Spooky Festival Shop Guide 2026
Spooky Festival Shop Guide: Where Your Treats Belong
This Spooky Festival Shop Guide shows you how to spend your Treats in Martha’s Spooky Festival. Treats replace Sapphire Medallions this time, and the shop works the same way: eight one-time purchases at the top, then a row of items that cost one Treat each and can be bought again and again. Only a few of them really move your account forward, so below we rate all 19 items and give you a clear order to buy them in.
First, finish the chapters and plan your energy with the Spooky Festival Event Optimizer. After that, the shop is the last decision that really matters.

Why the End Conversion Changes Everything
In the last hero events, every unspent Sapphire Medallion turned into 10 Hero Resource Chests when the event ended. Treats take the Medallion’s place in this festival, so expect the same: 1 Treat → 10 Hero Resource Chests. Each chest lets you choose one reward:
- 2 Large Skin Stone Chests, 2 Bottled Energy or 2 Chaos Cores
- 3 Absolute Artifact Chests
- 30 Huge EXP Potions, 25 Wish Crystals or 15 Wish Insignias
- 10 Rare Enchantment Runes or 2,000,000 Gold
Put all ten chests from one Treat into the same reward, and compare it with what that Treat buys in the shop:
| Item | In the shop | Via the end conversion |
|---|---|---|
| Bottled Energy | 15 per Treat | 20 per Treat |
| Absolute Artifact Chest | 1,000 for 40 Treats (25 per Treat) | 30 per Treat |
| Large Skin Stone Chest | 20 per Treat | 20 per Treat (tied) |
| Chaos Core | 20 per Treat | 20 per Treat (tied) |
| Huge EXP Potion | 300 per Treat | 300 per Treat (tied) |
| Wish Crystal | 250 per Treat | 250 per Treat (tied) |
| Wish Insignia | 150 per Treat | 150 per Treat (tied) |
Bottled Energy and the Absolute Artifact Chests are outright better through the conversion. Everything else ties, and the conversion lets you choose after the event, once you know what your account still needs. So buy directly only what the conversion doesn’t offer, or what you need during the event.
There is one catch: Treats left for the conversion give you no Spirit Energy. The Sapphire Fever quests pay 1 Spirit Energy for every Treat you spend, up to 150. So if you still need energy for the chapters or the Altar, spend your Treats instead of saving them all for the conversion. Even a tied item is worth buying then, because the Treat also brings back energy.
The Generators: A Fair Place for Your Treats
The Spooky Festival has a second way to spend Treats: the Cauldrons on the October Mysterious Island. Stages I and II of the Bottled Energy, Large Skin Stone, Great Enchantment Rune and Absolute Artifact Cauldrons cost Pumpkins. But Stages III, IV and V cost 5, 7 and 10 Treats, so 22 per Cauldron and 88 for all four. If you would rather put your Treats there, that is a fair choice. Upgraded on the day they open, the Cauldrons often give more per Treat than the shop:
| Cauldron (Stages III–V, 22 Treats) | Extra over Stage II | Per Treat | Shop / conversion per Treat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great Enchantment Rune | +1,349 runes | ~61 | 50 (shop) |
| Absolute Artifact Chest | +865 chests | ~39 | 25 (shop) / 30 (conversion) |
| Large Skin Stone Chest | +560 chests | ~25 | 20 / 20 |
| Bottled Energy | +458 energy | ~21 | 15 / 20 |
Here is the catch: these numbers assume you upgrade on opening day. A Cauldron only produces while it runs, so every cycle you miss makes each Treat worth less. Upgrade a Cauldron late, and the shop or the end conversion usually wins again. Also, a Cauldron needs Stages I and II first (75,000 Pumpkins), so the Treats only pay off if you can afford those.
So our verdict: the Great Enchantment Rune and Absolute Artifact Chest Cauldrons are strong uses of Treats, if you upgrade them early. The Large Skin Stone Cauldron is a small gain. The Bottled Energy Cauldron is about a tie with the end conversion (20 per Treat), so it only makes sense if you need the energy during the event. Plan the stages with our Spooky Festival Generators planner, then use this Spooky Festival Shop Guide for the rest.
