Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin 2026

Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin

The Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin pair landed in Hero Wars Web on October 1st, and at first glance the two skins look like a matching set. In practice, though, they do completely different jobs. Aidan’s skin keeps the twins alive against the right attackers, while Kayla’s almost doubles her damage into nearly every tank in the game.

In this breakdown, we run the numbers for both skins at max stats, then look at Astrid’s Masquerade Skin, which costs twice as much as a normal premium skin.

Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin: Release Dates, Cost and Stats

Both skins went exclusive on October 1st and become publicly available on January 1st. Each one costs 55,410 skin stones, which is the standard price for a premium skin.

Skin Stat Bonus Exclusive Public Cost
Aidan Demonic +10,650 Armor Oct 1 Jan 1 55,410 stones
Kayla Demonic +10,650 Armor Penetration Oct 1 Jan 1 55,410 stones

The number is identical on both skins, yet the results could hardly be more different.

How Kayla’s Demonic Skin Changes Her Damage

Kayla is the headline here. At max, she sits at 42,540 Armor Penetration with the skin, compared with 31,890 without it.

To see why that gap matters, it helps to know how penetration works. Penetration subtracts directly from the enemy’s armor, and whatever armor remains decides how much damage gets through. As a result, when a lot of armor is left, every point removed is worth a huge amount.

Kayla vs Rufus and Julius

Rufus sits at 34,090 armor. Without the skin, Kayla gets roughly 58% of her physical damage through. Once she has it, his armor is wiped out entirely, so she lands all of it, which works out to 73% more damage.

Julius is an even bigger swing. With 38,123 armor, he lets only about a third of Kayla’s damage through when she doesn’t have the skin. After the upgrade, however, his armor drops to zero, and she deals roughly three times the damage.

Kayla vs the Heavy Tanks

Against the heavy tanks, the numbers get even more interesting. Chabba sits at about 49,000 armor, and Kayla’s damage into him more than doubles, rising by 112%. Meanwhile, Cleaver, Mushy and Astaroth all land around 52,000 to 53,000 armor, and she deals roughly 80% more damage into each of them. Even Luther and Ziri, the thickest tanks on the list at over 57,000 armor, take about 60% more.

Tank Armor (Max) Kayla’s Physical Damage With Skin
Julius 38,123 ~3x (about +200%)
Chabba ~49,000 +112%
Cleaver, Mushy, Astaroth ~52,000–53,000 ~+80%
Rufus 34,090 +73%
Luther, Ziri 57,000+ ~+60%
Aurora ~19,500 No change
Electra von Grave Converted to Strength No change

The Two Tanks Where It Does Nothing

To be fair, there are two tanks where this skin adds nothing. Aurora has only about 19,500 armor, so Kayla was already ignoring all of it, because Aurora relies on dodge rather than armor to protect herself. Similarly, Electra von Grave converts all of her armor into strength at the start of battle, which leaves nothing to penetrate.

Which of Kayla’s Attacks the Skin Boosts

There’s one more detail worth knowing. Kayla’s Phoenix Glyph burn deals pure damage, and since pure damage ignores armor, the skin does nothing for the burn.

Instead, it boosts her basic attacks, her Glyph explosion at 180% of her physical attack, and her Raging Sparks at 140%. Because those are her biggest hits, that’s exactly where the skin earns its value.

Overall, across ten of the twelve tanks in the game, Kayla’s Demonic Skin raises her physical damage by anywhere from 60% to just over 200%. For a single skin, that is exceptional value.

Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin analysis in Hero Wars Web

Aidan’s Demonic Skin: Where It Helps and Where It Doesn’t

Aidan is where the twins split apart. With the skin, he sits at 28,694 armor, compared with 18,044 without it.

The catch is that penetration works against him too. Any attacker with more than 28,694 Armor Penetration goes through his armor completely, skin or no skin. Kayla herself has 42,540, and Astrid has nearly 55,000, so against attackers like that, Aidan’s extra armor simply isn’t there.

Where Aidan’s Armor Actually Matters

So where does it make a difference? Against physical attackers with no penetration at all, such as Galahad, Aidan takes about a third less physical damage.

