Hero Wars Freedom Protocol | Eva Adventure 2026
The Hero Wars Freedom Protocol event brings Eva into the Dominion Era, and it is the first new hero event built on the updated format. Instead of seven boss chapters, you now get six regular chapters plus three Archdemon chapters, along with a brand-new resource called Abyssal Seals. This guide covers everything you need to plan the event, from chapter costs and relic upgrades to soul stone math, the Archdemon ranking bonus and every quest.
The event starts on September 24 and runs for seven days. Because some of the data comes from datamines and the previous event, a few numbers may shift once it goes live, so check back for updates.

Eva Event Boss Fight
At the heart of Freedom Protocol sits the chapter boss fight. As with the Fluffy, Lyria, Byrna, Cascade and Astrid and Lucas events, this challenge rewards survival and consistency more than raw damage. Every chapter you clear pays out Valor Coins and Sapphire Medallions, along with other valuable resources, and each currency has its own job:
Valor Coins are spent on spins at the Altar of Fate.
- The Altar of Fate is the only source of Eva soul stones. The event shop does not sell them.
Sapphire Medallions are spent in the Event Shop on upgrade items and other rewards.
Abyssal Seals are new. You earn them from chapters, and they open the harder Archdemon chapters and a separate reward ladder.
Each chapter gives you three lives. If you lose all three, the chapter resets with no penalty, so you can retry as many times as you need. However, chapter rewards are one-time only, and a boss you have already beaten will not pay out again.
You can still keep fighting after that, since wins continue to count toward your event quests. One quest asks for 64 battle wins, and Chapter I is now the only free chapter, so farming it is the fastest route to finish that counter.
Hero Wars Freedom Protocol Chapters & Rewards
The regular part of the event runs across six chapters. Each one is gated by an Amulet of Battle level, and every chapter now also pays out Abyssal Seals. Compared with the Astrid and Lucas event, the gates have moved down by one chapter: Chapter II now needs Amulet level 5, whereas previously the first two chapters were both free.
Chapters I–VI — Amulet Level, Energy Crystals and Rewards
| Chapter | Amulet Level | Energy Crystals (Cumulative) | Abyssal Seals | Complete Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | Lv 1 | 0 | ||
| II | Lv 5 | 50 (+50) | ||
| III | Lv 10 | 160 (+110) | ||
| IV | Lv 15 | 320 (+160) | ||
| V | Lv 20 | 530 (+210) | ||
| VI | Lv 25 | 790 (+260) | ||
| Total | — | 790 |
Two rewards changed from the last event. The 30 Large Skin Stone Chests are gone, and Chapter V now awards a Red Gift of the Dominion. Meanwhile, the Summoning Sphere moves to Chapter VI, which is now the final regular chapter.
Unlocking Eva
Eva does not start at one star and climb. Instead, she arrives at 2★, which costs 30 soul stones, or roughly eight spins at the Altar of Fate. Taking her all the way to 6★ requires 630 soul stones in total.
Every one of those stones comes from the Altar of Fate. Since the event shop does not sell soul stones, your Valor Coin income and your Grail of Generosity level decide how far Eva can be evolved during the event. Higher stars are a real power increase on this hero, so plan your spins carefully rather than stopping the moment she unlocks.
Eva Soul Stone Upgrade
| Star | Soul Stones | Cumulative |
|---|---|---|
| ★ | 10 | 10 |
| ★★ | 20 | 30 |
| ★★★ | 50 | 80 |
| ★★★★ | 100 | 180 |
| ★★★★★ | 150 | 330 |
| ★★★★★★ | 300 | 630 |
| Total | 630 | 630 |
Eva Valor Coin Costs
Valor Coins are not spent on star upgrades directly. Rather, they buy spins at the Altar of Fate, those spins produce soul stones, and the soul stones raise Eva’s stars. So the figures below show how much spinning each star rank costs you.
That cost depends on your Grail of Generosity level, because the Grail lowers the price of every spin. At low star ranks the difference is modest. The sixth star alone, however, costs 300 soul stones, which is about 75 spins, so Grail upgrades save a huge amount there. In total, the full run to 6★ works out at roughly 427,000 Valor Coins at Grail level 1, dropping to about 348,000 at level 6 and 158,000 at level 18.
Valor Coins Spent Spinning per Star Rank (by Grail of Generosity Level)

Freedom Protocol Relics
Three relics define the event, and each one has its own upgrade path:
Tome of Greed: grants extra Valor Coins whenever you spend Energy Crystals. It can be upgraded to level 15.
Grail of Generosity: reduces the cost of your spins at the Altar of Fate. It can be upgraded to level 18.
Amulet of Battle: boosts your buffs during boss fights and gates chapter progression. Chapter II needs level 5, Chapter III level 10, Chapter IV level 15, Chapter V level 20 and Chapter VI level 25.
You are not meant to max all three, since the Energy Crystal budget does not stretch that far. Decide your realistic chapter target first. Then, whatever crystals remain after paying for it are what the Tome and the Grail have to share. Stopping one chapter early and pouring the savings into the Grail often gives you more soul stones overall.
Tome of Greed — Energy Crystal Cost & Valor Coin Bonus
Tome of Greed adds more Valor Coins as you spend Energy Crystals, and each level raises the bonus by 1,000 coins. Because the bonus only applies to crystals spent after upgrading, push this relic first, before you start any heavy spending.

