Mushy Relics Explained | Hero Wars Alliance
If you want Mushy relics explained without the guesswork, this is the place to start. Halloween has arrived in Hero Wars Alliance, and apparently nobody told Mushy and Shroom they were supposed to collect candy instead of terrorizing the battlefield. Across four Legendary Relic levels, the duo gets a brand-new damage ability, stronger Shrooms, extra Magic Penetration, and a final relic that could make enemy healers regret showing up. More importantly, these upgrades don’t just stand on their own, because they feed into each other in some remarkable ways.
Mushy Relics Explained: The Four Legendary Upgrades at a Glance
Before we dig into each level, here’s a quick overview of what the full set does.
On paper, that already looks strong. However, the real story is in the details, so let’s go level by level.
Legendary Relic Level 1: Voracious Spores
The set opens with a completely new ability, and it’s already an interesting start. Five seconds after the battle begins, Mushy deals magic damage to the enemy with the highest Maximum Health. After that, the ability fires again every twelve seconds.
Damage, though, is only half the story. Voracious Spores also steals Maximum Health from its target, equal to 50% of the damage dealt. For example, if the ability deals 200,000 damage, the corresponding Maximum Health steal would be 100,000.
This isn’t regular damage, and it isn’t restoring missing Health either. Instead, it directly interacts with the enemy’s Maximum Health, which makes it particularly interesting against heroes with enormous Health pools. In addition, the damage scales with Mushy’s Magic Attack, so the numbers depend on how far you’ve developed her.
So, does this automatically turn Mushy into a tank destroyer? Not necessarily. We still need proper battle testing to see how much impact the effect has against different opponents. Even so, as the first step of a new Legendary Relic system, it’s extremely promising.
Legendary Relic Level 10: Perfect Copy Gets Voracious Spores
To see why this upgrade matters, it helps to remember how Perfect Copy works. Mushy summons inactive Shrooms with part of their Health missing. These Shrooms have their own stats, and they can receive attacks, offensive spells, and healing.
Once an inactive Shroom is fully healed for the first time, it becomes active. From then on, it can attack and use the hero’s learned skills, although it can’t replenish Energy. On top of that, Mushy can summon up to five Shrooms.
Here’s the Legendary upgrade: once a Shroom becomes active, it also receives the relic and starts using Voracious Spores after five seconds. In other words, the Level 1 ability is no longer exclusive to Mushy herself, because her active Shrooms can use it too.
Now picture several active Shrooms on the battlefield at once. Rather than relying on a single source of Voracious Spores, you’re adding more users of the same ability. Each one adds pressure on the enemy, and each one brings its own Maximum Health steal.
That said, there’s an important condition. The Shrooms have to actually become active and survive long enough to use the ability, so we shouldn’t assume five Shrooms will always be attacking at the same time. Still, the potential is there, and it makes the whole summoning mechanic far more interesting. At this point, Mushy isn’t bringing a few mushrooms to Halloween. She’s inviting the entire forest!
Legendary Relic Level 20: Wild Growth Adds Magic Penetration
Peek-a-boo! Wild Growth just received its Legendary upgrade, and this one is remarkable. Normally, it’s a passive ability that heals inactive Shrooms and Spore Mushrooms. Its healing scales with Health and Magic Attack, and the effect stacks according to the number of active Shrooms on the battlefield. As a result, it already helps Mushy build and maintain her mushroom army.
The relic, however, adds something completely different. Whenever Mushy or an active Shroom receives healing, they gain additional Magic Penetration for four seconds. Crucially, that effect stacks for every active Shroom on the battlefield. In the in-game example, the bonus comes to 9,559 Magic Penetration, with the value depending on Magic Attack.
This is a serious offensive upgrade. Magic Penetration helps magic attacks overcome the enemy’s Magic Defense, which makes it extremely valuable against heavily protected opponents. Now Mushy and her active Shrooms have another way to raise it, simply by being healed.
