Rune Storm Review Update | Hero Wars Alliance
Welcome to our Rune Storm Review, Guardians — and this month brings a couple of changes worth knowing before you start grinding. The event returns for a second straight month, once again dropping Rune Stones, Rune Spheres, Artifact Coins, Realm resources, and those valuable red equipment recipe fragments. However, the bigger story is what shifted since last time, so let’s break it all down.
A Quick Word Before the Breakdown
Many of us still remember events like Runic Milestones and Alliance of Forces. Those felt genuinely rewarding because simply playing and progressing naturally made every player — free-to-play or spender — feel like they were earning meaningful progress. In short, they gave a real sense of accomplishment and made each season feel a little more generous.
Rune Storm definitely has rewards worth collecting, and we’ll show you exactly how to squeeze the most out of them today. That said, plenty of players still miss those older events, and honestly, we completely get why. Hopefully Nexters keeps improving these newer events over time, because we’d love to see them become even more rewarding for everyone.
Personally, we’re not overly confident we’ll see major changes anytime soon. Still, like every player, we’d be happy to be proven wrong. Unfortunately, the rewards that Runic Milestones and Alliance of Forces once offered are no longer part of our seasonal rotation — so let’s focus on extracting every bit of value from what we actually have.
Rune Storm Event Overview
This month’s Rune Storm runs for three days, beginning on June 24th, and contains eight different objective chains that reward you as you progress. Naturally, the primary rewards stay similar to last month’s version. Throughout the event you’ll earn Rune Stones, Rune Spheres, Artifact Coins, Realm Resources, Realm Speedups, and those red equipment recipe fragments.
This month’s featured recipes are Viper Kiss and Whisper Ring. Viper Kiss is an important item for heroes like Dante, Peech, Qing Mao, and Yasmine. Meanwhile, Whisper Ring is used by several Agility-based heroes, which makes both fragments valuable additions for a wide range of accounts.
All 8 Objectives at a Glance
Here’s the full objective list with what each one asks of you and the key rewards on offer. After the table, we’ll dig into the standout tasks and the timing tricks that double your value.
The First Three Objectives
First up is Dominion Calls. Simply log in every day during the event to collect Rune Stones, Season Pass Points, and Manuals used to upgrade specific Realm Skills. It’s the easiest progress you’ll make all event.
Next comes Wise Exchange. Here you’ll earn rewards for spending Emeralds, with milestones reaching all the way up to 150,000. Along the way you’ll bank Rune Stones, Season Pass Points, Artifact Coins, and various Realm Resources.
The third objective is Mark of Honor, which rewards you for earning VIP Points up to a 10,000 milestone. Completing these grants Viper Kiss fragments, Rune Stones, and additional Realm Resources.
The Gameplay Objectives
Now we get into the meatier tasks. Price of Power rewards you for spending Hero Skin Stones, up to a maximum of 100,000. In return you’ll pick up Rune Stones, both featured recipe fragments, Season Pass Points, Rune Spheres, and Realm Speedups.
One quick recommendation: if possible, spend your Hero Skin Stones on Friday, June 26th. Why? Because they’ll also count toward your Guild VS progress, letting you maximize rewards across both systems at once.
After that comes Beyond Horizon, which rewards you for sending your Airship on Expeditions, capped at 20 runs. Rewards include Rune Stones, Season Pass Points, Artifact Coins, Viper Kiss fragments, Rune Spheres, and Realm Resource Packs. To clear every milestone, though, you’ll need either Valkyrie’s Favor or VIP Level 8 — both unlock additional daily expeditions.
Then we reach one of the strongest objectives in the whole event: Energy Burst. Players earn rewards by spending Energy, with milestones reaching 4,500. Crucially, unlike every other category, this objective repeats multiple times — making it virtually unlimited if you’ve stockpiled enough Energy Bottles. Expect Rune Stones, Artifact Coins, Rune Spheres, Whisper Ring fragments, and plenty of Realm Resources. And remember, spending Energy on Wednesday, June 24th also feeds your Guild VS points.

The newest addition this month is Titan Forge. This objective rewards you for collecting Titanite in the Dungeon, up to 800 total. Complete the milestones and you’ll bank Rune Stones, Artifact Coins, Rune Spheres, and Viper Kiss fragments.
Finally, there’s Payback Time. You complete it by defeating up to 25 World Map bosses. Importantly, helping your guildmates with their boss fights also counts toward your progress, which makes this objective far easier than it first looks.
What Changed This Month?
The one notable change this month is the introduction of Titan Forge. To make room for it, March of the Victors has been removed completely. As a result, training Infantry units no longer contributes to your Rune Storm progress — so adjust your resource planning accordingly.
⏱️ Timing cheat sheet: Dump Energy on Wed, June 24th and Hero Skin Stones on Fri, June 26th so they double-dip into Guild VS. Lean on Energy Burst (repeatable) for the biggest haul, and tag your guildmates’ World Map bosses to clear Payback Time faster.
Final Thoughts on This Rune Storm Review
While many of us still remember Runic Milestones and Alliance of Forces fondly, these are the events we have today. Therefore, the smart move is to understand them, plan our resources wisely, and pull as much value as possible from every objective on the board. Hopefully this Rune Storm Review gives you a clear plan for doing exactly that.
