Hero Wars Resource Guide 2026

Hero Wars Resource Guide

Every account in the Dominion Era lives or dies by one thing: where your resources go. This Hero Wars Resource Guide breaks down the three mistakes quietly crippling accounts across every server — the kind that don’t feel like mistakes while you’re making them. Fix them and the exact same materials you already earn will carry your account far, far further than they do right now.

Mistake #1: Upgrading Too Many Heroes at Once

You pull a shiny new hero, the abilities look overpowered, and you immediately start pouring materials in. Then another hero shows up, and then another. Before long your resources are smeared across ten half-built heroes — and not one of them can actually carry you. You end up with a roster full of projects instead of a single complete team.

Here’s the reality: your resources are limited, and they’re limited for everyone. Unless you’re the single biggest spender on your server, you’re going to run short on materials constantly, because that’s simply how the game is designed. The fix is almost boringly simple — find your team. Five heroes. That’s your foundation, and that’s where your investment belongs.

Don’t know which five? That’s completely fine — you don’t have to figure it out alone. YouTube guides, community blogs, and Discord are all there for you, so doing a little homework before you commit is exactly the kind of move that saves you months of wasted mats. In fact, the players who ask questions are the ones who stop wasting resources.

The deeper trap is chasing whatever happens to be strongest this week. However, the meta always shifts — it always does. Build around core heroes that stay relevant after the shift, and your account stays strong through every rebalance. Build around this month’s flavor instead, and you’re rebuilding from scratch the moment it changes. That sting is even worse if a server merge is on the horizon, because the competition around you suddenly gets a whole lot tougher. So find your core heroes, commit, and invest — that’s how strong accounts are built.

Mistake #2: Wasting Your Emeralds

Emeralds are one of the most valuable resources in the game, and they’re harder to earn than ever. Tournament of Power no longer hands them out, and the Summerfest emerald generator is gone too. In short, every emerald you own is worth more now, which means every single spend matters even more. So let’s talk about where they should actually go.

✅ Worth Your Emeralds ❌ Emerald Traps
Totems (used correctly) Hero soul summons (gambling for a hero)
Artifact chests The Tower
Outland chests Circle of Summoning
Long-term artifact & skin-stone value Altar of Elements (see the one exception)

Totems are absolutely worth spending emeralds on, but only if you do it intelligently. First rule: only level a totem you’re actively using, or one you’re about to use — don’t spread totem levels around like confetti. And here’s the real trick: timing. Every totem level increases your Titan power, and the Titan Tournament of Power rewards exactly that. So bank your levels, then upgrade them all at once during the event to turn the same investment into extra leaderboard rewards. If you’re already grinding titans for their power anyway, that stored-up boost lands at the perfect moment.

For steady, reliable value, artifact chests and Outland chests are the best long-term emerald spends around. You always need more artifacts and hero skin stones, so they consistently pay off.

Now for the traps. Don’t gamble emeralds on hero soul summons hoping for a specific grand-prize hero, because there’s no guarantee you’ll get who you want — which makes it a poor investment. Skip the Tower, the Circle of Summoning, and the Altar of Elements too. There is, however, one exception: if you know exactly what you’re doing and you’re guaranteed to unlock a totem after a set amount of spending in the Altar, then go for it. But only if you’re certain. If you’re unsure, that’s your answer — save your emeralds.

Mistake #3: Ignoring Asgard

This last one isn’t just for you — it’s for your entire guild. Asgard currently rotates two bosses: Osh, the Eternal Keeper, and the Maestro of the Phantom Orchestra. Eventually you’ll want teams for both, but if you’re only building one, start with Osh.

Here’s why. The core Osh heroes — Sebastian, Nebula, and Isaac — aren’t just great in Asgard, because they’re excellent PvP heroes too. That means every resource you invest pulls double duty: you strengthen your Asgard team while improving your arena, grand arena, and other competitive lineups at the same time. In other words, it’s one investment with payoff across multiple game modes.

And please — actually use the team to deal meaningful damage. Asgard isn’t a solo mode, since the boss shares one health bar across the whole guild, so every point of damage helps everyone. Moreover, the rewards are worth it: eternal seeds, ascension materials, and other mats you need to keep pushing your heroes forward. The more your guild deals together, the more everyone earns.

So stop sitting it out, and stop leaving it to the same three people every week. Build the team, learn the fight, attack the boss, and support your guild. That’s what a guild is for.

Your Hero Wars Resource Strategy

That’s the whole idea behind this Hero Wars Resource Guide: concentrate your heroes, spend emeralds with intent, and pull your weight in Asgard. None of these mistakes look dangerous in the moment — that’s exactly why they cost so many players so dearly. Nail all three, and you’ll steadily pull ahead of people earning the identical resources you are, simply because you’re spending them better.
