Unbroken Bond Resource Guide

This Unbroken Bond Resource Guide breaks down every task in the second chapter of the Balance of Power event in Hero Wars Alliance, so you know exactly where your resources are worth spending. Yesterday we covered Defiant Edge, and next up is Gear of Glory, where we’ll also share our event shop recommendations.

This week has some genuinely interesting rewards on the table, including Mushy and Shroom’s Super Skin, Dorian and Phobos Relic Shards, and another chance at Jhu’s Super Skin. However, keep one detail in mind before you start: this event runs for only six days instead of seven, so planning your resources matters even more than usual.

As always, our recommendations focus on what Free-to-Play players can realistically achieve. If you have extra resources available, you can certainly aim higher.

Why 35 Tasks Is the Target

Unbroken Bond features eight task categories, and our recommended target is roughly 35 completed tasks. The reason is simple: that milestone in Gear of Glory rewards Jorgen’s Demonic Skin, which makes it an attractive objective without demanding an extreme investment.

Beyond that point, the major rewards get considerably harder to reach. Mushy’s Cybernetic Skin requires 65 completed tasks, while her second Talisman, featuring Toughness and Magic Critical Hit Chance, sits at 75. For most Free-to-Play players, those milestones are difficult to justify.

Gear of Glory Milestone Tasks Required F2P Verdict
Jorgen’s Demonic Skin 35 Realistic target
Mushy’s Cybernetic Skin 65 Hard to justify
Mushy’s 2nd Talisman (Toughness / Magic Crit) 75 Hard to justify

Unbroken Bond Task Targets at a Glance

Here’s the full plan before we go through each category in detail.

Task Category F2P Target
Daily Login All 6 days
VIP Points 0 (no spending assumed)
Emerald Spending 1,000 Emeralds
Troop Training Speedups Excluded (optional, up to 4,800 min)
Titan Summoning ~100 Summoning Spheres
Titan Skin Stones ~150,000
Tower Chests 77 (66 free + 11 extra)
Realm Troop Losses ~22,000

The Easy Tasks: Login, VIP and Emeralds

The first two categories are straightforward. Log in every day across the six-day event to collect your rewards. For VIP points, our calculations assume zero spending, because there’s no reason to change your spending habits just to complete an event task.

Next comes Emerald spending, where our suggested target is 1,000 Emeralds. With no particularly attractive major sales expected during this event, we don’t see a strong case for spending large amounts just to push this task forward.

Of course, if you already have an important upgrade planned, that’s a different situation. The goal is to make your Emeralds work for your account rather than letting them disappear into an event milestone.

Troop Training Speedups: Why We Exclude Them

Now we reach one of the more controversial categories. This Realm task rewards up to 4,800 minutes of training speedups, but many players are already above their troop capacity, ourselves included. For those accounts, completing it may simply be unrealistic, which is why we’ve left it out of our Free-to-Play calculations.

That said, if you still have troops available to train or promote, there’s an opportunity here. Save those speedups for Day 5 of Guild Versus, when the same resources can progress both objectives. It’s an easy efficiency gain that costs nothing extra.

Titan Summoning: Rebuild Your Reserves

Unlike some previous events, this task isn’t daily, so you can complete its milestones at any point during the six days. That flexibility is excellent, since it lets you line up your Summoning Spheres with Day 1 of Guild Versus.

Our recommendation is to use roughly 100 Summoning Spheres. We’ve had several recent events requiring daily Titan summons, so rebuilding your reserves is important. In addition, similar tasks could always return, and spending everything now may leave you short later.

Unbroken Bond Resource Guide Hero Wars Alliance task targets

Titan Skin Stones and Jhu’s Super Skin

This category deserves some attention. Jhu’s Super Skin is available as a milestone reward, but it requires spending 500,000 Titan Skin Stones, and completing the entire task chain takes an even larger 750,000. Those are substantial amounts, Guardians.

Our suggested Free-to-Play target is about 150,000 Titan Skin Stones. Jhu’s Super Skin is certainly worth considering if you specifically want it, especially since these opportunities don’t come around often. However, Jhu hasn’t been a major Arena meta hero for quite some time, and his main relevance today is in Hydra battles and certain Realm Boss situations.

So the decision comes down to your priorities. If Jhu plays an important role in your account and you’ve been saving for this moment, chasing the skin can make sense. Otherwise, preserving your Titan Skin Stones is likely the more balanced approach.

Tower Chests: The One Push Worth Making

Tower Chests are where we’re recommending a slightly different strategy this time. Normally, collecting your eleven free chests each day is enough for a sensible Free-to-Play approach. With only six days available, though, that gives you 66 chests, while the next milestone requires 77.

In other words, you only need eleven additional chests across the entire event. Considering the extra Adventure Energy, Season Pass Trophies and event currency on offer, we believe this milestone deserves consideration. Plan your Tower runs carefully and decide whether those extra chests fit your available resources.

Realm Troop Losses

Finally, we have the Realm troop-loss task, with a maximum requirement of 35,000 troops lost during the event. That’s a considerable number, particularly when you weigh the extra effort against the rewards, so we recommend aiming for about 22,000 troop losses instead.

Most active Realm players should make solid progress through regular Elite Boss raids and World Map battles. If you still need more losses, coordinate that activity with Day 6 of Guild Versus to benefit from both objectives. Just manage your Infirmary capacity carefully, because there’s no reason to create unnecessary losses or compromise your Realm progress for one more milestone.

Our Unbroken Bond Resource Guide Verdict

Overall, we believe roughly 35 completed tasks is a sensible target for many Free-to-Play players. Following the approach above, our projected rewards are:

  • 37,850 Balance Sigils
  • 2,500 Adventure Coins
  • 125 Season Pass Trophies

These are planning estimates, and your results will depend on the resources and opportunities available to your account. More importantly, not every task needs to be completed. Some milestones offer excellent value, while others demand a much larger investment for relatively limited extra rewards, and that’s exactly where planning makes the difference.