Grail of Generosity Upgrade Costs
The Grail of Generosity lowers the cost of each spin at the Altar of Fate, taking it from 2,800 Valor Coins down to 1,000 at level 18. Because the Altar is the only source of Eva soul stones, cheaper spins translate directly into more stones.

Amulet of Battle — Energy Crystals by Chapter
Reaching Chapter VI requires the Amulet of Battle at level 25, which costs 790 Energy Crystals in total. With the breakdown below, you can work out exactly what each chapter costs before you spend anything. Buffs only begin from level 11, so the first two gates are purely about unlocking chapters.

Archdemon Chapters & Abyssal Seals
The biggest change in the Hero Wars Freedom Protocol event is the Archdemon. After the six regular chapters, three Archdemon chapters (7, 8 and 9) are added on top. These fights are about damage, not survival, and they feed a ranking with bonuses that stack on top of each other.
Archdemon Chapters
| Chapter | Amulet Level | Abyssal Seals Required | Ranking Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | Lv 1 | None | None |
| 8 | Lv 15 | +50% | |
| 9 | Lv 25 | +100% |
Chapter 7 is open to everyone from the start. By contrast, Chapter 8 needs the same Amulet level as Chapter IV, and Chapter 9 needs the full level 25, so the Archdemon rewards the same crystal investment as the regular chapters.
Where Abyssal Seals Come From
The six regular chapters award 10 Abyssal Seals in total. A free-to-play player who stops at Chapter IV collects 6 of them, while the last 4 sit behind Chapters V and VI. Any seals beyond those 10 are only available through paid bundles.
Abyssal Seal Reward Ladder
Collecting seals also moves you along a separate milestone ladder, which adds more ranking bonus and a few rewards.
Cumulative Seals & Rewards
| Seals Collected | Reward |
|---|---|
| +25% ranking bonus | |
| +25% ranking bonus | |
| Hero upgrade chest | |
| +25% ranking bonus | |
| Hero upgrade chest | |
| +25% ranking bonus | |
| Hero upgrade chest | |
| Additional item | |
| Hero upgrade chest | |
| Additional item |
Put together, Chapter 9’s +100% and the ladder’s +100% stack to a maximum +200% ranking bonus. Notably, only the first 10 seals are free, so the top of the Archdemon ranking will be heavily shaped by spending.
End-of-Event Conversion
When the event ends, any leftover event currencies are converted into Hero Resource Chests. Nothing is wasted, although spending them during the event is almost always better value.

Freedom Protocol Battle Pass
The event also has a Battle Pass with free rewards at every level and a Golden Pass for the premium track. There is no hero skin in this pass, only a player avatar, so it is optional rather than essential. Even so, the Golden track holds 150 Energy Crystals and 20 Sapphire Medallions against 40 and 4 on the free track, which matters if you are aiming for Chapter V or VI, or for the Archdemon ranking.

Eva Event Quests
The event includes two sets of quests.
Freedom Protocol
These are your core objectives. Each line shows the maximum progress that counts toward rewards. Note that Valor Coins and Sapphire Medallions are event currencies, so most of these quests only progress once the event is live. The main exception is Emeralds, where both buying and spending count, so it pays to hold any planned Emerald spending until the event opens.
- Win battles in the Freedom Protocol event — MAX 64
Clear fights on the event map and in boss encounters. Each win moves the counter until it caps at 64, and farming Chapter I is the fastest way to finish it. - Buy Emerald — MAX 120,000
Any Emerald purchase counts, up to a total of 120,000. - Spend Emerald — MAX 150,000
Use Emeralds on your usual priorities; only the first 150,000 spent are counted. - Deal damage to the Archdemon — MAX 750,000,000
New for this event. Milestones sit at 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M, 500M and 750M total damage across your Archdemon fights. - Buy any pet in the Hero Stall — MAX 10
Purchase pets from the Hero Stall. Up to 10 count toward the quest. - Get VIP points — MAX 7,000
Earn VIP points through purchases or bundles; the quest stops tracking after 7,000. - Spend Stall Coin — MAX 5,000
Only the first 5,000 Stall Coins spent are recorded. - Spend Sapphire Medallion — MAX 100
Spend up to 100 Sapphire Medallions for full credit.
Unleashing Power
These rewards are taken from Resonance of Souls.
- Gift of the Elements level for Eva — MAX 30
Invest Gift of the Elements levels into Eva, up to 30 counted. - Evolution level for Eva — MAX 6★
Evolve Eva through her star ranks; credit caps at 6★. - Promote Eva — MAX Red
Promote Eva through the color ranks; tracking ends at Red. - 1st Artifact level for Eva — MAX 80
Level Eva’s first artifact as high as 80 for full quest credit. - Eva glyph levels — MAX 150
Raise Eva’s glyphs; a total of 150 levels count. - Upgrade any hero’s skin — MAX 150
Improve skins across your roster, not just Eva. Up to 150 levels are counted, so if you are sitting on skin stones, holding them for the event window pays off. - Unlock an Ascension glyph in the Ascension Spire — MAX 30
Open Ascension glyphs; up to 30 unlocks count. - Total ability levels for Eva — MAX 400
Level Eva’s skills; a combined total of 400 levels is tracked.
Overall, Hero Wars Freedom Protocol rewards the players who plan before the first fight. Pick your chapter target, push the Tome of Greed early, and let the Grail carry your spins, because every crystal you save there turns into more Eva soul stones.
