Ancient Awakening Shop Guide | Hero Wars Alliance

Ancient Awakening Shop Guide

This Ancient Awakening Shop Guide breaks down the third and final event of the first week of the Buried Truths Season in Hero Wars Alliance. We already covered Firstborn Force and Unstable Equilibrium earlier in the week, and now everything finally comes together.

Below, we go through all eight Ancient Awakening task lines, share the targets we’re using for a Free to Play account, add up the final resources from all three events, and, most importantly, work out what could actually be worth buying in the Event Shop.

As always, this review is written primarily from a Free to Play perspective. If you’re willing to use more resources or spend more Emeralds, there are obviously opportunities to push further. That’s your decision, though. Our objective is simply to give you a realistic reference.

Metida’s Launch Week: Keep Your Priorities Straight

This is also Metida’s launch week. We’ve already done a huge amount of testing with her, covering different development levels, her Artifacts, her Health Skin and several elemental compositions. So far, Metida is shaping up to be a very interesting Supertitan.

For newer players, however, there’s no need to feel pressured into abandoning your existing Titan development. If you’re still working toward Infinite Dungeon, that remains an extremely important objective for your account. Collect what you reasonably can during her launch, but remember that developing a new Supertitan doesn’t have to happen overnight.

For established Titan accounts, on the other hand, Metida opens up some genuinely interesting possibilities, and we’ve already tested what she can do alongside Fire, Water and Earth. Keep in mind that the Elarite faction isn’t complete yet either. Since the Summoner is still missing, nobody has seen what Metida will look like inside a full Elarite composition. That’s something we’re extremely interested to test when the final piece arrives.

All Eight Ancient Awakening Tasks

There are eight task lines in Ancient Awakening: Log In, Tactical Losses, Trade Route, Heroic Discovery, Secrets of Outland, Beyond Horizon, Firstborn Force and Unstable Equilibrium. Here’s a quick overview of the Free to Play targets we’re using, followed by the reasoning behind each one.

Task Line Requirement Our F2P Target
Log In Log in daily All 7 days
Tactical Losses Lose up to 40,000 Realm troops Not chased
Trade Route Spend Eternal Marks in the Event Shop 190,000 Marks spent
Heroic Discovery Open Heroic Chests 10 chests
Secrets of Outland Open Outland Chests Not included (bonus only)
Beyond Horizon Start Expeditions 42 Expeditions
Firstborn Force Accumulated tasks 290 completed
Unstable Equilibrium Accumulated tasks 50 completed

Log In and Tactical Losses

Log In is as simple as it gets: log in every day across the seven days and collect every reward.

Tactical Losses, by contrast, is a Realm task that requires up to forty thousand of your troops to die. That’s an enormous number, and based on the rewards on offer, we don’t see a reason to deliberately chase it right now. Realm development is still important, and many players are currently limited in how quickly they can replace troops. For that reason, our Free to Play reference doesn’t build any strategy around Tactical Losses.

Trade Route and Heroic Discovery

Trade Route rewards you for spending Eternal Marks in the Event Shop. Because we’re obviously going to use the currency earned throughout the week anyway, we’re targeting the 190,000 Eternal Marks spent milestone. We’ll come back to exactly what you could buy with those Marks further down.

Heroic Discovery requires opening Heroic Chests. For our Free to Play reference, we’re stopping at ten. Going further toward fifteen would require additional Emerald spending, so ten is our cut-off.

Secrets of Outland and Beyond Horizon

There’s an Outland Chest discount running during the event, so players who were already planning to use Emeralds there can combine that spending with event progression. However, our strict Free to Play calculation doesn’t include any additional Outland Chests. Anything you earn here is an extra on top of our baseline.

Beyond Horizon asks you to start Expeditions, and our target is forty-two across the week. If you have Valkyrie’s Favor, completing more of this task becomes considerably easier. Still, forty-two is the number we’re using for the Free to Play calculation.

Firstborn Force and Unstable Equilibrium

Finally, we arrive at the two accumulated task lines. As explained in our first guide, our Firstborn Force target is 290 completed tasks. You don’t need to finish absolutely everything, since 290 already gives a very good return without forcing unnecessary resource spending.

Similarly, our Unstable Equilibrium target is fifty completed tasks. Again, this should be a very reasonable objective, and it adds another strong collection of resources to the pile.

Ancient Awakening Shop Guide Hero Wars Alliance Event Shop and 235,350 Eternal Marks

Final F2P Resources From All Three Events

Now let’s put everything together. If you followed our recommendations across Firstborn Force, Unstable Equilibrium and Ancient Awakening, this is our final Free to Play reference:

Currency F2P Total
Eternal Marks 235,350
Adventure Coins 35,650
Season Pass Trophies 1,205

That’s a substantial amount of currency. So now comes the important question: what do we actually buy?

