Forest Awakening – Mushy and Shroom Event
The Mushy and Shroom Event is arriving soon in Hero Wars, titled Forest Awakening. Scheduled to begin on the 7th of May and lasting for 7 days until the 14th of May, this special event follows a structure similar to new hero events, bringing event quests, valuable rewards, and opportunities to strengthen Mushy and Shroom.
This guide covers everything we know so far about the Forest Awakening Event — from quest progression and reward priorities to resource planning and event value. By preparing early, you can maximize your rewards, avoid wasting important resources, and decide whether this event is worth investing in for your Mushy and Shroom teams.

Mushy and Shroom Event Boss Fight
At the heart of the Forest Awakening event lies the Mushy and Shroom boss fight. Similar to the Fluffy, Lyria, Byrna, and Cascade events, this challenge is expected to focus more on survival and consistency than on pure damage.
• Each round your team survives, you earn event coins.
• Event coins can be exchanged in the Forest Awakening shop for Mushy and Shroom soul stones, upgrade items, and other valuable rewards.
• Once defeated, you can re-enter the fight and continue gathering coins.
• Success depends on lineups with strong healing, protection, and defensive synergy.
The longer you survive, the more coins you collect, making endurance the true strategy of the Forest Awakening Mushy and Shroom event.

Mushy and Shroom Event Rewards: Forest Awakening
The Mushy and Shroom event introduces a series of seven unique boss fights, each tied to a different chapter. While the chapter names will be themed around Forest Awakening, the reward structure for completing them is expected to remain consistent throughout the event. Each stage requires a specific number of Energy Crystals to progress, and defeating the boss grants valuable resources such as event coins, Mushy and Shroom soul stones, upgrade items, skin stone chests, and other useful rewards.
Remember — the Energy Crystals shown in the table below are per chapter only, not cumulative. To unlock all buffs and claim every reward, you will need to progress through all seven chapters step by step. This structure makes the Forest Awakening event both a resource challenge and a tactical progression path for players aiming to maximize their gains.

These are the seven boss-fight chapters for the Forest Awakening event. The rewards follow the same structure as similar special hero events. Energy Crystals are per chapter, not cumulative.

To recruit Mushy and Shroom, players must collect 630 soul stones. These are obtained by spending event coins in the Forest Awakening shop, with a clear table showing how many coins are required for each star rank depending on event progression. Careful planning is needed to reach the final unlock and avoid wasting valuable resources during the Mushy and Shroom Event.

Mushy & Shroom
Upgrading Mushy & Shroom to 6★ requires a significant investment of Valor Coins, and the exact amount depends on your Grail of Generosity relic level. The higher the relic level, the lower the Valor Coin cost for each upgrade.
At lower star ranks, the difference isn’t dramatic. But once you’re aiming for Mushy & Shroom’s final stars, the reduction from Grail upgrades saves a massive amount of coins. This makes upgrading the relic an essential step if you plan to fully develop Mushy & Shroom during the Forest Awakening Event.
The table below shows how many Valor Coins are needed for each star rank at different Grail of Generosity levels:

Mushy & Shroom Event Relics: Forest Awakening Event

Three relics define the Mushy & Shroom Event. Each provides unique benefits and upgrade paths:
- Tome of Greed: Grants extra Stall Coins whenever you spend energy. Can be upgraded to level 15.
- Grail of Generosity: Reduces reward costs in The Ritual’s Price. Can be upgraded to level 18.
- Amulet of Battle: Boosts buffs during boss fights to strengthen your lineup.

Upgrading relics requires strategic resource allocation. The Forest Awakening Event doesn’t offer a single “optimal” route — players must balance between relic upgrades, boss fights, and energy management.
Tome of Greed — Energy & Valor Coin Bonus
Tome of Greed adds more Valor Coins for the event as you spend energy. Each level increases your bonus by +1,000 Valor Coins. Because upgrades cost energy, it’s best to push this relic before you start heavy energy spending during the Forest Awakening Event.
The table below lists the energy cost per level and the total Valor Coin bonus at that level.

Grail of Generosity Upgrade Costs
The Grail of Generosity relic in the Forest Awakening Event reduces the cost of rewards in The Ritual’s Price. Each level you upgrade lowers the price, allowing you to stretch your Valor Coins further. Since upgrading requires energy, it’s important to know exactly how much you’ll need at each stage and how much of a reduction you’ll unlock.
The table below lists the energy cost per level and the coin cost reduction you gain in The Ritual’s Price. Use this information to plan your energy spending and decide how far to push the relic during the Forest Awakening Event.

Energy Requirements For Boss Fight: Forest Awakening Event
Completing all Mushy & Shroom bosses in the Forest Awakening Event fights requires 790 energy in total. With chapter-by-chapter breakdowns available, players can calculate exactly how much they need before spending.
Once this threshold is met, any additional energy can safely be directed toward upgrading relics like the Tome of Greed and Grail of Generosity.
