Eva Event Shop Guide | Hero Wars Dominion Era
This Eva Event Shop Guide ranks every purchase in the Freedom Protocol shop, so you know exactly where your Sapphire Medallions belong before the event closes. New hero events are some of the most generous in Dominion, yet the shop is where most players quietly lose value. Clearing every chapter is only half the job, because what you do with the Medallions afterward decides how much the event is really worth.
There is also a twist this time. A big chunk of the gear on these shelves sits directly on Eva’s own upgrade path, so if you picked her up, several verdicts shift in your favor. We’ll set up one quick rule first, and it will do most of the sorting for us.
What’s Different in the Eva Event
Freedom Protocol follows the usual new hero formula, but it isn’t a copy of the Somna event. For starters, the main story is shorter: six chapters instead of seven, so the Medallion total from chapters drops from 37 to 35. The Altar of Fate is also slightly cheaper to open, at 2,700 Valor Coins instead of 2,800.
The bigger change is the new Abyssal Seal system. Every chapter now hands out Abyssal Seals, which act as entry fees for three extra Archdemon chapters. You can attempt the first one for free as often as you like, whereas the second costs 2 seals and the third costs 4, with ranking rewards for the top 20 players. Any seals you don’t use convert into 7 Hero Resource Chests each when the event ends.
Finally, the shop itself got reshuffled. Shadow Queen’s Scythes, Insatiable Wing and Apostle’s Mace are gone. In their place, you’ll find Siege Crossbows, Swords of Thorns and Unity of Extremes, while several familiar items changed price. We’ll flag each of those as we go.
The Exchange Rate: Why Unspent Medallions Matter
Before you buy anything, you need to know what happens to the Medallions you don’t spend. When Freedom Protocol ends, every leftover Sapphire Medallion converts into 10 Hero Resource Chests. Each of those is a choice chest, so you pick one reward per chest: 2 Bottled Energy, 30 Huge EXP Potions, 2 Large Skin Stone Chests, 3 Absolute Artifact Chests, 2 Chaos Cores, 10 Rare Enchantment Runes, 15 Wish Insignias, 25 Wish Crystals or 2 million gold.
That exchange rate quietly sets a floor under every purchase. Multiply each option by ten, and you’ll see that several shop items are merely matched by the conversion, while one is beaten outright:
In other words, buying Bottled Energy in the shop is now a mistake, since the conversion hands you 20 bottles per Medallion instead of 15. The tied items gain nothing from an early purchase either, and waiting keeps your options open until you know what your account actually needs. Unused Abyssal Seals follow the same idea, converting into 7 Hero Resource Chests each.
The 4,000 Energy Rule
Now turn that exchange rate into a benchmark. Each Bottled Energy holds 200 Energy, so the 20 bottles a Medallion converts into add up to 4,000 Energy. That is the real price of every item here: a one-Medallion purchase costs 4,000 Energy you could have claimed at the end instead, and a two-Medallion item costs 8,000. With offers ranging from one to five Medallions, that translation is what separates a bargain from a trap.
Here’s how to use that number. When grinding an item yourself would eat well over its Medallion price in Energy, the shop is the cheaper route. On the other hand, when the grind costs about the same or less, keep your Medallions and farm it. There’s a hidden bonus on the farming side too: Energy spent while other events are running feeds their progress as well, which is something no shop purchase can do.
Raids change the picture as well. A player who clears missions one run at a time pays for every drop in hours, while someone with multi raid unlocked can burn through the same grind in minutes. That’s why one account can shrug off a farm that another would dread. Factor in how fast you can actually clear missions before you file any item as a buy or a skip.
How Many Medallions Will You Actually Have?
Before ranking anything, know your budget. Chapter rewards hand out 1, 2, 2, 10, 10 and 10 Medallions across the six chapters, for 35 in total. Without spending money, though, chapter 4 is realistically the ceiling. That means roughly 15 Medallions from chapters, plus 4 from the free track of Eva’s Path and whatever the Altar of Fate drops along the way. Meanwhile, the paid track adds another 20.
That is a tight budget for a shop with 24 offers. Consequently, every Medallion spent on a weak item is one you can’t put toward the pieces that genuinely move your account forward.
Spend Some, Save Some
There’s one more wrinkle, and it pulls in the opposite direction. The Sapphire Fever quest line rewards you for spending Medallions, paying out Energy Crystals at milestones from 3 Medallions all the way up to 100, along with Glory Points for Eva’s Path. Across the full chain, that works out to roughly one Energy Crystal per Medallion spent, or 100 crystals in total. Keep in mind these are the event’s Energy Crystals rather than regular Energy, and they’re what you pour into relics to unlock later chapters.
That matters because chapters get expensive fast. Chapter 4 needs 320 Energy Crystals invested in total, and chapter 6 needs 790. So if you’re a few crystals short of the chapter you’re aiming for, spending Medallions on items you actually want can be exactly what pushes you over the line.
The balance, then, is simple. First, buy what you genuinely need and what beats the exchange rate, because those purchases count toward Sapphire Fever too. Once you’ve reached your target chapter, leave whatever’s left unspent and let it convert into Hero Resource Chests. Spend with a purpose, not just to tick a quest box.
