Eva Relics Testing

Our Eva Relics Testing set out to answer one simple but important question: how far should you actually level Eva’s Legendary Relics before the returns stop justifying the resources? Instead of reading tooltips and guessing at the numbers, we pushed her Relics from Legendary Level 1 all the way to Level 30 and watched exactly what changed at every milestone.

More specifically, we wanted to pin down two things. First, at what level do Eva’s Relics genuinely start changing her performance? And second, if your resources are limited, where should you sensibly stop? To keep the results honest, we didn’t rely on a single convenient opponent — we ran her through several very different defenses and tracked the difference each level actually made.

How We Set Up Our Eva Relics Testing

For our attacking team, we ran Electra von Grave, Nebula, Cascade, Dorian and Eva. Electra holds the frontline and pulls enemy attention toward her, while Nebula supports and amplifies both Electra and Cascade. Cascade then provides disruption and extra damage, Dorian keeps the team alive with healing and sustain, and Eva sits at the back with the freedom to aim and fire.

One important disclaimer before we go further: we are not claiming this is Eva’s best team. It is a solid lineup, but that is beside the point today. We deliberately wanted stable conditions where Eva could perform consistently, so every change we observed could be traced directly back to her Relic level rather than to team randomness.

The three defenses we tested against

Rather than test against one easy target, we chose three defenses that stress Eva in completely different ways:

  • Control & Damage over Time: Electra, Tempus, Iris, Phobos and Miu — control from Tempus and Phobos, DoT pressure from Tempus and Iris, Electra’s frontline, plus Miu adding Magic Damage support and Blind.
  • Dodge & Critical Damage: Yasmine, Dante, Guus, Sebastian and Octavia — a strong Dodge structure, critical damage from Yasmine and Dante, sustain from Guus, and Octavia amplifying the Dodge environment while feeding the team’s Energy dynamics.
  • High Health & Sustain: Astaroth, Kayla, Aidan, Kendle and Lian — a huge Health pool with resurrection from Astaroth, pressure and sustain from Kayla and Aidan, enormous Pure Damage from Kendle, and additional Pure Damage plus control from Lian.

In other words, we handed Eva control, DoT, Dodge, critical damage, Pure Damage, sustain and high-Health targets all at once. What happened as we climbed the Relic ladder turned out to be genuinely interesting.

Legendary Level 1 — Antivirus

At Legendary Level 1, every eight seconds Eva removes control effects and then blocks new control for five seconds. Our verdict? It is good, yet it does not transform her. Against the control defense, the benefit showed up immediately, because Eva gained extra windows to aim, fire and keep dealing damage instead of having her rhythm constantly interrupted — and that can speed up the whole team.

Against the Dodge composition, however, the overall timing barely shifted. So Level 1 clearly improves Eva and directly patches one of her weaknesses, but investing purely to reach Level 1 and expecting a completely different hero would be a mistake. As you will see next, this Relic actually becomes far more valuable once Level 10 enters the picture.

Legendary Level 10 — Impossible Shot (the first real spike)

This is where our Eva Relics Testing hit its first major transformation. At Legendary Level 10, the additional Physical Damage on Impossible Shot — scaled from the target’s Maximum Health — jumps from 25% to 50%, and the difference was impossible to miss. Suddenly Eva’s ultimate started producing absolutely enormous damage across all three defenses.

Crucially, this is also the moment the Level 1 Relic starts making real sense. Level 1 gives Eva more freedom from control, whereas Level 10 gives her a much bigger reason to want that freedom in the first place. Because once she gets a clean window to aim and land Impossible Shot, the potential punishment is now dramatically higher.

That leads to our first key recommendation: if your Relic resources are limited, Level 10 is the stopping point. For us, this is where the investment finally delivers a genuinely significant change. Level 1 on its own is useful, yet it simply is not enough to justify expecting a major leap. Level 10, on the other hand, gives you a noticeably different Eva.

Eva Relics Testing results comparing Impossible Shot damage across Legendary Level 1, 10, 20 and 30

Legendary Level 20 — Piercing Shot Energy

If you can afford to keep going, things get much more interesting at Level 20, where Piercing Shot now restores 30 Energy for every enemy hit. Against a full row of five enemies, that is potentially 150 Energy from a single activation — and in testing, this Energy cycle was extremely noticeable. As a result, Eva reaches Impossible Shot faster and fires it far more often.

