What Are the Birthday Event Mini Games?
Each day of the Birthday event hides a blue gift box somewhere in the game world. Finding it triggers a birthday-themed jigsaw puzzle. Complete the puzzle, and you claim that day’s reward immediately.
Daily reward per completed puzzle:
- 1 Secret Treasure Chest
- 1500 Valor Coins
That is strong value for a task that takes less than ten minutes once you know where to look. Over the full seven days, players who complete every puzzle walk away with 7 Secret Treasure Chests and 10500 Valor Coins — rewards that can make a meaningful difference in your event progression.
Day 1 — Chapter 6, Chaos Realm
Easter Egg location: Campaign Chapter 6, Chaos Realm. Look at the bottom right side of the screen near Heidi. You will see a blue gift box sitting there. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: A birthday celebration scene set outdoors — balloons, a long table, and cakes spread across the image. The scene has enough detail that it is easy to misread where pieces belong. Work from the edges inward, use the balloons and table as anchor points, and do not rush. Most players need several minutes to complete it.
Reward: Secret Treasure Chest + 1500 Valor Coins
Day 2 — Chapter 2, DIstorted Magic
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 2. Look for a small yellow-orange candy wrapper with a red-and-white peppermint candy placed on top of it. It is small and easy to miss — scan the screen carefully until you spot it. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: The scene is a warm rustic party hall bathed in golden light. Colorful balloons in purple, orange, yellow and teal are clustered together near the ceiling. Rainbow triangle bunting flags are strung across the wooden beam ceiling alongside a chandelier lantern. Long tables with white tablecloths are covered in colorful gift boxes, and a bar area with a cake tower sits in the back right corner. Glowing warm windows line the left wall.
The unplaced pieces appear grey while completed sections show the full color image — which actually works in your favor. Start with the balloon clusters since they are the most vivid and distinctive elements in the entire scene. The bunting flags and wooden ceiling beams give you strong structural lines to build around next. Work outward from those anchor points toward the tables and the background bar area and you will clear it efficiently.

Day 3 — Chapter 3, Hardan’s Plateau
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 3. Look near Keira for a blue gift box with a red ribbon and orange bow on top. It stands out more than the previous two days — but knowing exactly where to look near Keira saves you time scanning the whole screen. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: The scene is an enormous grand ballroom completely taken over by balloons. Hundreds of balloons in every color — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple — fill the entire room from floor to ceiling. A massive layered birthday cake sits on a red-draped table in the center of the room, topped by a towering cluster of balloons reaching up toward a large circular skylight in the domed ceiling. Pink curtains frame tall windows on both sides, candy-covered tables line the walls, and colorful bunting flags are strung across the upper corners. The parquet floor is scattered with confetti.
This is the most visually busy puzzle so far. The sheer number of balloons means many pieces look similar at first glance. The strategy here is to ignore the balloons initially and build around the structural elements first — the circular skylight at the top, the birthday cake in the center, the pink curtains on the sides, and the candy tables along the walls. Once that framework is in place the balloon sections become much easier to place because you have clear boundaries to work within.

Day 4 — Chapter 8, Blazing Heart
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 8, Blazing Heart. Look at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will see a blue gift box with an orange bow sitting among the lava landscape. It is easier to spot than the previous days because of the bright orange bow contrasting against the dark red environment. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: The scene is a full character splash art of Fox — a small red-haired gnome girl mid-action, pointing forward with attitude while holding a wrench in her other hand. A large ornate golden cannon fires behind her, sending bullets flying through the air. The background is a sun-drenched arena with stone ruins and blue sky. The puzzle grid lines are visible across the image which actually helps you place pieces accurately.
This is a different type of puzzle from the previous three days. Instead of a scene with many similar-looking elements, this is a single character portrait with strong color contrasts — the bright red hair, the green and purple outfit, the golden cannon, and the blue sky all stand out clearly from each other. Start with Fox herself — her red hair and green outfit are the most distinctive and easiest to anchor. Then place the golden cannon on the left side, and finish with the stone ruins and sky in the background.

