Isaac Talisman Guide | Hero Wars Alliance
Welcome back, Guardians! This Isaac Talisman Guide continues our Hero Wars Alliance Talisman Series through the Progress faction — also known by many players as the Engineers. As always, our goal is not simply to declare one talisman good and the other bad. Instead, we want to understand how each option changes Isaac and whether one is clearly superior, or if each creates a different identity depending on the fight.
That is what makes talismans such an interesting system in Hero Wars Alliance. Unlike skins, glyphs, artifacts, relics, and most other progression systems that stay permanently fixed, talismans give us flexibility. They allow us to adjust a hero before battle and completely change how that hero behaves from one matchup to another. For hero hitters especially, choosing the correct talisman can completely change the result of an attack.
One quick reminder before we begin: throughout this series, we always mention the fixed main stat first and the rerollable secondary stat second.
Why Isaac Is One of Progress’s Most Important Heroes
Isaac is a founding piece of the famous JJI core alongside Julius and Judge — and he remains relevant because of one very important thing: consistency. His value does not come from dealing damage. Instead, it comes from creating the conditions that allow the rest of your team to function at maximum efficiency. The drones he deploys offer shielding, healing, armor penetration, and support. Constant debuffs interfere with the enemy lineup, and at the right moment, his ultimate can completely shift the rhythm of battle and amplify your damage dealer’s pressure.
Because of that, when building Isaac we are not searching for explosive numbers. We are searching for reliability. Keep that in mind throughout this Isaac Talisman Guide — it becomes the deciding factor when comparing his two options.
Isaac Talisman Guide: Talisman of Technology
The Talisman of Technology was originally one of the premium talismans released during early Talisman Fever rotations. At the time, acquiring it required a very serious investment. Its stat package, however, makes it immediately stand out as a natural fit for Isaac.
Talisman of Technology Stats
Sixteen thousand Physical Attack is not a small number. And when you look at Isaac’s skill set, Physical Attack appears frequently across multiple abilities. That means every point of Physical Attack contributes to several interactions simultaneously — amplifying what Isaac already does naturally, and generating more value over the course of a long fight.
Isaac Talisman Guide: Talisman of Innovator
The Talisman of Innovator followed a completely different release philosophy and was available for free during its original event. Its stat package, however, takes the comparison in a very different direction.
Talisman of Innovator Stats
Notice what is missing: Physical Attack. Toughness and Crushing are not bad stats on their own — but they feel disconnected from the version of Isaac that most Progress teams build and rely on. His job is to shield, heal, buff, debuff, and create stability. Those two stats simply do not reinforce that identity.
How Isaac’s Skills Scale with Physical Attack
Skill scaling is always the first factor we examine when evaluating talismans in this series. For Isaac, Physical Attack appears across multiple parts of his kit. That means the contribution from the Talisman of Technology grows more meaningful than it first appears — each point of Physical Attack benefits several abilities at once rather than a single isolated effect.
More Physical Attack means stronger interactions across several abilities and more value generated through the things Isaac already wants to do naturally. Technology therefore offers compound returns, not a narrow boost. That is exactly the kind of advantage that compounds over the long fights that Progress teams are built to win.
Which Isaac Talisman Should You Choose?
For this Isaac Talisman Guide, the recommendation is clear: Talisman of Technology.
The reasoning comes back to role alignment. Isaac is a support hero. His value is built on consistency, stability, and enabling the rest of the team. Technology directly reinforces every part of that identity. Multiple abilities benefit from the Physical Attack boost, making him a more reliable contributor in exactly the kinds of slow-build, controlled-pressure battles that Progress setups are designed to win.
Innovator is not useless — Toughness and Crushing are real stats. However, they feel disconnected from what most Progress teams ask Isaac to do, and they do not reinforce the identity players rely on when they slot him into a lineup. Technology simply fits better, more naturally, and more consistently.
Where to Get the Isaac Talisman of Technology
Availability is one more reason to feel good about this recommendation. The Talisman of Technology periodically appears in the Eternal Frontier Merchant for 700,000 coins. When you see it listed there, grab it without hesitation — the difference it makes to Isaac’s performance is meaningful and worth the investment.
The Talisman of Innovator, by contrast, remains difficult to predict in terms of future availability. For now, players are not missing out on anything critical by waiting on that one.
Progress continues to be one of the smartest factions in Hero Wars Alliance. Isaac remains one of the best examples that understanding a hero’s role often matters more than chasing unusual or flashy stats. Technology wins this Isaac Talisman Guide comparison because it fits — naturally, consistently, and in exactly the ways that Progress teams need.
