New Eva Hydra Guide | Hero Wars Alliance
Welcome to this New Eva Hydra Guide, where we skip the theory and go straight to real battle results. Ever since Eva arrived, Guardians have been asking the same question: how does she actually perform against Hydras? To answer it properly, we ran her through all six Hydra Heads and tracked exactly how much damage she produced in each fight.
There is no complicated theory-crafting here and no endless team-building debate. Instead, we focused on two things that genuinely matter: how the team behaved under each Hydra’s mechanics, and how hard Eva actually hit. As you will see below, the results are surprisingly consistent.
The Team Behind Every Test
For almost every Hydra, we kept the same core composition: Eva, Yasmine, Jhu, Sebastian and Julius. Keeping the lineup stable was deliberate, because it let us compare Eva’s output cleanly from one element to the next without a dozen variables muddying the picture.
There was only one exception. Against Wind, we swapped Julius out for Andvari to test a different tank, and that single change ended up mattering a lot. We will come back to that fight later, but keep it in mind as the numbers roll in.
The Numbers Behind This New Eva Hydra Guide
Before we break down each fight individually, here is the full scoreboard. Every clear used the core team, and in five of the six battles Eva finished as the biggest damage dealer. The one outlier, as noted, ran a different tank.
*The Wind test replaced Julius with Andvari, so its result is not directly comparable to the other five.
Fire: The Highest Result
The Fire Hydra leans entirely on Physical Damage. Its Elemental Breath hits physically, applies Burn, reduces Armor, and keeps ticking damage over time. Despite all that pressure, the team held together beautifully and Eva stayed protected and active throughout.
The payoff was enormous. Eva alone dealt 139,598,394 damage, while Yasmine chipped in over 48 million and Jhu added another 25 million. Together the team pushed through the full 220,606,896 damage and cleared the head outright, making Fire our single best Eva result of the entire run.
Darkness: A Very Close Second
Darkness deals Magic Damage with both its basics and its Breath, and it also applies Cursed Flame to block healing. Normally that is a mechanic you have to respect, since cutting off healing can quietly collapse a team’s survivability.
Eva, however, barely seemed to notice. She landed 134,725,132 damage for our second-highest result, backed by Yasmine on 51 million and Jhu on 28 million. As with Fire, the head fell to a complete clear.
Light: Clean and Effortless
The Light Hydra swings to Magic Damage on its basics, while its Breath deals Pure Damage and applies Blind to cut Accuracy. On paper, that Blind looks threatening for a physical carry like Eva.
In practice, though, it was one of the smoothest fights we had. Eva produced 126,246,237 damage, Yasmine reached 61 million, and Jhu added 26 million on the way to another full clear with no awkward adjustments.
Earth: Stun Couldn’t Stop Her
Earth uses Physical Damage on both its basics and Breath, but its signature threat is the Stun, which can catch the first hero and nearby allies in a small area. For a carry who needs time to aim, that timing disruption could have been a real problem.
Even so, Eva still delivered 120,411,609 damage. With Yasmine adding 65 million and Jhu another 27 million, the team once again reached the full 220,606,896 for a clean clear.
Water: Distance Works in Her Favor
Water also deals Physical Damage, and its Breath grows more dangerous the closer a hero stands to the Hydra while applying a strong Slow. Interestingly, that mechanic actually suits Eva, because she naturally wants to sit far back anyway.
The fight confirmed it. Eva dealt 112,870,883 damage, which was still more than half of the entire team’s output, while Yasmine posted a strong 72 million and Jhu added 29 million. Despite the Slow, this was yet another confident clear.
Wind: The One That Slipped Away
Wind is where the run finally broke. Its basics deal Physical Damage, but the Breath switches to Magic Damage, shoves heroes backward, pushes the first target even farther, and layers on a strong Slow. On top of that, this was the fight where we swapped Julius for Andvari.
The outcome was noticeably worse. The team managed 158,457,469 total damage, which was not enough for the clear, and Yasmine actually overtook Eva as top dealer with 74,480,537. Eva slipped to just 41,218,580, while Jhu landed a little over 36 million.
Still, I would be cautious about blaming Wind itself. Because we changed the tank at the same time, we cannot cleanly separate the element from the composition. Julius anchored all five successful clears, so it is very possible Eva would have performed far better with him back in the lineup. For that reason, Wind deserves a proper retest with the original team before any firm conclusion.
So, Is Eva a Hydra Queen?
Pulling it all together, this New Eva Hydra Guide points to a clear answer: yes, Eva is genuinely excellent against Hydras. She topped 139 million against Fire, 134 million against Darkness, and stayed comfortably above 112 million everywhere else, all while shrugging off Burn, Slow, Stun, Blind, healing blocks and armor reduction.
More importantly, this is not one lucky number against a single favorable matchup. Across five very different Hydra mechanics she delivered huge, consistent damage and finished as the top dealer every time. That consistency is exactly what makes a carry worth building for the long haul.
There is still testing left to do, especially against Wind, and other compositions may well push these totals even higher. Even so, if you have been eyeing Eva and wondering whether she earns a spot in your Hydra roster, this New Eva Hydra Guide says the answer is a confident yes. With the right team around her, she can absolutely tear Hydra Heads apart.
