REALM SKILLS EXPLAINED Part 2 | Hero Wars Alliance
Greetings, Guardians! Today we return once again to one of the newest and most mysterious systems in the game… Realm. In this guide, we are looking specifically at Realm Skills explained for five more influential heroes.
If you’ve been following our series, you already know: this is not something you can ignore. These skills might not affect your regular battles, but inside Realm, they can completely change how your troops perform. This Realm Skills explained breakdown focuses on Morrigan, Polaris, Ginger, Fafnir, and Somna.
Note: Realm Skills ONLY affect gameplay inside Realm. They influence your marksmen, spearmen, and infantry—not the heroes themselves.
Morrigan: Stability and Specialization
We start with Morrigan. She brings a mix of general support and specialization. Her first Realm Skills explained trait increases the health of all your troops. It’s consistent, and in long fights, consistency leads to victory.
Her second skill focuses on spearmen, significantly increasing their damage while reducing enemy defense. This makes Morrigan a strategic choice—she is highly rewarding if you run a spearmen-focused composition.

Polaris and Ginger: Flexible Offense
Polaris is purely offensive. Her first skill focuses on marksmen, but her second skill buffs ALL troops. This flexibility makes her incredibly appealing for early-game Realm progression where you haven’t committed to a specific troop type yet.
Similarly, Ginger provides two layers of offensive potential. In our Realm Skills explained analysis, Ginger stands out because both of her skills boost damage for every troop type. One skill offers consistent bonus damage, while the other offers explosive, high-damage potential over a longer duration.
Hero Skill Overview
| Hero | Primary Focus | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Morrigan | HP / Spearmen DMG | Spearmen-heavy builds |
| Polaris | All Troop DMG | General Flexibilty |
| Ginger | Explosive DMG Boosts | Offensive pressure |
| Fafnir | Counter-Marksmen | Niche Counter-play |
| Somna | Crowd Control (Stun) | Disrupting enemy troops |
Fafnir and Somna: Complexity & Control
Fafnir’s Realm Skills explained reveal a more complex kit. He reduces incoming damage from enemy marksmen while increasing the damage of your spearmen. It is a powerful split effect, but it requires the right enemy and the right army composition to be effective.
Finally, we have Somna. She is the hero to watch because she introduces Control. Her second skill brings a chance to STUN enemy troops. If your enemy cannot act, they cannot deal damage. This makes Somna a potential meta-shifter for future PvP battles within the Realm system.

Conclusion: Be Smart with Your Resources
We are starting to see patterns in how Realm Skills explained play out across different hero roles. Some offer specialization, others flexibility, and a few—like Somna—bring unique utility.
Do not rush to level everything. Observe. Test. Learn. The players who adapt early will be the ones leading the rankings when PvP arrives in Realm.