Here is where the design really clicked for us. These are not four independent upgrades stacked on top of each other; instead, they feed one another. Level 1 helps Eva operate, Level 10 makes Impossible Shot terrifying, and Level 20 helps her reach that terrifying attack more frequently. So while Level 10 remains our recommended stopping point on a tight budget, Level 20 becomes seriously attractive if you can push further, because you are no longer just carrying that upgraded ultimate — you are firing it again and again.

Legendary Level 30 — Explosive Payload (the complete Eva)

At Legendary Level 30, Eva becomes something else entirely. Explosive Payload adds extra Physical Damage equal to 10% of the target’s Maximum Health whenever she deals qualifying damage, excluding Damage over Time and shared damage. There is one important thing we noticed in testing, though, that could easily be misread.

At lower Relic levels, it is tempting to watch Eva and focus almost entirely on Impossible Shot — you wait for the ultimate, she aims, she fires, and a giant hit lands. By Level 30, however, that ultimate stops being the whole story. Focusing Scope attacks the furthest enemy, Piercing Shot hits the enemies in front of her, and Explosive Payload now layers Max-Health pressure onto her qualifying damage. Consequently, Eva is already hurting the enemy team badly before she ever reaches another Impossible Shot.

This creates something that is easy to misunderstand if you only track her ultimate’s damage. Sometimes Impossible Shot can actually look less spectacular at Level 30 than it did at Level 10 — not because Eva got weaker, but for the opposite reason. By the time the shot arrives, those enemies may already be sitting on far less Health, since Eva has been hammering them the entire fight. In short, the Level 30 version no longer needs one giant moment to be dangerous; she generates pressure across her whole cycle.

Now remember what Level 20 is doing at the same time. Piercing Shot keeps feeding Eva Energy, that Energy accelerates the loop, and every attack triggers Explosive Payload’s Max-Health pressure while hitting multiple enemies. Impossible Shot then comes around again, and the whole engine keeps turning. That is where the complete Relic kit becomes genuinely brutal.

Eva Relics Testing Verdict: Where Should You Stop?

Our biggest conclusion after all of this is that Eva’s Relics are exceptionally well connected. Every time we raised the level, it never felt like we were bolting on another random bonus; instead, we were increasing the value of everything already unlocked. Antivirus alone is merely useful, yet Antivirus protecting a Level 10 Impossible Shot is far more valuable. Likewise, that Level 10 damage becomes much scarier once Level 20 Energy generation keeps it firing, and Level 30’s Max-Health pressure then ties the entire system together.

Relic Level What It Does Our Verdict
Level 1 — Antivirus Cleanses control and blocks new control for 5s every 8s. Useful, not transformative. Don’t stop here expecting a new hero.
Level 10 — Impossible Shot Max-Health scaling on the ultimate rises from 25% to 50%. The first real spike. Minimum target if you’re serious — and the budget stopping point.
Level 20 — Piercing Shot Restores 30 Energy per enemy hit (up to ~150 vs five). Very meaningful. Fires the upgraded ultimate far more often.
Level 30 — Explosive Payload Adds 10% of target Max Health to qualifying damage. The complete Eva. Constant pressure across her whole cycle.

So the recommendation is straightforward. If you are extremely limited on Relics and can only reach Level 1, do not expect a suddenly reborn hero. If you are investing seriously, Level 10 is the minimum we would personally target, since that is where the first major jump lands and where the Level 1 protection finally starts earning its place. If you can reach Level 20, the Energy generation makes the whole package noticeably stronger, and if you can go all the way to Level 30, that is where the complete design truly comes together.

Ultimately, this Eva Relics Testing left us convinced it is one of the better-designed complete Legendary Relic progressions we have run through. Not because every individual level reinvents Eva — it doesn’t — but because each stage progressively unlocks more value from the others: protection, massive Max-Health damage, Energy, and then constant Max-Health pressure, all wired into a single kit. Next, we want to strip away the testing structure entirely and simply let a fully built Eva fight across different teams and situations, because after everything we have seen, there is a lot more of her we want to put under the microscope.
