Kendle Relics Guide | Hero Wars Alliance

Kendle Relics Explained

Kendle Relics Explained — and if you have already seen what her skills look like, you already know this is not a simple upgrade situation. Kendle is a Chaos mage built entirely around sacrifice, pressure, and scaling aggression. Her relics do not add random stats on top of that identity. They deepen it. Every single one reinforces the same mechanics, the same philosophy, and the same dangerous cycle that makes her stand out from every other mage in the game right now.

Let us go through all four relics one by one and understand exactly what they bring to the battlefield.

Kendle Relics Explained Hero Wars Alliance

Kendle Relics Explained — Relic 1: Agony Surge

The first relic already tells you exactly what kind of hero Kendle is going to become. Agony Surge is built entirely around self-sacrifice, and its design is immediately aggressive.

Every ten seconds, Kendle damages herself. The result of that damage depends entirely on her current Health situation. If she is above 30% Health, she converts that pain directly into pure damage against a ranged enemy. If she falls below 30% Health, the mechanic flips — instead of taking more damage, she restores Health.

The key detail here is what kind of damage is being dealt. Pure damage ignores Armor completely. It ignores Magic Defense completely. It lands directly onto the target with no mitigation. That alone makes it threatening, but the fact that it activates every ten seconds — not tied to an ultimate, not tied to a cooldown window — means Kendle generates constant battlefield pressure throughout the entire fight as long as she stays alive.

The 30% Health threshold also makes the relic self-regulating. Kendle does not simply burn herself down. She creates a cycle — offensive when healthy, defensive when critical — and that makes her survivability management a genuine gameplay consideration. Too much healing might interfere with sacrifice mechanics. Too little and she collapses before building momentum. Finding the right balance around that threshold becomes a core part of getting the most out of her.

Agony Surge is not a bonus damage relic. It is the foundation of her entire identity.

Relic 2: Lava Kiss Upgrade

Lava Kiss was already one of Kendle’s most dangerous abilities before relics entered the picture. It targets the enemy with the lowest Health, applies magic damage, and then continuously deals pure damage while Kendle sacrifices her own Health to keep the pressure going. Even without relic upgrades, that skill creates enormous pressure against weakened targets.

The relic upgrade changes the feeling of the skill entirely by adding something before the attack sequence begins. Before activating Lava Kiss, Kendle now restores 30% of her Health and increases her Magical Critical Hit Chance.

That Health restoration solves one of her biggest design risks. Kendle is built around sacrifice — she spends Health constantly to generate pressure. Without external support, that cycle eventually runs out. The Lava Kiss relic stabilizes her before each major offensive sequence, which means she can sustain offensive momentum across much longer fights without collapsing.

The Magical Critical Hit Chance increase is where things start connecting more dangerously. On most mages, Magical Critical Hit Chance is a generic damage stat. On Kendle, it directly links to her pure damage mechanics — which means increasing it does far more than add bigger numbers. It sets up the interactions that make her third relic so significant.

The full sequence becomes: restore Health, gain increased critical potential, begin the sacrifice and pure damage cycle. Safer, more sustained, and building toward something much larger.

Relic 3: Purge by Pain — Critical Pure Damage

This is the relic that changes everything. Before the upgrade, Purge by Pain already introduced something remarkable — Kendle sacrifices her own Health on basic attacks to deal pure damage, and that pure damage has the possibility of critically hitting based on her Magical Critical Hit Chance.

Critical pure damage. Damage that bypasses all defenses and can land for double on a crit. That alone is an unusual and dangerous mechanic.

The relic upgrade expands that mechanic beyond Kendle herself. Now allied pure damage can also critically hit.

That transforms Kendle from a dangerous solo threat into an enabler for an entirely different category of team compositions. Any allied hero dealing pure damage now benefits from this mechanic. Heroes with pure damage interactions, Chaos faction abilities, sacrifice mechanics — they all become more valuable beside Kendle once this relic is in place. Future hero releases that deal pure damage also immediately become more interesting in that context.

This is not simply more damage. It is a new offensive layer added to the game that has the potential to reshape how certain compositions are built going forward. Pure damage teams were always limited by the fact that the damage was consistent but not explosive. Critical hits change that ceiling completely.

Relic 4: Reaping Hour — Chaos Amplifier

The final relic is the perfect closing piece for everything the previous three built toward. Reaping Hour activates for three seconds and increases Kendle’s pure damage every time allies take damage from their own skills or from allied skills.

In most team compositions, that mechanic would have limited application. Inside Chaos lineups, it becomes something completely different. Chaos teams already operate around Health manipulation and sacrifice. Aidan sacrifices Health. Xe’Sha manipulates Health. Kendle sacrifices herself. Friendly Fire damages allies intentionally. Sacrifice mechanics trigger constantly across the battlefield.

Every one of those interactions now feeds directly into Kendle’s pure damage. The more controlled suffering exists inside the team, the stronger she becomes. The cycle never stops — sacrifice creates pressure, pressure generates more sacrifice interactions, and Kendle’s output keeps climbing as long as the fight continues.

Reaping Hour does not add stats to Kendle. It turns her into an amplifier for the entire Chaos faction philosophy.

Kendle Relics Explained — Full Relic Summary

Here is a quick reference for all four relics and what they each bring to the kit:

Relic Name Core Mechanic
Relic 1 Agony Surge Every 10 seconds: pure damage to ranged enemy (above 30% HP) or Health restore (below 30% HP)
Relic 2 Lava Kiss Upgrade Before Lava Kiss activates: restores 30% Health and increases Magical Critical Hit Chance
Relic 3 Purge by Pain Upgrade Allied pure damage can now critically hit — extends critical pure damage beyond Kendle herself
Relic 4 Reaping Hour For 3 seconds: pure damage increases each time allies take damage from their own or allied skills

Why Kendle Relics Are Different

What stands out across all four Kendle relics is how deliberately they connect to each other. Nothing is random. Agony Surge keeps pressure active throughout the entire fight on a 10-second loop. Lava Kiss stabilizes her Health before major offensive sequences while increasing her critical potential. Purge by Pain opens the door for allied critical pure damage interactions. Reaping Hour turns every sacrifice inside the team into additional offensive power for Kendle.

Every relic reinforces the same identity: sacrifice, scaling pressure, Magical Critical Hit Chance, pure damage, and Chaos faction amplification. It is one of the most cohesive relic sets released for a mage in Hero Wars Alliance, and the impact of the third relic in particular — allied critical pure damage — could influence how teams are built for a long time depending on how far developers allow that interaction to go.

There is still a lot of testing to be done. Which heroes pair best with the critical pure damage mechanic, how Chaos compositions feel with a fully-reliced Kendle at the center, and whether certain interactions become overwhelming as more content releases — all of that is still being discovered. But the direction is already clear. Kendle is not just a new mage. She is a new offensive structure for the Chaos faction and for pure damage compositions that previously had no real explosive ceiling.

Next up we go deeper — best teams, strongest synergies, optimized builds, and everything around critical pure damage compositions. Stay tuned, stay sharp, and as always — salute and friendship.
