That is slowly changing. These newer Biomech skins are pushing things in a healthier direction — one where counters matter again, building matters again, and thinking matters again. That alone makes this skin wave worth discussing.
Avalon’s New Biomech Skin
Avalon receives additional Defense against Light Titans. At first glance this might look like a simple stat increase, but it is much more than that. Defensive interactions directly change attack decisions — and that ripple effect is what truly matters here.
Consider Guild Wars, Global Championship, or any of those moments where someone attacks quickly, already certain of the result. Mistakes happen in those situations. Players forget skins, defensive structures, and key interactions. Suddenly a battle that should have been simple becomes much harder than expected.
Now add this: Angus already creates defensive interactions against Light Titans. As a result, Earth structures are slowly becoming increasingly uncomfortable for players blindly throwing Light compositions into them. The assumption that five Light Titans automatically destroy everything simply is not true anymore.
Avalon’s skin deepens that further. Earth structures now have more defensive options, more punishment potential, and more overall depth. Offensively, Earth compositions also become more comfortable entering Dark matchups. Remember when defensive Biomech interactions first appeared for Brustar? Things got complicated fast — and those complications are good, because they force real decisions.
Verdict: Excellent.
Mairi’s New Biomech Skin
Mairi also receives additional Defense against Light Titans — and yes, that might sound familiar at first. However, Water structures work differently, and this is where things get even more interesting.
Consider the full picture. Sigurd already has defensive interactions against Dark Titans, and Nova already has offensive interactions against Dark Titans. Now Mairi adds defensive interactions against Light. As a result, Water structures become increasingly complete — more specialized, more layered, and more dangerous to attack without proper preparation.
This is exactly what Titans needed. Because now players start asking better questions: Can I attack this? Am I missing something? Should I switch compositions entirely? These questions create strategy, and strategy is what players have wanted more of for a long time.
Verdict: Excellent.
Ignis’s New Biomech Skin
Ignis receives a Health skin. And here, the opinion shifts slightly.
Health is not bad — more Health never suddenly becomes useless. But compared to what Avalon and Mairi create, this feels less exciting. The core reason is simple: Ignis already has enormous amounts of Health. Adding more simply creates a tankier version of what already exists. It makes Ignis stronger without question, but it does not produce new counters, change attack decisions dramatically, or unlock new structures.
The defensive interaction skins immediately generate new questions, create uncertainty, and put players in situations where they must actually think before attacking. The Health skin, while useful, does not accomplish that in the same way — which is ultimately why it lands as good rather than excellent.
Verdict: Good — but less exciting.
Final Thoughts on the Biomech Skin Wave
The bigger picture here is what these skins represent for Titan battles as a whole. More counters, more adaptation, more strategy, and more reasons to think carefully before entering a fight. That is exactly what Titans needed, and these skins — especially Avalon’s and Mairi’s — push clearly in that direction.
