What Are the Hero Wars Spooky Festival Generators?
The Hero Wars Spooky Festival Generators are five Cauldrons on the October Mysterious Island. Each one sits on its own islet and opens during the festival. Every Cauldron produces one resource on a fixed timer:
- Treats — every 23 hours
- Bottled Energy — every 11 hours 30 minutes
- Large Skin Stone Chests — every 5 hours 50 minutes
- Great Enchantment Runes — every 2 hours 55 minutes
- Absolute Artifact Chests — every 2 hours 55 minutes
The Cauldrons open one a day, from October 26 to October 30. All five stop on November 1 at 02:00 UTC. That is one day before the Spooky Festival itself ends.
Because they open on different days, each Cauldron gets a different number of cycles. The Great Enchantment Rune Cauldron gets 24. The Large Skin Stone and Absolute Artifact Cauldrons get 16 each. Bottled Energy gets 10, and the Treat Cauldron only 6. As a result, the stage you pick decides how much you collect over the whole festival.
How Hero Wars Spooky Festival Generators Upgrades Work
The Hero Wars Spooky Festival Generators don’t cost Emeralds. Instead, they use three of the festival’s own currencies:
- Spirit Energy — the Treat Cauldron costs 60 Spirit Energy for every stage (300 in total).
- Pumpkins — the other four cost 25,000 Pumpkins for Stage I and 50,000 for Stage II.
- Treats — Stages III, IV and V of those four cost 5, 7 and 10 Treats (22 per Cauldron).
Why the Treat Cauldron Comes First
The Treat Cauldron is the key to the whole set. It opens first, and you pay for it with Spirit Energy, not Treats. Then the Treats it produces pay for the top stages of the other four. Maxed on day one, it brings in 40 Treats over its six cycles.
However, maxing the other four Cauldrons takes 88 Treats and 300,000 Pumpkins. So most players will have to choose where their Treats go. The Cauldrons also compete with the Altar Shop for the same currency.
Reading the Tables
All rewards and costs in the tables below are cumulative, just like in the game. Total Rewards is the production over the Cauldron’s full runtime at that stage. Total Cost is everything spent from Stage 0.
Early look: these numbers come from the game files, a few days before the festival reaches Hero Wars. Costs and timers can still change before October 26. We will update the tables if they do.

How to Use the Hero Wars Spooky Festival Generators Planner
The planner above has one card per Cauldron. Each card shows the cycle time, the opening date in your own time zone and the total number of cycles. Use the stage buttons (OFF, I, II, III, IV, V) to set the stage you plan to reach.
As you pick a stage, the card shows you:
- Per cycle production at that stage
- Total production over the Cauldron’s active period
- Total upgrade cost in Spirit Energy, Pumpkins and Treats
- Next stage cost, so you can judge if the next step is worth it
The summary at the top adds up your Spirit Energy, Pumpkins and Treats across all five Cauldrons. It also counts your cycles and maxed Cauldrons. At the bottom, the Investment Summary breaks the cost down per Cauldron. That way you can see at a glance if your plan fits the Treats you expect to have.

The Treat Cauldron opens first and ticks only once every 23 hours. Every day you wait costs you a full cycle, so upgrade it on October 26.
Next, Stages I and II of the other four cost Pumpkins. You earn those by converting Spirit Energy and by clearing the festival’s story chapters. That puts Stages I and II within reach for everyone.
