Unstable Equilibrium F2P Guide

This Unstable Equilibrium F2P Guide covers the second event of Ancient Awakening in Hero Wars Alliance, with a sensible stopping point for every task line. Metida’s launch week rolls on, and after breaking down Firstborn Force yesterday, the strategy now shifts toward Emerald spending, Realm Research, Elemental Spheres, Rune Stones, Arena and Grand Arena.

More importantly, this event is another chance to keep progressing through the launch of the brand-new Elarite Supertitan, Metida. Below, you’ll find our recommended targets, the best timing for each spend, and the rewards you can expect if you follow the plan.

Why Metida’s Launch Week Matters

Metida is one of the most exciting additions to Titan battles in a long time. Her ability to work alongside different Elements immediately opens possibilities that simply weren’t available before, since Water, Earth, Fire and Elarite each interact with her in their own way.

In other words, her launch isn’t just about collecting another Titan. Instead, it’s the start of building something that could open completely different compositions for your account. We’re only at the beginning of understanding what those combinations can do once players develop her and put her into serious war battles.

That’s exactly why we’ll be testing her across different Elements, combinations and matchups on both attack and defense. Ultimately, the goal is to find out where Metida belongs and how much she can change the Titan battlefield.

A Note for Newer Guardians

If you’re early in your account progression and working toward Infinite Dungeon, there’s no need to abandon that plan and redirect everything into Metida. That said, ignoring her completely isn’t the answer either. Collect what you reasonably can during her launch, take advantage of what the event offers, and remember that development doesn’t have to happen overnight.

For established Titan accounts, on the other hand, Metida is absolutely someone worth watching very closely.

How This Unstable Equilibrium F2P Guide Works

As always, we’re reviewing the event primarily from a Free-to-Play perspective. Naturally, you can push considerably further if your resources and account allow it.

Our objective isn’t to tell you that you must stop at a specific number. Rather, it’s to set a baseline where the return stays worthwhile without destroying resources you’ve spent weeks or months accumulating.

Unstable Equilibrium has eight task lines in total:

  • Generous Soul (Get VIP Points)
  • Wise Exchange (Spend Emeralds)
  • Hurry Up and Research
  • Awakening
  • Power Balance
  • Trial of Strength
  • Cycle of Success

There are also additional Unstable Equilibrium rewards inside the Ancient Awakening tab, based on your total completed tasks. We’ll connect everything together in the Ancient Awakening breakdown, but for now, our target is approximately 50 completed tasks. Every recommendation below is built around that number.

Task-by-Task F2P Recommendations

This one couldn’t be easier. Simply enter the game every day throughout the seven-day event and collect your rewards.

Generous Soul (VIP Points)

Generous Soul is based on earning VIP Points. Because our calculations are built around a Free-to-Play player, we’re assuming zero VIP Points here. Anything you naturally obtain beyond that simply becomes extra progression.

Wise Exchange (Spend Emeralds)

For a pure Free-to-Play baseline, around 1,000 Emeralds spent is a reasonable stopping point.

However, this week gets interesting if you do have resources available. Several sales and discounts are running on Outland, Heroic and Artifact Chests, as well as Summoning Spheres and Elemental Spheres. So unlike an event where you’d just be burning Emeralds for progression, you can combine that spending with things you were already planning to develop. If you decide to push past the baseline, look for those overlaps first.

Hurry Up and Research

This newer Realm-based task uses Research speedups, and it’s tough to evaluate for a Free-to-Play account because the maximum requirement is enormous. Fully completing it takes 41 hours of Research speedups, which simply isn’t realistic for most players. More importantly, the rewards don’t justify forcing it.

Our target is far more conservative: 240 minutes of Research speedups. Even so, don’t use them right away. Wait until Day 3 of Guild Versus, where an overlap lets those same speedups count toward both objectives. Four hours spent once, progress gained twice.

Awakening (Elemental Spheres)

This task requires opening Elemental Spheres, and the maximum climbs to a massive 875 Spheres. We’re not going anywhere near that for the Free-to-Play baseline. Instead, our recommended stopping point is roughly 340 Elemental Spheres.

Once again, timing matters. There are at least two Guild Versus overlap opportunities here, on Day 1 and Day 5. Before opening hundreds of Spheres, check what else is active, because opening those same 340 at the right moment can progress multiple objectives at once.

Power Balance (Rune Stones)

Power Balance asks you to spend Rune Stones on Hero Glyphs, with a maximum requirement of 750,000. That’s a huge investment. Considering there was another significant Rune Stone spending task only about two weeks ago, reaching the maximum isn’t realistic for the average Free-to-Play player.

As a result, our recommended target is around 200,000 Rune Stones. Patience pays off here too, since spending them on Day 6 also adds Guild Versus progression. Don’t treat these recommendations as numbers alone; when you spend them is where much of the real event value comes from.

Trial of Strength (Arena)

This Arena task asks for up to 60 attacks across the event. Since we’re at the beginning of a new Season, everyone needs to start climbing again anyway.

Arena attacks cost Emeralds once your free attempts run out, but climbing also pays Emeralds back. Reaching Champions II earns 1,000 Emeralds per day, while Champions I still provides 300 daily. That natural return makes pushing this task more reasonable than spending Emeralds into nothing.

Our recommendation is to stop at roughly 50 Arena attacks. Spread them across the seven days rather than forcing everything at once, and this should be a realistic target for many players.

Cycle of Success (Grand Arena)

The maximum progression here isn’t particularly attractive, because the rewards aren’t strong enough to justify aggressively buying extra attacks. So we’re keeping it simple: use your free attacks and aim for about 35 Grand Arena attacks across the week.

Guild Versus Overlap Timing

Several of these tasks overlap with Guild Versus, so holding resources until the right day lets one spend count twice. Here’s the timing at a glance:

Resource Guild Versus Day F2P Target
Elemental Spheres Day 1 and Day 5 ~340 Spheres
Research Speedups Day 3 240 minutes
Rune Stones Day 6 ~200,000

Full Unstable Equilibrium F2P Guide Summary

Put everything together and here’s the complete Free-to-Play plan for all eight task lines:

Task Line Maximum F2P Target
Log In 7 days All 7 days
Generous Soul VIP Points 0 (assumed)
Wise Exchange Emerald spend ~1,000 Emeralds
Hurry Up and Research 41 hours 240 minutes
Awakening 875 Spheres ~340 Spheres
Power Balance 750,000 Rune Stones ~200,000 Rune Stones
Trial of Strength 60 attacks ~50 attacks
Cycle of Success Grand Arena attacks ~35 attacks (free)

Expected Rewards

Following this plan puts you at roughly 50 completed Unstable Equilibrium tasks. Based on our calculations, that works out to approximately:

  • 45,500 Eternal Marks
  • 5,050 Adventure Coins
  • 180 Season Pass Trophies

What Comes Next in Ancient Awakening

With Firstborn Force and Unstable Equilibrium both covered, the final piece is Ancient Awakening itself. Next, we’ll connect the progression from both events, look at the final tasks and rewards, and tackle the question that really matters: what’s worth picking up from the Event Shop.

After all, this is Metida’s launch, with a brand-new Elarite Supertitan and new elemental possibilities to explore. When Ancient Awakening finishes, the resources you spent should actually move your account forward. If you’re developing Metida, enjoy the launch, collect what you can and build her intelligently. Collecting her is only the beginning; finding out exactly what she can do is where things get really interesting.