Day 5 — Chapter 5, Cadang Thicket
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 5, Cadang Thicket. Look at the bottom center of the screen near Aurora. You will see an orange candy wrapper with a red swirling peppermint candy on top — the same style of candy Easter Egg from Day 2 but in a different chapter. It sits right on the path near Aurora’s position. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: The scene is a stunning splash art of Byrna — the newest hero in Hero Wars — and her Bear Spirit. Byrna sits on a rock in a forest clearing, her red braided hair catching the warm light, while behind her an enormous glowing green bear spirit rises up with piercing yellow-green eyes. The background is a dramatic autumn forest scene — burnt orange and red trees on the left, falling red leaves scattered through the air, and a warm golden horizon glowing behind the spirit. The entire image has a rich contrast between the warm orange tones of the forest and the cool glowing green of the Bear Spirit.
Start with the Bear Spirit — the glowing green against the warm orange background is impossible to confuse with any other section of the image. Place the spirit’s eyes and large rounded head first since they are the sharpest focal point. Then anchor Byrna herself in the center — her red hair and white outfit stand out clearly against the green glow behind her. Work outward from there into the autumn forest on the left and the golden horizon in the background.

Day 6 — Chapter 1, Ruled by Fire
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 1, Ruled by Fire. Look at the top right corner of the screen. You will see a blue gift box with an orange bow — the same style as Day 4. It stands out clearly against the green forest and burnt landscape in the background. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: The scene is a full splash art of Albus — the beloved little dragon pet. Albus is caught mid-flight, wings spread wide, mouth open showing his teeth, charging directly toward the viewer with attitude and energy. His body is grey-blue with red wing membranes and red spines running along his back and head. His eyes are a vivid pink-red. In the background a golden sunlit canyon stretches behind him with rocky cliff walls on both sides, a green valley floor below, and rays of warm light breaking through from above. A smaller dragon is visible in the far background flying away, giving the scene real depth.
The puzzle has excellent contrast between Albus’s grey-blue body and the warm golden canyon background. Start with Albus himself — his grey-blue body against the golden background makes every piece that belongs to him immediately identifiable. Lock in his face and open mouth first since that is the sharpest focal point in the entire image. Then place the red wings which are the most distinctive color in the scene. Work down to his body and tail, then finish with the canyon walls and golden background which are the most uniform sections.

Day 7 — Chapter 12, Boundless Snow
Easter Egg location: Head to Campaign Chapter 12, Boundless Snow. Look at the center right side of the screen near the large wooden Viking-style house and Helios. You will see a blue gift box with an orange bow sitting right next to the house. Tap it to begin.
The puzzle: This is where Day 7 becomes something special. The puzzle is not a hero or a pet you already know. It is a teaser for a brand new unreleased pet coming to Hero Wars.
The scene shows a small green creature flying through a warm golden forest. It has a bright green body, a wide happy smile, and large bright eyes full of personality. Its most striking feature is a dramatic crown of large red, pink and purple leaves fanning out from its head like a headdress. It holds a glowing purple flower in one outstretched hand. Large red and orange leaf wings extend from its body carrying it through the air. The background is a warm golden forest with soft light rays breaking through the canopy and dark green leaves framing the edges of the scene.
This is the first time players are seeing this pet anywhere in the game. The puzzle itself is very manageable — the vivid green body against the warm golden background gives you strong contrast to work with immediately. Start with the creature’s face and the glowing purple flower since those are the sharpest focal points. Then place the dramatic leaf crown which is the most visually distinctive element in the entire image. Work outward through the red and orange leaf wings and finish with the golden forest background.

Tips for Solving the Birthday Mini Game Puzzles
These apply to every day’s puzzle regardless of location:
Work from the edges first. The border pieces have straight edges on one side which makes them easier to identify and place. Building the frame first gives you a clear boundary to work within.
Use the distinctive elements as anchors. Balloons, cakes, and the long table appear in every birthday scene. These elements have strong colors and clear shapes — place them early and let the background fill in around them.
Do not rush. The puzzle is not timed. There is no penalty for taking your time. Players who try to move fast end up misplacing pieces and losing track of progress. Slow and deliberate is faster in the end.
Zoom in if the pieces look similar. Some background sections of the puzzle — sky, grass, table surface — have pieces that look nearly identical at a glance. Take a moment to study the edges before placing them.
