Hero Wars Mead Festival 2026
The Hero Wars Mead Festival is the introductory event for Robin, the first brand-new pet since Vex. According to the datamine, it starts on Sunday, October 4, 2026 and runs for five days. There are no battle stages and no event boss here. Instead, the whole event runs on quests, a Mead barrel, a shop, and a set of special generators on the Mysterious Island.
Heads up: everything below comes from datamined files, so numbers and mechanics can still shift at launch. Quest rewards, the end conversion, and the battle pass price are hidden for now. We’ll update this page as soon as the event goes live.
How the Hero Wars Mead Festival Works
The loop is simple once you see it. First, you earn Barrel Keys from the Barrel Key generator on the Mysterious Island. Then you open the barrel for 1,000 keys a pull, which drops Asgard Mead, Robin soul stones, and other resources. Finally, you spend Mead in the event shop or on generator upgrades.
Barrel Keys also double as battle pass points, so every pull pushes your pass forward too. Mead, however, is the scarce currency. Because the barrel only drops it 10% of the time, deciding where each Mead goes is the real strategy of this event.
Event Quests
Most quests tie into things you already do every day. In other words, regular play quietly fills them in the background.
Every single quest reward is still hidden in the datamine. That matters a lot, since quests are probably the biggest Mead source, and they’ll decide how far free players can push Robin.
Mysterious Island Generators
This is where the event really happens. Five special generators appear on the October Mysterious Island, each unlocking on a different day. All of them shut down together, so a generator that opens later also runs for a shorter time.
The Barrel Key generator is the engine of the whole festival. You pay Emeralds, and it pays you back in keys across fifteen 8-hour periods. Its five levels cost 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, and 40,000 Emeralds in total, returning 7,500, 15,500, 31,500, 48,500, and 81,500 keys. As a bonus, those Emeralds also count toward the A Generous Soul quest.
Rewards stack, so you don’t need to collect on time, and anything left uncollected arrives by mail when the generators disappear. Timing still matters, though. hwdaily notes that missing a generator’s first period entirely reduces your rewards, which makes a late start on the two-day Robin generator especially costly.
For a level-by-level breakdown of every generator, our Mead Festival Generators planner lets you map out your Emerald, key, and Mead spending in one place. If you still need a route to reach the generators, the October Mysterious Island map covers every tower.
Robin Generator by Level
The first two levels only cost Barrel Keys. From level III onward, each upgrade also asks for Mead, which is where the real trade-off begins.
For comparison, the shop sells 1,000 Robin stones for 20 Mead, which works out to 50 stones per Mead. So every Robin generator upgrade beats the shop on a per-Mead basis, even level V. Keys tell a similar story: 15,000 keys in the barrel average roughly 45 Robin stones and 1.5 Mead, while the same keys in the generator return 495 stones.
Barrel Drops and Odds
Each barrel pull costs 1,000 Barrel Keys. The lots and odds below are official, along with the average haul from 100 pulls.
Put simply, you average about one Mead and 30 Robin stones for every 10,000 keys. That’s exactly why Mead is the bottleneck of this event.
Mead Festival Shop
The shop takes Asgard Mead only. Here are the headline offers, with hwdaily’s emerald-value rating next to each one.
The shop also lists gear items for 1 to 9 Mead, from Book of Prophecies and Panoptic Orb at 1 Mead up to Light of Distant Stars at 8 and Helm of Clear Thoughts at 9. Meanwhile, the Legendary Gift of Dominion stands out at just 11 Mead with one of the best value ratings in the shop.
How Far Can You Take Robin?
Robin needs 710 soul stones for 3 stars, 1,710 for 5 stars, and 3,710 for 6 stars. Here’s how the confirmed sources stack up:
- Robin generator: 495 stones for keys alone, or 1,350 at max level with 12 Mead.
- Shop: 1,000 stones for 20 Mead, purchasable once.
- Barrel: about 3 stones per pull on average.
- Paid battle pass: 100 stones.
- Quest rewards: unknown until launch.
Three stars looks comfortable for almost everyone. Five stars is realistic too, as long as you can find the 12 Mead for a max-level Robin generator. That gets you to 1,350, and roughly 120 barrel pulls cover the remaining 360. Six stars is a different story, however. Even the generator and the shop together only reach 2,350, so the last 1,360 stones depend on quest rewards we can’t see yet. Reaching both of those also takes 32 Mead, which is far more than the barrel alone provides.

There’s a server-wide personal ranking and a guild ranking, although the datamine doesn’t say what they’re scored on. In the personal ranking, first place takes an

Planning Your Mead Festival
With the numbers laid out, a clear picture of where the value sits starts to form.
- Sunday matters most. The Barrel Key generator runs the longest and feeds everything else, so an early start pays off across all five days.
- Keys are worth more on Wednesday. Fifteen thousand keys in the Robin generator return 495 stones, compared with roughly 45 from the barrel. Holding a reserve of keys for Wednesday gets far more out of them.
- The generator beats the shop per Mead. Robin generator upgrades return 60 to 90 stones per Mead, while the shop’s bundle sits at 50. For anyone focused on Robin, generator upgrades are the stronger first use of Mead.
- The other generators compete for the same budget. Chaos Particle, Rune, and Bottled Energy generators each ask for the same 15,000 keys and up to 12 Mead. They make the most sense once your Robin plan is covered.
- Quests fill up through normal play. Energy, Outlands chests, and Explorer’s Moves all count, so your regular routine keeps the quest track moving.
Above all, the Hero Wars Mead Festival rewards patience more than speed. Players who time their keys and treat Mead as the precious resource it is will get the most out of Robin’s arrival.
We’ll update this page with quest rewards and the end conversion once the Hero Wars Mead Festival goes live on October 4, so check back for the final numbers.
