Official Announcement: Major Update for the Area of Conquest

Here is the original post about Major Update for the Area of Conquest:
Hello, Guardians!
Today we’ve prepared an exciting announcement for you – the Area of Conquest mode, which has already become an essential part of the game, is getting an update later this week! The developers have carefully reviewed your feedback and, based on it, are ready to release a batch of improvements that will enhance gameplay and make participating in this mode even more engaging and convenient! Let’s take a look at the changes:
- Less intense (but more strategic)! – We’ve increased the action points cap to 20 and extended the recovery time to 12 minutes for each. So full recovery will take 4 hours. Now the event won’t require quite as much of your time and attention.
- Battle Log! – AoC is a team mode, so it’s important to see how each guild member contributes. A new battle log will now display the fights and Superior Coins invested into the castle!
- Updated Speed Booster! – Instead of speeding up the Action Points recovery time, the Speed Booster will now instantly restore 10 Action Points!
- Settlement Clash! – Winning battles over captured settlements now grants additional Superior Coins
- Reworked Quest Chain! – Quests have been redesigned to make progression smoother. Just a few examples: The quest “Win battles 60 times” has been changed to “Win 15 times,” and the reward has been increased. The quest for “opening Outland Chests” has been shortened, and the reward has also been increased!
- And last but not least – In the upcoming update, the Magic Penetration Pattern will be added to the ranking reward chest.
Updated Speed Booster

The Major Update for the Area of Conquest includes a reworked Speed Booster. Instead of speeding up the Action Points recovery time, the Speed Booster will now instantly restore 10 Action Points.
The developers mentioned that this update will make the Area of Conquest less intense, but in reality, it might turn out quite the opposite for high-spending guilds.
What This Means for Guilds

Before the Major Update for the Area of Conquest, the Speed Booster simply reduced the recovery time for Action Points. Even the most active players had to manage timing and coordinate attacks carefully. There was a natural rhythm — moments to push and moments to regroup.
Now, after the major update for the Area of Conquest, with the Speed Booster instantly restoring 10 Action Points, that rhythm disappears. Heavily investing players jump right back into the fight moments after being defeated. You clear them out, and they return immediately with another full set of actions, ready to attack again.
For top-level guild wars, this could create constant back-and-forth pressure. The result might be endless waves of battles where positioning and pacing matter less, and spending power dictates the tempo. Smaller or mid-tier guilds could find it harder to compete, facing burnout as the mode becomes even more demanding.
Ironically, what was meant to make the mode “less intense” might make clashes between strong guilds more heated than ever — pure chaos, but also pure competition. Still, every change opens room for new strategies. The guilds that adapt fastest to this new tempo will turn even chaos into advantage.
Conclusion on Major Update for the Area of Conquest
The new Speed Booster stands out as the real game-changer — one that could reshape how top guilds fight, coordinate, and dominate the battlefield. The battlefield is always evolving, but remember — strategy always wins over panic. Adapt fast, lead smart, and claim your victories.
