Ultimate Nebula Teams

Nebula has changed, and after plenty of time spent testing her rework, her Relics, and a long list of compositions, one thing became obvious: the ultimate Nebula teams don’t come from a single “copy these five heroes” list. She’s a support hero, and that’s exactly what makes her so interesting — she doesn’t belong to one composition, and she certainly isn’t limited to three of them.

In reality, Nebula fits into an enormous number of teams depending on what you’re fighting, what your account can field, and — above all — what the other four heroes around her actually need. So instead of dropping three teams and telling you to copy them, this guide walks through three high-performance compositions we’ve been testing, explains the synergy behind each one, and uses them to show how you can start thinking about Nebula when building your own.

With a support hero like Nebula, understanding why she’s there is far more valuable than simply memorizing the names beside her.

Why There’s No Single “Best” Nebula Team

Here’s the mindset shift that matters most. When you look at Nebula after a battle, don’t immediately ask how much damage she dealt — sometimes that completely misses the point. If she’s making your dangerous heroes more effective, keeping the team’s momentum alive, cleansing important effects, and adding protection when the enemy tries to disrupt you, then she’s already doing exactly the job you brought her in for.

Since her recent changes, that’s even more true against teams leaning heavily on Damage over Time and control. Those defensive windows can be decisive, because a strong Nebula composition doesn’t need her to personally kill anyone — it needs the rest of the machine to stay alive and functioning long enough to finish the job. That’s a completely different way of measuring her value, and it’s the thread running through all three teams below.

At a glance, here are the compositions we’ll break down:

Team Heroes (with Nebula) Playstyle & Best Use
Team 1 Electra von Grave, Tempus, Iris, Phobos Control & disruption — thrives against DoT and control-heavy defenses
Team 2 Yasmine, Dante, Eva, Octavia Dodge-based aggression with heavy Eva burst
Team 3 Julius, Cascade, Polaris, Eva Defensive foundation + control, with Eva waiting behind it

Team 1 — Control & Disruption

Our first example stacks Electra von Grave, Tempus, Nebula, Iris, and Phobos. At first glance there’s a lot happening: pressure, control, disruption, and some genuinely dangerous damage potential. Crucially, though, Nebula isn’t being asked to become the main damage dealer — that isn’t her job here.

Electra gives the front-line presence that creates space for everything behind her to work, while Tempus piles on pressure and interferes with the enemy’s normal rhythm. Iris then adds a serious offensive threat; if the opponent lets her operate freely, the battle turns uncomfortable very quickly. Phobos layers on even more control and disruption, and suddenly you can see the environment we’ve built around Nebula.

Electra holds the front, Tempus disturbs the enemy, Iris applies pressure, and Phobos interferes with the opposing team — while Nebula sits inside that whole structure, supporting the machine. This is exactly why her value shouldn’t be judged by a damage number. Because the composition relies on control and survival rather than one big nuke, those cleanse-and-protect windows against DoT and control teams are often what actually win the fight.

Team 2 — Dodge Aggression

Now we flip to something far more aggressive: Yasmine, Dante, Eva, Octavia, and Nebula. This team wants pressure, and lots of it.

Yasmine opens with an aggressive front-line presence and immediately threatens the enemy, and she gets much scarier once Octavia joins, because Dodge becomes a core part of how the team survives and strikes back. Adding Dante connects even more pieces — he brings his own damage, fits naturally into the Dodge structure, and reduces the enemy’s main stats. That last part matters, since we’re not only buffing our own side; we’re weakening theirs at the same time.

Then Eva steps in. After everything we’ve recently seen from her kit and Relics, you already know why that’s dangerous — Impossible Shot generates tremendous pressure through its Max-Health-based Physical Damage, and Eva can become a genuinely brutal offensive weapon when the team gives her room to work. So the picture becomes clear: Yasmine applies immediate pressure, Dante brings damage plus Dodge synergy and stat reduction, Octavia turns that Dodge into both protection and offense, and Eva waits to unleash enormous burst. Nebula, meanwhile, supports all of them.

