Hero Wars “Under the Power of Water” Energy Calculator
Events in Hero Wars often require careful planning, especially when unlocking higher chapters of the special adventures. The “Under the Power of Water” event is no exception, with multiple quests and requirements that demand a mix of free-to-play effort and smart spending. To make things easier, we’ve built an interactive calculator that allows you to instantly see how much event energy you can collect and which chapters you can unlock.
In this guide, we’ll break down how the calculator works, what each input means, and how you can use it to maximize your progress.
Fixed Energy Sources
Every player, regardless of spending, starts with fixed energy rewards during the event. These are:
- Free Quests → 442 energy
- Battle Pass → 150 energy (optional, only if you purchase it)
This means that without spending a single emerald or sapphire medallion, you can already gather 592 energy if you also activate the Battle Pass. That’s enough to unlock Chapters 1–6 (since Chapter 6 requires 530 energy). However, Chapter 7 requires a total of 790, so you will need more sources.
Emerald Spending Rewards
One of the main ways to gain energy is by completing the Emerald Flow quests. Spending emeralds unlocks cumulative rewards. For example, if you spend 50,000 emeralds, you receive not only the 50k tier rewards but also everything below it.
Here are the key milestones:
- 100 emeralds → 1 energy
- 500 emeralds → 3 energy
- 3,000 emeralds → 6 energy
- 25,000 emeralds → 20 energy
- 70,000 emeralds → 44 energy
- 150,000 emeralds → 90 energy
Players who spend the maximum of 150k emeralds during the event will secure an additional 90 energy, which could be decisive for unlocking Chapter 7.
Sapphire Medallion Spending
Another valuable source of energy is the Sapphire Medallion quests. These follow a similar cumulative system where higher spending automatically includes lower-tier rewards.
- Spend 3 Medallions → 3 energy
- Spend 20 Medallions → 20 energy
- Spend 70 Medallions → 70 energy
- Spend 100 Medallions → 100 energy
If you complete the maximum requirement (100 medallions), you’ll gain an impressive 100 additional energy.
VIP Points and Battle Pass Connection
The VIP quest chain is often overlooked, but it can provide a significant boost. Energy is rewarded every 500 VIP points up to 5000 (6 energy per tier), and then larger chunks at 6000 and 7000 VIP points (12 each). Reaching 7000 VIP points grants a total of 84 energy.
The twist is that purchasing the Battle Pass automatically grants 1600 VIP points, which instantly unlocks the first three VIP tiers. That’s a guaranteed 18 energy in addition to the 150 energy directly from the Battle Pass.
Chapter Unlock Requirements
To progress through the adventure, here are the cumulative energy requirements:
- Chapter 3 → 50 energy
- Chapter 4 → 160 energy
- Chapter 5 → 320 energy
- Chapter 6 → 530 energy
- Chapter 7 → 790 energy
This means:
- Free quests alone allow you to reach Chapter 5.
- Free quests + Battle Pass push you into Chapter 6.
- To clear Chapter 7, you will need to add emerald spending, medallion spending, and possibly higher VIP progress.
How to Use the Calculator
Using the calculator is simple:
- Select Yes/No for Battle Pass.
- Choose the highest emerald spending tier you expect to reach.
- Choose the highest sapphire medallion tier.
- Enter your VIP points total.
- Hit Calculate and instantly see your total energy.
The calculator will display your total energy count, ✔/✖ indicators for each chapter, and a short summary that explains exactly how far you can go and how much more you need for the next chapter.
