REALM UPDATE GUIDE – What You NEED To Know NOW

Realm Update Guide

Greetings, Guardians! Today we’re diving deeper into one of the most mysterious systems ever introduced into the game… Realm skills. In this Realm Update Guide, we are moving beyond the basics. You already know where these skills live and how they are leveled, but today we uncover what they actually mean for your power levels.

Everything we’re about to talk about is still early. The system is fresh, the meta is not defined, and we are still missing the PvP element. But even so, there are already clues.

Folio: The Specialized Defender

Let’s start this Realm Update Guide analysis with Folio. Folio is a monster in standard gameplay, but in Realm, his first skill brings a very specific type of defense: reducing damage from enemy spearmen. This is situational. It depends entirely on what you are facing.

His second skill offers a chance for troops to critically strike. While explosive, crit mechanics are unreliable. Because of this split between niche defense and risky offense, it’s hard to call him a “must-invest” for Realm right now.

Iris: Supporting the Marksmen

Hero Wars Alliance Realm Update Guide

Iris follows a similar pattern. Her first skill reduces damage from marksmen—again, a specific matchup tool. However, her second skill boosts your own marksmen, giving them a chance to deal increased damage. If Realm evolves into a system where troop specialization matters, Iris could become extremely valuable.

Xesha: The Queen of Flexibility

This is where our Realm Update Guide takes a turn. Unlike the others, Xesha does not care about troop type. She buffs infantry, spearmen, and marksmen equally.

  • Skill 1: Increases attack for ALL troops.
  • Skill 2: Increases crit chance for ALL troops.

Xesha fits into everything. She is already part of the strongest Realm PvE compositions, making her a safe and powerful investment.

Kayla & Julius: Aggression vs. Stability

Kayla focuses purely on infantry. She increases crit chance and damage against specific types. It’s narrow, but potentially dominant if infantry becomes the meta-favorite.

Julius, on the other hand, brings stability. Both of his skills affect all troops. He increases defense across the entire army and absorbs damage dealt to your troops. In longer, sustained battles, Julius provides the control needed to survive.

Realm Update Guide: Hero Flexibility Rating

Hero Troop Focus Versatility
Xesha All Troops S-Tier (High)
Julius All Troops S-Tier (High)
Iris Marksmen Situational
Folio Spearmen (Def) Situational

Mastering the Realm Meta

Looking at this Realm Update Guide, we see two paths: Specialized heroes (powerful but niche) and Flexible heroes (always useful). Experience tells us that flexibility tends to win in the long run.

Do not rush your resources. Watch how the meta evolves. For more specific Hero builds, check out our Fafnir Talisman Guide or our breakdown of the Best Lian Team Guide. If you’re looking for more events, don’t miss the Talisman Fever Guide.