Eva Event Shop Guide: Resources
Only two resources deserve your Medallions. Twenty Large Skin Stone Chests for one Medallion is solid, since Skin Stones keep adding permanent stats to every hero long after this event is forgotten. That said, the end conversion pays the exact same rate, so buying now or converting later lands you in the same place. Great Enchantment Runes are the real standout. Fifty for one Medallion is something the conversion can’t match, because its chests only offer the Rare version, and just one of Eva’s glyphs swallows 438 Great runes on the way to max.
Bottled Energy, on the other hand, is now a clear skip. The shop gives you 15 bottles per Medallion, while the end conversion gives you 20. So if you want Energy, simply leave the Medallion unspent and pick bottles from your Hero Resource Chests after the event.
Everything else on this tab is a pass. Daily play already drips Wish Insignias and Wish Crystals into your inventory, and the conversion matches the shop’s rate for both, as well as for Chaos Cores, so there’s no reason to lock them in early. Chaos Particles and Pet Soul Chests are skips too. That stack of sixty Flawless Artifact Chests looks tempting at first glance; however, the conversion offers 30 Absolute Artifact Chests per Medallion instead, which is a far stronger artifact option.
Huge Experience Potions are cheaper here than in the Somna shop, with 300 for one Medallion instead of two. Even so, most established accounts already have their main heroes capped, which makes EXP one of the easiest places to waste a Medallion. The one exception is Eva herself, since she needs 483 Huge EXP Potions to reach max level. Even then, the conversion pays the same 300 per Medallion. Unless you need her leveled right now, leave the Medallion unspent and claim the potions from your chests after the event.
Finally, the Lesser Soul Stone Chest only really serves fresh accounts. If you’re still filling out your roster, a few soul stones can help. Once your core lineup is settled, though, it offers very little, so leave it on the shelf.
*If Eva needs levels, the end conversion gives the same 300 potions per Medallion, so only buy early if you need them right away.
Violet Gear: Skip Unless Eva Is Waiting
Trines, Siege Crossbows, Swords of Thorns and Angel’s Mace all come together from components you can farm cheaply. Siege Crossbows and Swords of Thorns also show up regularly in the Arena, Tower and Outland shops. Put any of them next to the 4,000 Energy line and they lose every time. Nobody’s account is stuck because of violet gear, so these slots are pure filler.
That said, Eva owners get one small exception. She equips four Siege Crossbows, three Angel’s Maces and two Swords of Thorns across her ranks. So if you are pushing her right now and you’re short, these are a convenience buy. Still, they should never come ahead of the orange pieces below.
Orange Gear: Where the Shop Pays You
Orange gear is where the numbers flip in your favor. Two Alchemist’s Sets for one Medallion would cost far more than 4,000 Energy to farm, which makes the shop the clear winner. Blade of the Immortals at one Medallion lands the same way. It is also worth noting that Eva equips five Blades of the Immortals, more than any other item in this shop.
Lycanthrope’s Fang and Throwing Knives both come two for one Medallion. That is a slightly worse rate than the Somna shop’s five for two, but these remain expensive pieces to farm, so the conversion still favors the shop. Alucard’s Amulet (two for three Medallions) and Ruler’s Globus (one for three) are high-end pieces that take ages to farm, so the shop wins as soon as one of them is holding a hero back, and Eva needs three of each. Song of the Valkyries is the big ticket at four Medallions. That price looks harsh until you remember how slow it is to farm, and Eva wears three of them. When you need one, this is the place to get it.
Unity of Extremes rounds out the orange shelf, and at five Medallions it is both the priciest item here and the most interesting. Crafting it takes an Alucard’s Amulet, a Ruler’s Globus, the Unity recipe and roughly 1.68 million gold. Buying just those two component pieces from this same shop would already cost 4.5 Medallions, before you even find the recipe. Therefore, five Medallions for the finished item is genuinely fair pricing.
Your roster decides this one. Around 30 heroes use Unity of Extremes, Eva included, and she needs two of them. If it is blocking one of your core heroes, it is well worth considering. If nobody on your roster is waiting on it, those five Medallions probably go further on the other orange pieces.
One Warning Before You Buy
A good price only matters if the item has a job waiting for it. Every orange verdict above assumes a hero on your roster actually needs that piece soon. Otherwise, you’re just moving value from one inventory tab to another, and it will sit there unused. So check your promotion requirements first, then shop.
Red Gear in the Eva Event Shop Guide
Only one red item made the cut this time. Evening Curfew now sells as one piece for one Medallion. The Somna shop bundled two for two, so the per-piece price is identical. Eva equips exactly one at red rank. Still, red-rank promotions are rarely what slows most accounts down, so treat this as a fix for one specific block rather than a stock-up item.
Final Thoughts on the Eva Event Shop Guide
The whole Eva Event Shop Guide comes down to one habit: convert every price into Energy before you tap buy. Once you do that, the shop sorts itself. Skin Stones and Runes earn a spot in every cart. Violet gear and the farmable resources stay on the shelf, with a small exception for Eva players in a hurry. As for orange gear, grab it whenever it beats the Energy line and fills a real need, which, if you own Eva, covers most of that shelf.
And remember the exchange rate. Every Medallion you don’t spend still turns into 10 Hero Resource Chests, so there is no reason to panic-buy on the final day. Spend on what beats the 4,000 Energy line or gets you to your target chapter, and let the rest convert.