Look at the bigger picture, too. Voracious Spores arrives at Level 1, active Shrooms get it at Level 10, and healing turns into Magic Penetration at Level 20. Therefore, summoning Shrooms, keeping them alive, and healing them all start feeding Mushy’s offensive potential. More active Shrooms can mean a stronger Wild Growth bonus, while those same Shrooms may also be using Voracious Spores.
That’s exactly why this upgrade stands out: rather than adding a random effect, it reinforces mechanics Mushy and Shroom already use. However, the bonus only lasts four seconds, so we still need to see how consistently it can be maintained in real battles.
Legendary Relic Level 30: Mycelial Echo
If Level 20 got you excited, the final relic might be the biggest Halloween surprise of them all. It introduces a brand-new ability called Mycelial Echo, and honestly, this is where things get crazy.
Whenever an enemy receives healing, Mushy and every single Shroom restore Health equal to 50% of the amount healed. And yes, every Shroom really means every Shroom, even the inactive ones!
For example, imagine an enemy hero receives 200,000 healing. In that case, Mushy restores 100,000 Health, and each Shroom also restores 100,000 Health, up to its own Health limit. So the enemy brings a healer to keep their team alive, yet every time that healer restores Health, Mushy and her mushroom army benefit too.
Why Mycelial Echo Ties the Whole Set Together
Remember that inactive Shrooms need to recover their missing Health before they become active. Since Mycelial Echo heals inactive Shrooms whenever the enemy is healed, enemy healing may actually help them reach the Health required to activate. Once those Shrooms are active, the Level 10 upgrade hands them Voracious Spores.
Moreover, the Level 20 bonus activates whenever Mushy or an active Shroom receives healing, and Mycelial Echo provides exactly that kind of healing. Consequently, this relic could be especially valuable against teams that rely heavily on healing.
What Mycelial Echo Doesn’t Do
There are two limits worth getting right. First, Mycelial Echo doesn’t trigger if the enemy’s healing was itself triggered by a similar effect, so this isn’t an endless healing chain. Second, the relic doesn’t steal or cancel enemy healing. Instead, the enemy still receives their heal, while Mushy and her Shrooms simply gain their own healing in response.
How the Four Mushy Relics Work Together
Now that we’ve had all four Mushy relics explained piece by piece, the real strength of the set shows up in how they connect. Here’s the chain at its best:
- Enemy healing restores Mushy’s Health through Mycelial Echo.
- That same healing can help inactive Shrooms reach full Health and activate.
- Healing on Mushy and active Shrooms triggers the Wild Growth Magic Penetration bonus.
- Newly active Shrooms then add their own Voracious Spores attacks.
In short, the first two relics strengthen offensive pressure, while the third adds Magic Penetration through healing. Meanwhile, the fourth creates a new source of healing that supports both Shroom activation and the Level 20 bonus. That’s a much more interesting design than four unrelated upgrades.
Are Mushy and Shroom Unbeatable Now?
Absolutely not. Several questions still need answers from actual battle testing:
- How reliably can the Shrooms become active?
- Can they survive long enough against high-damage teams?
- What will Voracious Spores add in total damage over an entire battle?
- And how effective will Mycelial Echo be against teams with different amounts of healing?
Ultimately, those details will decide how powerful this relic set really is in practice.
Our Verdict on the Mushy and Shroom Legendary Relics
Based on the descriptions alone, we’re genuinely impressed. This set brings offensive potential, additional Magic Penetration, stronger interactions with summoned Shrooms, and a particularly clever response to enemy healing. For us, Level 30 is the most fascinating of the four, not simply because of the healing itself, but because of how that healing interacts with every other upgrade. After all, it’s the kind of mechanic that could create some very surprising battles, especially against opponents that depend on constant healing.
So, which relic impresses you most? Is it Voracious Spores and its Maximum Health steal, the Shrooms getting Voracious Spores, the extra Magic Penetration from Wild Growth, or Mycelial Echo turning enemy healing into fuel for the whole mushroom family? Let us know on the Olympus Alliance YouTube channel or in our Discord. Because this Halloween, the scariest thing in the forest might not be a ghost, a vampire, or a witch. It might just be a little mushroom with a very big appetite!
