This Summer Festival Shop Guide breaks down every single item in the Hero Wars Web Summer Festival Shop — what to grab with your Summer Festival Coins, what to leave sitting on the shelf, and which purchases only make sense for a specific hero build. The Summer Festival Shop only sticks around for 24 hours after the event ends, so any Coins you have not spent by then are gone — spend with a plan, not in a panic on the last day.

Some purchases here are one-time only, others you can buy repeatedly for as long as your Coins hold out. The table below covers every item at a glance, and the sections underneath explain the reasoning so you can make the call yourself if your account situation is unusual.

The Auto-Buys — Get These First

These are the purchases with no real downside. Buy them before you spend a single Coin on anything below.

Large Skin Stone Chest (25x · 1 Coins)

No debate here. Twenty-five Skin Stone Chests for a single Coin is one of the strongest ratios in the entire shop, and Skin Stones never go to waste — they feed straight into hero skin upgrades across your whole roster. Buy every time you have a spare Coin.

Great Enchantment Rune (50x · 1 Coins)

Same story. Enchantment Runes are needed constantly to level up hero enchantments, and fifty Runes for one Coin is excellent value that holds up no matter what stage of the game you’re at.

Chaos Core (20x · 1 Coins)

A core artifact-upgrade material at a cheap rate. If you’re actively pushing artifact levels on any hero, this is an easy repeat buy.

Book of Tales (4x · 1 Coins)

Cheap and efficient — this has historically graded out as one of the better value items in similar event shops. Grab it alongside your other auto-buys.

Absolute Artifact Chest (1,000x · 40 Coins)

The single best use of Coins for artifact progression in this shop. Skip Flawless Artifact Chest entirely and get this instead — Absolute converts into Flawless later, so there’s no reason to buy the lesser version directly.

Gift of Dominion (1x · 18 Coins)

A top-tier one-time purchase. Buy this before spending on anything situational.

Legendary Gift of Dominion (1x · 11 Coins)

Same tier as the standard Gift of Dominion — grab both early before you start allocating Coins elsewhere.

Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere (1x · 70 Coins)

Pricey, but it’s grouped with the other top-tier one-time buys for a reason. Worth the Coins.

Skip These

These purchases sound tempting but consistently underperform compared to what else is on offer.

Huge Exp Potion (300x · 1 Coins)

A hard pass. If your main heroes are already near max level, these barely move the needle, and you’re spending premium event currency on a problem most established accounts don’t actually have.

Flawless Artifact Chest (60x · 1 Coins)

Skip in favor of Absolute Artifact Chest. Since Absolute converts into Flawless anyway, buying Flawless directly just locks you out of that flexibility for no benefit.

Key to All Doors (1x · 4 Coins)

Better sourced by picking up its components through other events instead of spending Coins on it directly here.

Chaos Particles (750x · 1 Coins)

Skip.

Pet Soul Chest (12x · 1 Coins)

Skip.

Golden Thread (3,750x · 15 Coins)

Skip — not worth the Coin cost relative to the other one-time purchases available.

Situational — Buy Only If You Need It

Not a blanket yes or no. These depend on where your account actually is.

Elemental Catalyst / Primal Catalyst (200x / 500x · 40 / 40 Coins)

Cover the Gifts of Dominion and the Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere first, then pick up Catalysts as needed based on what you’re actually short on. Not a priority buy, but not a bad one either once your top-tier purchases are covered.

Lesser Hero Soul Stone Chest (5 · 2 Coins)

Each chest gives 50 Soul Stones of a non-exclusive or newer hero. Good buy if you’re actively unlocking or leveling that specific hero — skip it if your roster is already covered.

Bottled Energy (15 · 1 Coins)

Depends entirely on your account. If you’re already swimming in Energy from events like Hero Tournament of Power or Area of Conquest, spend your Coins elsewhere. If not, this is a perfectly reasonable pickup.

Wish Crystal / Wish Insignia (250x / 170x · 1 / 1 Coins)

Premium ascension resources used for hero stat refinement. Buy if you actually need them for upcoming ascension work — otherwise there are usually better uses for the Coin.

Titan Skin Stone / Essence of the Elements / Titan Potion (18,000 / 50,000 / 25,000 · 1 / 1 / 1 Coins)

Titan-side resources that future Titan-focused events will naturally refill. Default to diversifying your Coins elsewhere, but if you’re actively rushing a specific Titan right now, these are fine to pick up as needed.

Premium Gear — Only Buy For the Build That Needs It

This block of the shop is all hero equipment, and equipment is hero- and stat-specific by design. There’s no blanket “always buy” or “always skip” answer here — each piece only matters if the exact hero and build you’re running actually calls for it. Check what your current build needs before spending Coins on any of these, since a piece that’s a must-have for one hero can be dead weight for another.

Farm These Instead

These are all obtainable through the Campaign grind, so treat the shop copy as a convenience, not a must-buy. Fine to pick up if you have leftover Coins after everything above, but there’s no rush.

Panoptic Orb (1x · 1 Coins)

Grindable from the Campaign map, so the shop isn’t your only shot at this one.

Staff of Morana’s Nimbus (1x · 1 Coins)

Same as Panoptic Orb — farmable from Campaign.

Book of Prophecies (2x · 1 Coins)

Farmable from Campaign as well. Lower priority than the Auto-Buys above.

Book of Fate (2x · 3 Coins)

Same logic — grindable elsewhere, so it isn’t urgent to spend Coins on it here.

Solar Skins — Skip the Direct Buy

Every one of the 19 Solar Skins costs 2 Summer Festival Coins. On the surface that looks cheap for an exclusive-looking skin — but the math says otherwise.

Solar Skins are no longer exclusive to this event, since they can be unlocked normally with Skin Stones instead. A skin costs 5,000 Skin Stones to unlock the normal way. Now compare that to spending the same 2 Coins on Large Skin Stone Chests: at 25 chests per Coin, 2 Coins gets you 50 chests — 7,500 Skin Stones. That’s enough to unlock the skin through the normal system and have 2,500 Skin Stones left over, for the exact same 2 Coins. Buying the Solar Skin directly is strictly the worse trade.

Same 2 Coins, same skin, plus 2,500 spare Skin Stones. Route your Coins through the Skin Stone Chests instead of the direct skin purchase, for every hero on this list:

Honey Casket

Honey Casket (20x · 1 Coins)

Any Honey Energy and Summer Festival Coins you haven’t spent by the time the event ends get automatically converted into Honey Caskets, which contain random rewards like avatars and avatar frames. Since that conversion happens automatically anyway, buying Honey Caskets directly during the event isn’t about getting something you couldn’t get otherwise — it’s really just a way to spend down small amounts of leftover Coin at the very end of the event instead of letting the conversion handle it for you. Not a priority buy, but a fine way to burn off a stray Coin or two you have no other use for.

Honey Casket also has a nesting effect — opening one can reward you with more Honey Caskets inside, so your count can climb before it comes back down as you keep opening them. We can’t give exact drop rates, but here’s the full pool of what can come out of one:

Summerfest Chest

Summerfest Chest isn’t a shop purchase — it’s a Golden Ticket (Battle Pass) reward. Once you pass level 31, F2P players earn 1 Summerfest Chest for every extra level gained, while Golden Ticket buyers earn 5 extra chests per level on top of that. It has no nesting effect, so what you see is exactly what you get. Each Summerfest Chest contains:
