys to reach stage V, so 60,000 keys for all four. They also need 12 Asgard Mead each, 48 in total.
Why does stage III cost zero extra Barrel Keys?
From stage III onward, the key cost stays at 15,000 and the extra cost moves to Asgard Mead: 3 for stage III, 4 more for stage IV and 5 more for stage V.
Are the totals different if I upgrade late?
Yes. The totals assume the generator is upgraded before its first cycle. Every cycle that passes at a lower stage produces at the lower rate, so a late upgrade ends with less than the table shows.
