Hero Wars Byrna and Corvus Synergy Guide

Byrna and Corvus Synergy

What’s up, Guardians? Today, we are diving into a mechanic that can make Corvus far more dangerous than he looks on the surface. We are exploring the Byrna and Corvus Synergy—a combination where Byrna is doing much more than just healing. Once you see how these skills connect, you may start testing this combo very differently.

Why the Byrna and Corvus Synergy Matters

In our previous content about the Asgard Maestro boss fight, we explained that there is an interesting synergy between Byrna and Corvus. But today, I want to go deeper and show exactly how that synergy works and why it matters behind the scenes.

We already mentioned before that Corvus, especially in Foundry, can increase his health. As a result, his Altar of Souls becomes more dangerous. The important part of the Byrna and Corvus Synergy is that Corvus does not just become harder to kill; his altar hits harder too. Every point of extra health has double value in this setup.

Corvus: The Altar of Souls Mechanic

Let’s look at Corvus first. His skill, Altar of Souls, conjures an altar that deals pure damage to enemy heroes whenever they damage your team. However, the altar loses health as it punishes the enemy. In high-level play, the altar damage and health depend entirely on Corvus’s own health. Therefore, if Corvus gets more health, the altar becomes tougher and hits harder. This is the foundation of the Byrna and Corvus Synergy.

Byrna: The Engine of the Byrna and Corvus Synergy

Now let’s move to Byrna. The skill we need to focus on is Guardian Spirit (from Roar of Nature). It heals allies, but the game-changing mechanic is that 100% of that healing is converted into a maximum health increase until the end of the battle.

This means Byrna is not simply healing Corvus. She is actually increasing his maximum health pool. Because the Altar of Souls scales with health, Byrna is indirectly increasing the altar’s damage and durability. This direct link is what makes the Byrna and Corvus Synergy so potent in long battles.

Optimizing the Build: Aidan and Albus

To push this synergy to the limit, I’ve tested teams using Aidan and Albus. Aidan further increases Corvus’s health, while Albus (as a patron) increases the pure damage of the Altar of Souls by 75%. When you combine these with the Byrna and Corvus Synergy, the altar becomes a massive threat.

Hero/Pet Role in Synergy
Corvus Deals pure damage via Altar (Scales with HP)
Byrna Converts healing to Permanent Max HP increase
Aidan Boosts total Health pool for scaling
Albus Increases Altar’s Pure Damage by 75%

The “Living Heart” Chain Reaction

There is one more mechanic that unlocks the full potential of the Byrna and Corvus Synergy: Living Heart. This skill increases Byrna’s Magic Attack every time an ally restores health.

  • More healers = More healing triggers.
  • More triggers = Higher Magic Attack for Byrna.
  • Higher Magic Attack = Stronger healing from Guardian Spirit.
  • Stronger healing = Bigger Max HP for Corvus.

Furthermore, Byrna should not be seen as a hero who only works with Mushy and Shroom. She clearly has synergy with other heroes, and Corvus is one of the most interesting examples of that.

Final Thoughts on Byrna and Corvus Synergy

Personally, I believe Foundry in Clash of Worlds is the place where this cooperation could become especially dangerous. If the community finds the right full team around them, Corvus and Byrna could turn Foundry into a very difficult place for opponents to attack.

What kind of support do they need? Most likely, more healers to stack Living Heart or Magic Defense supports like Orion. The Byrna and Corvus Synergy is a base for you to start testing stronger combinations!