Ancient Awakening Shop Guide: What to Buy

The Ancient Awakening Event Shop is heavily focused on Titans, but it also includes two very interesting Hero resources: Relic Shards for Cascade and Satori. Depending on your account, these can represent excellent value. The right choice really comes down to which of the three account types below best describes you.

Account Type Strongest Shop Options
Hero-focused Cascade and Satori Relic Shards
Newer / midgame Titan Titan Potions and Titan Skin Stones
Established Titan Metida’s Primordial Skin, Chthonic Balance Seal fragments, Soul Stones (with care), Pallant/Orm Artifact fragments

Hero-Focused Accounts

If Heroes are your primary focus, the decision is relatively simple. Cascade and Satori Relic Shards rank extremely highly among our options. Rather than forcing Titan development you don’t currently need, you can use this event to keep strengthening your Hero roster.

Newer and Midgame Titan Accounts

For newer and midgame accounts focused heavily on Titans, the picture is different. If you’re still building toward Infinite Dungeon, Titan Potions and Titan Skin Stones can remain extremely valuable.

Metida is exciting, and there’s nothing wrong with collecting resources for her now. Even so, you don’t need to sacrifice your entire existing development plan just because a new Supertitan has arrived. Build your account according to where you actually are.

Established Titan Accounts

This is where Metida becomes much more interesting. The shop includes her base Primordial Skin for 100,000 Eternal Marks. Her Skin+, meanwhile, costs 400,000, which is well beyond the 235,350 Eternal Marks in our Free to Play reference.

Metida Soul Stones are also available, but thirty Soul Stones for 18,000 Eternal Marks is a significant investment. Think carefully about how much value those Soul Stones provide for your particular account before committing a large portion of your currency.

In addition, Chthonic Balance Seal fragments are on offer, and these contribute directly toward developing Metida’s Artifact. There are also Artifact fragments for Pallant and Orm. Whether those are valuable depends entirely on how developed those Titans already are and which compositions you’re building.

Should You Skip Metida’s Health Skin?

We’ve already heard the argument that Metida’s Health Skin should simply be avoided. The reasoning is that extra Health can slow down Energy generation from incoming damage and potentially delay Crystal Vortex.

After our testing, however, we don’t agree with dismissing it outright. We ran Metida without the Skin, at different stages of development and further developed, while also changing her Artifact level alongside those tests.

What became clear is that Metida isn’t simply a Supertitan waiting to activate Crystal Vortex. In fact, she’s a Control Titan whose Supreme Harmony changes what the entire composition can do. With Fire she adds healing, Earth gains Speed, and Water receives Physical Attack. Eventually, when the Summoner arrives, we’ll finally be able to see how her complete Elarite interaction comes together.

For Metida to keep providing that value, she needs to stay on the battlefield. Therefore, based on our testing so far, we believe her Health Skin is important. That doesn’t mean every account should immediately spend 100,000 Eternal Marks on it, because your priorities still depend on your account. But we certainly wouldn’t dismiss the Skin just because additional Health may affect the timing of Crystal Vortex. There’s much more happening with Metida than her ultimate alone.

Where Elarite Stands Right Now

One particularly important thing to remember with Elarite is that the faction still isn’t complete. Because the Summoner hasn’t arrived, we’re not going to pretend we already know exactly where a full Elarite team will eventually sit in the Titan meta.

Metida has already shown some extremely interesting possibilities across the existing Elements. Once the Summoner finally arrives and everything becomes connected, that’s when we’ll be able to properly test what a complete Elarite composition can really do.

Final Thoughts

That wraps up our Ancient Awakening Shop Guide and our final look at this first group of events in the Buried Truths Season. Remember the most important rule with events like this: just because a task exists doesn’t mean you have to complete it. Weigh the reward against what it costs you, consider where your account currently is, and then decide whether that exchange actually makes sense for you.

For our Free to Play reference, we’re finishing this series with 235,350 Eternal Marks, 35,650 Adventure Coins and 1,205 Season Pass Trophies. Now use those resources where they actually strengthen your account.

Also, our complete How to Build Metida guide is coming very soon, based on all of the testing we’ve done with her development, Artifacts and Skin. If you have any questions about Ancient Awakening, Metida or the Event Shop, drop them in the comments or bring them to our Discord. Stay tuned, stay sharp, and as always, salute and friendship.