The middle zone is where it gets dramatic. Julius has 21,300 Armor Penetration, which is enough to go straight through Aidan’s armor without the skin. With it, however, Aidan takes about 70% less physical damage from Julius.

Attacker Armor Penetration Physical Damage on Aidan With Skin
Galahad None ~33% less
Julius 21,300 ~70% less
Kayla 42,540 No change
Astrid ~55,000 No change

It’s also worth remembering Bonds of Flame. Aidan shares his health with Kayla, so every physical hit he blocks is health Kayla keeps as well. That shared pool is the real reason this skin has value, since it protects both twins at once. Still, it only helps against attackers who don’t already ignore his armor, and because Aidan sits in the back line, most of the physical damage that reaches him comes from high-penetration marksmen.

Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin: The Value Picture

Putting it all together, Kayla’s Demonic Skin is one of the strongest single-skin upgrades we’ve looked at on the channel. It turns most tank matchups from a grind into real damage.

Aidan’s, by contrast, is narrow. It’s strong against low and mid penetration attackers, but completely blank against the heavy hitters most likely to reach him. For accounts investing in the twins, Kayla’s skin is where the value is, while Aidan’s becomes easier to justify once his other skins are already done.

Astrid’s Masquerade Skin: Double the Stats, Double the Price

There’s one more skin on the way, and it’s the strangest of the lot. Astrid and Lucas get a Masquerade Skin that goes exclusive on October 7th and becomes publicly available on April 7th.

It gives +21,300 Magic Defense and +10,650 Power, which is exactly double a normal skin. However, the price doubles too, at 110,520 Agility Skin Stones. In other words, it’s two skins’ worth of stats for two skins’ worth of stones.

At max, Astrid sits at 32,672 Magic Defense with the skin and only 11,372 without it. That’s a huge jump, so let’s see how it holds up against all seventeen mages in the game.

The Twelve Mages It Can’t Stop

Here’s the twist: twelve of the seventeen mages have more than 32,672 Magic Penetration. Lilith, Judge, Cascade, Faceless, Folio, Mojo, Orion, Kai, Lars, Peppy, Celeste and Satori all punch straight through Astrid’s magic defense, with or without the skin. Against them, the skin changes nothing.

The Five Mages It Walls Off

Against the other five, it’s a completely different story. Helios has 14,155 Magic Penetration, enough to go straight through Astrid’s magic defense without the skin. With it, though, she takes about 86% less magic damage from him.

Augustus and Krista both sit around 24,000 penetration, and the skin cuts their magic damage on Astrid by a little over 70%. Heidi and Iris, on the other hand, barely have any penetration, so Astrid already had some protection against them. Even so, the skin still cuts their magic damage by about two thirds.

Mage Magic Penetration Magic Damage on Astrid With Skin
Helios 14,155 ~86% less
Augustus, Krista ~24,000 70%+ less
Heidi, Iris Very low ~66% less
Lilith, Judge, Cascade, Faceless, Folio, Mojo, Orion, Kai, Lars, Peppy, Celeste, Satori Above 32,672 No change

How Much Value Does the Masquerade Skin Offer?

As a result, Astrid’s Masquerade Skin is the most matchup-dependent skin of the three. Against five mages it’s a wall, yet against the other twelve it changes nothing.

Equally important, Astrid is a physical damage dealer first, and she’s far from the strongest hero in the game. Plenty of accounts don’t run her at all, and for them this skin is just a costume. Even for those who do use her, 110,520 stones is the same as maxing two of her offensive skins, such as Romantic for Armor Penetration or Demonic for Physical Attack.

For most accounts, this is the hardest of the three to justify. It makes the most sense when Astrid is a core part of the lineup, her offense is already maxed, and the mages showing up most often are the ones it actually stops.

Final Thoughts

With January and April as the public dates, there’s no pressure to decide on any of these today. The Aidan and Kayla Demonic Skin pair rewards a closer look than the matching art suggests: Kayla’s is a standout damage upgrade, while Aidan’s and Astrid’s both depend heavily on the matchup.