She doesn’t need to replace a damage dealer and become the star. Instead, she helps the stars already there shine brighter — feeding the offensive rhythm, helping with Energy, cleansing, and adding protection that makes an already aggressive team much harder to shut down.

Team 3 — Defensive Control

For our third structure, forget rankings entirely — this isn’t “third best,” just a different high-performance shape: Julius, Nebula, Cascade, Polaris, and Eva.

Julius gives the composition a more traditional defensive foundation, providing the front-line security that lets everyone behind him set up the battle. Behind that protection, things get nasty fast. Cascade brings damage and disruption that unsettles the enemy formation, while Polaris adds another significant control element. As a result, you’re not just hiding behind Julius hoping to survive — you’re actively interfering with what the opponent wants to do, buying time and making that time increasingly painful for them.

And once again, Eva is waiting behind it all. That means the enemy isn’t only dealing with control and disruption; there’s a serious damage threat lurking too, and Eva doesn’t need many openings if the ones she gets are good. Nebula sits inside this structure as well — but notice how different her surroundings are compared with the first two teams.

Three teams, three completely different battle environments. The first surrounded Nebula with Electra, Tempus, Iris, and Phobos; the second with Yasmine, Dante, Eva, and Octavia; the third with Julius, Cascade, Polaris, and Eva. The common thread isn’t that Nebula magically turns any four heroes into a great team — it’s that we understood what she provides and placed those tools into teams that could actually use them.

How to Build Your Own Ultimate Nebula Teams

This is why we’d rather you leave understanding Nebula than memorizing “the three Nebula teams.” Maybe you don’t have Electra built, your Iris isn’t ready, or Yasmine and Dante are sitting untouched. Perhaps Julius was never in your plans. That’s completely fine — the goal was never to tell you that your roster needs these exact fifteen slots.

Instead, the point is to show what happens when Nebula drops into different systems and the heroes around her can exploit what she offers. Once you see that, you start reading your own roster differently. Look at the heroes around her, at who benefits from what she provides, at where your damage actually comes from, and at what the enemy is doing to stop it. Then ask whether Nebula solves that problem.

From there, the right questions start to surface. Perhaps you have a damage dealer who’s already lethal but keeps getting interrupted before doing its job. Or your composition has plenty of damage yet folds against control. Maybe Damage over Time is quietly dismantling a team that otherwise performs brilliantly, or you simply need extra offensive support to turn a good hero into a real threat. Each of those problems is a signal pointing straight at Nebula — and that flexibility is why we find her recent development more exciting than any single “meta team.”

A flexible support can hold more long-term value than a hero who dominates one narrow composition, because every new hero, Relic, and meta shift hands that support another environment where she can matter.

Keep Testing — Brawls and Experimentation

We’re still experimenting, and that matters. Hero Wars isn’t a game where you run five battles, catch one win, and declare the meta solved. Different defenses require different answers, power levels shift interactions, and investment levels change results — so we keep testing these teams against varied situations to find where the synergy holds and where it breaks.

That’s where Brawls and other low-stakes chances to experiment become so valuable, because they let you move past theory. You can watch interactions play out live, compare structures, spot weaknesses, and occasionally stumble onto a combination you’d never have considered. So try these three teams if you have the heroes, but don’t stop there. Swap out one hero, then another. Notice what disappears when Nebula leaves the team, and what improves the moment she steps back in. Test her against different damage types, against control-heavy defenses, and alongside different offensive heroes — that’s where this genuinely gets fun.

Over to You, Guardians

The best outcome here isn’t thousands of Guardians copying the same five heroes. It’s thousands of you understanding why those heroes work together, then discovering something new of your own. Nebula gives us that freedom — she’s a support, and support heroes live through synergy. These are three high-performance teams worth sharing, but plenty more combinations are still waiting to be tested.

Now we want to hear yours. Which Nebula composition has surprised you the most, and which hero have you paired with her that you didn’t expect to work? Drop your teams in our community — we’ll keep testing too, and if we find something special, you already know we’ll bring it back to everyone. Until then, don’t just copy teams: understand them, experiment with them, and enjoy the enormous arsenal of heroes we’ve got to play with. Stay sharp, Guardians — salute and friendship.
