Gear and Glory Event Analysis | Hero Wars Alliance
This Gear and Glory Event Analysis completes the full picture of Balance of Power in Hero Wars Alliance, because Gear & Glory is the third and final piece that ties the whole thing together. Unlike the first two events, it doesn’t drop a brand-new pile of tasks on you. Instead, it reaches back into the progress you already made through Defiant Edge and Unbroken Bond, then attaches fresh rewards on top of it. As a result, some of the most eye-catching prizes of the week — Peech equipment, her Mystical Skin, and her second Talisman — are sitting behind work you’ve already been doing.
Naturally, that raises the big question: how far should you actually go to claim them? Before we break anything down, here’s where Olympus Alliance stands. We’ll show you the requirements, analyse the tasks, and explain exactly where every reward comes from. However, we will never tell you how much money to spend, and we’ll never insist that you burn valuable resources like Emeralds just to reach a particular milestone. That’s your account, your budget, and your decision — our job is simply to hand you the information you need to make it.
Why Gear & Glory Works Differently
The structure of Balance of Power becomes obvious the moment you open Gear & Glory. Rather than tracking a fresh activity, it counts the quests you’ve already completed inside Defiant Edge and Unbroken Bond. As those totals climb, extra progression tracks unlock here and pay out additional loot. So the more naturally you pushed through the first two events, the closer you already are to these bonus rewards — without doing anything new at all.
Day After Day: The Simplest Track
As always, the login track is the easy one. There’s no resource decision involved here — you simply log in throughout the event, tick the task along, and collect what’s on offer. The payouts include:
- Event Coins
- Artifact Chests
- Rune Stones
- Brawl Tokens
The Defiant Edge Objective & Peech’s Gloves
Here’s where the connected design really shows. Every qualifying quest you finished in Defiant Edge feeds this track, and the rewards stack up steadily along the way:
One milestone immediately jumps off the page, though. At 290 completed tasks, you unlock Peech’s Red Gear Gloves recipe — and this is precisely where we separate information from recommendation. We can confirm the Gloves are there and that 290 completions is the requirement. Still, look at what Defiant Edge actually contains: some progress flows from normal gameplay, while other progress can involve VIP Points, Emeralds, or resources that may be extremely valuable to your account.
For that reason, we won’t map out a route and then tell every Guardian to spend a specific number of Emeralds to grab them. For one player, pushing toward 290 might sit comfortably inside plans they already had. For another, that same number could demand resources they absolutely don’t want to touch. Same reward, completely different decision — and that decision belongs to you.
The Unbroken Bond Objective: Skin & Second Talisman
The exact same principle carries over to the Unbroken Bond track. Each qualifying quest you completed there contributes to this progression, and once again you’ll pick up a familiar spread of rewards on the way up:
Those last two are the ones that will draw the crowd. If you’ve been following our Peech coverage, you already know why that second Talisman matters — Critical Hit Chance feeds directly into her offensive development, and her systems start to snowball once they come together. Even so, an attractive reward doesn’t automatically answer whether it’s worth spending whatever’s needed to reach it. We can explain where the Talisman sits and what it does for Peech; what we can’t do is decide what your Emeralds or your money are worth to you. If your natural progression already lands you near a milestone, weigh the remaining requirement and choose. If it demands far more investment, run that same calculation against your own comfort level. There’s no shame in stopping, and no rule that says every account must finish an event.
The Event Shop: Prioritise Relics
There is one area where our advice gets much more direct: spending the event currency you’ve already earned. Our priority stays the same as always — Relics come first. As a major progression system tied straight to hero development, Relic Shards are the reward we chase before anything else whenever they appear in an event shop. After that, the best pick depends far more on your individual account’s needs. And notice the difference here: advising you on how to spend currency you already have is a completely different thing from telling you to buy more of it with real money or Emeralds. That line is a core part of how we analyse events.
Final Verdict: Gear and Glory Event Analysis
So after three parts, what’s the verdict on Balance of Power? Deliberately, we’re not labelling it amazing or terrible, because an event like this simply doesn’t produce the same experience for every account. What the data does show is a clean three-layer structure: Defiant Edge sets one batch of objectives, Unbroken Bond sets another, and Gear & Glory then bolts extra rewards onto how many of those tasks you cleared. That design creates multiple layers of progression, and how valuable each layer is to you comes down to how naturally you can reach it.
Ultimately, that’s the takeaway we want you to leave this Gear and Glory Event Analysis with. Don’t only ask, “What’s the final reward?” Instead, ask, “What does reaching that reward require from my account?” If Peech’s Gloves mean pushing further, work out what that costs you. If the Mystical Skin is the goal, measure the gap between your current progress and that milestone. And if the path runs through VIP Points or heavy Emerald spending, the final call is yours — not ours. We analyse, we test, we explain, and we hand you the data. The choice, however, always stays with you.
