What is Emerald Waterfalls
Emerald Waterfalls is a special, time-limited event in Hero Wars. The event includes four separate quests (or tabs):
- Competent Investment
- The Bare Necessities
Through these quests, players can either buy Emeralds (with real-money) or spend Emeralds in-game — and earn rewards accordingly.
History / Event Timing
- Until 31 July 2023, Emerald Waterfalls ran as a weekly event.
- On 7 August 2023, its format changed: the event became a periodically appearing special event rather than a weekly one.
- After the update, the event became periodic and often appears alongside discounted Emerald sales (such as x4 or x5 Emerald sales)
- Since November 2024, each occurrence of Emerald Waterfalls has been shortened to just 4 days. Also, the “Emerald Boom 2” (buy) and “The Bare Necessities” (spend) quests were adjusted to slightly lower totals compared with older versions.

Equipment Fragment Chest — this is one of the reward items players can receive from the event. The chest may contain fragments for Orange or Violet-tier equipment for Heroes. Previously, these fragments were only available via “Heroic Bundles.”
