Mushy Best Build Guide | Hero Wars Alliance
This Mushy Best Build Guide covers everything you need to turn Mushy and Shroom into a proper fungal menace in Hero Wars Alliance. Halloween has arrived, and with it one of the Dominion’s strangest creatures. Don’t let those cute mushrooms fool you, though, because this hero can turn a single tank into an entire army.
Below, we break down all four skills, then move through skins, glyphs, artifacts, Gift of the Elements, talismans, and the heroes that counter Mushy best. Best teams and Legendary Relic testing get their own dedicated coverage, so this post stays focused on the build itself.
Mushy and Shroom Skills Explained
Before building anything, it helps to understand how the mushroom army actually works. Every one of Mushy’s skills feeds into the others, and healing sits at the centre of the whole kit.
Skill 1: Perfect Copy
Mushy summons an inactive Shroom with missing Health. The copy inherits the hero’s stats from the start of battle, and it can receive attacks, offensive spells, and healing. Once it’s fully healed for the first time, the Shroom becomes active, attacking and using Mushy’s learned skills. However, it can’t regenerate Energy.
Mushy can summon up to five Shrooms, and this skill scales with Health. Here’s the scary part: activated copies keep fighting even if the original Mushy dies. On top of that, healing support from Byrna, Alvanor, or Mojo gets those little mushrooms active much faster. One mushroom becomes five, and suddenly it’s not a forest anymore, it’s a Halloween invasion.
Skill 2: Branching Mycelium
This skill summons three inactive Spore Mushrooms, each with Maximum Health equal to 30% of Mushy’s starting Health. After they’re fully healed, they rush toward enemies and explode. Each explosion deals damage and releases a spore cloud that silences nearby opponents for four seconds.
The mushrooms also prioritise nearby enemies who aren’t already affected by spores, so the silence spreads across the enemy team instead of stacking on one target. Branching Mycelium scales with Health and Magic Attack, and once again Byrna, Alvanor, and Mojo speed things up through healing. Picture a crowd of mushrooms sprinting at your team, exploding, and silencing everyone in reach.
Skill 3: Rotting Seeds
Rotting Seeds damages the nearest enemy, but what makes it dangerous is the scaling. Its damage grows with the healing received by allies since its previous activation. In other words, healing doesn’t just keep Mushy’s team alive. It also loads up the next attack.
Because the skill scales with Health and Magic Attack, both stats matter here. As a result, longer battles with steady healing make Rotting Seeds especially threatening. Aidan is an interesting partner for this, since he helps support those healing interactions. Facing a monster that gets stronger every time its allies recover Health is a proper Halloween nightmare.
Skill 4: Wild Growth
Wild Growth is a passive that lets inactive Shrooms and Spore Mushrooms recover Health automatically. The effect stacks for every active Shroom on the battlefield, and it scales with Health and Magic Attack.
This creates a neat cycle. Active Shrooms boost the healing that helps the other mushrooms activate, which then adds even more active Shrooms. With extra support from Byrna, Alvanor, or Mojo, the army grows faster still.
Now that the skills are clear, it’s time to build this fungal monster properly. Mushy and Shroom are an Intelligence-based Tank from the Way of Nature faction, positioned on the front line. That means the build has to balance raw survivability with enough magical power to make the summons hit hard.
Best Skins for Mushy
Mushy currently has eight skins. Since Mushy needs to survive long enough to build an army, Health comes first.
In short, Health skins carry the most value because every one of Mushy’s skills draws on that stat. Magic Attack follows closely, while the defensive skins round things out later.
Mushy Glyph Priority
For glyphs, the recommended order puts Health first and keeps the focus on staying alive.
During early and mid-game development, bring the glyphs to Level 40 before investing further. The exception is if you’re specifically pushing Skill Class progression.
Mushy Artifacts and Gift of the Elements
Mushy’s weapon artifact grants a teamwide Armor bonus when the first skill activates. Meanwhile, the book provides Magic Attack and Health, and the ring increases Intelligence.
Gift of the Elements is simple: max it out. Mushy is a front-line Tank, yet also an Intelligence-based hero who benefits from both survivability and magical stats. Consequently, every useful upgrade helps keep this mushroom monster alive and dangerous.
Best Talismans in the Mushy Best Build Guide
Mushy and Shroom have two excellent talisman options, and each offers a different angle.
The first talisman combines magical development with physical durability, and it’s the easier one to get. The second trades that for offensive potential plus resistance to critical damage. Both are interesting, so weigh your resources and development priorities before you invest.
How to Counter Mushy and Shroom
So how do you stop a mushroom invasion? Four heroes stand out.
Folio: His ultimate can put devastating pressure on Mushy and the whole mushroom army, which makes him a very interesting counter.
Phobos: He targets the enemy with the highest Magic Attack, dealing heavy damage while reducing Physical Attack, Magic Attack, and Magic Defense, and interfering with Energy. Against a magic-oriented hero like Mushy, that’s extremely troublesome, provided Mushy is the one he selects.
Soleil: Remember those exploding Spore Mushrooms and their four-second silence? Soleil’s Halo can reflect that silence straight back at Mushy. Sending your mushrooms to silence the enemy, only to get silenced yourself, is pure Halloween karma.
Rufus: His shield converts magical damage into healing, so magic-damage heroes struggle to break him. Furthermore, under his survival mechanic, physical damage is required to finish him off while the relevant conditions stay active. That makes Rufus another solid defensive option against Mushy.
Of course, no counter guarantees a win. Team composition, development, and battle conditions always matter.
Final Verdict on Mushy and Shroom
Mushy and Shroom are much more than a traditional Tank. Instead, they blend summoning, healing, magic damage, and silence into a fascinating battlefield strategy. Perfect Copy creates the army, while Branching Mycelium spreads damage and control. Meanwhile, Rotting Seeds turns healing into offensive power, and Wild Growth keeps the mushroom army growing.
Follow this Mushy Best Build Guide with Health as your anchor stat, and the rest of the kit falls into place. Still, there’s more to test. New Legendary Relics, team combinations, and Mushy’s potential against the Hydra are all coming up next. Could these Relics turn Mushy into a serious Hydra contender? We’ll let the actual battles answer that.
Are you running Mushy and Shroom, and which hero gives you the most trouble when facing them? After all, this Halloween the scariest monster in the forest might just be a mushroom.
