Why Axel Can’t Patron Eva

For years, Axel has been the reflex pick for physical damage dealers. His shield offers burst protection, so he became the safe choice for almost every marksman. However, Axel is not on Eva’s patronage list, and neither are the other usual names.

Instead, Eva can be patronaged by only three pets: Fenris, Biscuit, and Vex. That is the entire pool. As a result, whatever works on other heroes doesn’t matter here — this decision lives or dies inside those three.

What Eva Needs From Her Patron

Biscuit provides around 9,958 Magic Attack and 9,958 Armor. However, Eva does not use Magic Attack, and not a single ability in her kit scales from it. Better still, it is applied by the exact hero whose job is to mark and shred priority targets so her allies can pile in. The One Exception: Biscuit as an Anti-Heal Counter

There is exactly one exception. If you are specifically facing sustain-heavy teams that lean on strong healers, Biscuit’s anti-heal can be worth the stat loss to shut that healing down.