Already Upgraded Your Generators? Good Call
If you spent Treats and Pumpkins on your Generators, you made a smart move. Here is the math. A maxed Cauldron costs 75,000 Pumpkins (Stages I and II) plus 22 Treats (Stages III to V). At Stage V from opening day, it then produces its whole run. Now compare that with what the same items cost you in Treats through the shop or the end conversion:
| Cauldron at Stage V cost: 22 Treats + 75,000 Pumpkins | Total produced | Same items with Treats | Treats saved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great Enchantment Rune | 1,641 runes | 33 Treats (shop, 50 per Treat) | ~11 |
| Absolute Artifact Chest | 1,028 chests | 34 Treats (conversion) · 41 (shop) | ~12 |
| Large Skin Stone Chest | 690 chests | 35 Treats (shop or conversion) | ~13 |
| Bottled Energy | 561 energy | 28 Treats (conversion) · 37 (shop) | ~6 |
What about the Pumpkins? Their other use is the Altar of Fate. 75,000 Pumpkins buys about 28 pulls at the base price, or up to 75 with a high Grail of Generosity. About one pull in ten gives a Treat, so those Pumpkins are worth roughly 3 to 8 Treats, plus Martha’s soul stones. Take that off the savings, and the Rune, Artifact and Skin Stone Cauldrons still come out ahead. The Bottled Energy Cauldron ends up about even.
All four Cauldrons together produced items worth about 130 Treats, for 88 Treats plus 300,000 Pumpkins. Count those Pumpkins as 12 to 32 Treats of Altar pulls, and you still come out 10 to 30 Treats ahead. That’s 100 to 300 extra Hero Resource Chests when the event ends.
The timing matters, though. The Treat stages only pay for themselves if the Cauldron runs for most of its life after the upgrade:
- Absolute Artifact Chest: upgrade within the first quarter of its run.
- Large Skin Stone Chest and Great Enchantment Rune: within the first fifth.
- Bottled Energy: on opening day only, or it falls behind the end conversion.
Upgraded later than that? Then the Treats would have done more in the shop or the conversion. But the items are still yours, so there’s no need to worry about it now.
The Eight One-Time Purchases
Eight items can be bought only once. Two of them are easy yeses, two are cheap extras, three depend entirely on your Spirit Totems, and one is better left to the conversion.
Legendary Gift of Dominion 1 for 11
BUYPromotes a hero one colour rank on the spot, no items needed, for any hero at Orange +4 or lower. So save it for the most expensive step it covers: Orange +4 to Red. Cheaper than last time, and a capped one-time item like this is rarely worth skipping.
Gift of Dominion 1 for 18
BUYThe same promotion, but with no rank limit, so it works on the Red ranks too, the highest in the game. Do not spend it on an early rank: save it for the last ones, where the items are the hardest to get. Buy it if you can afford it.
Avatar 1 for 2
DEPENDSA Spooky Festival profile avatar. It only costs two Treats, so grab it if you collect avatars; otherwise those two Treats are worth 20 Hero Resource Chests.
Golden Thread 4,000 for 10
DEPENDSUpgrades War Flag patterns. It costs half of what it did in Path of Legends (3,750 for 20 Medallions then), so buy it if you are actually working on War Flags. If not, there are better uses for ten Treats.
Distorted Spirit Summoning Sphere 1 for 80
YOUR CALLThe most expensive item in the shop and the hardest to reach: most free players will not bank 80 Treats. It summons a Distorted elemental spirit for your Totems, so it is only worth it if that Totem is part of your plans.
Elemental Catalyst 200 for 40
YOUR CALLFeeds new skills into your Elemental Spirit through Fusion. New skills aren’t guaranteed: you can pour every Catalyst in and still come away empty-handed. Your call, based on where your Totem stands and how much risk you accept.
Primal Catalyst 500 for 40
YOUR CALLThe same system for primal Affinity Skills, with the same risk. Only if your Spirit Totem is a priority right now.
Absolute Artifact Chest 1,000 for 40
SKIP (convert instead)It looks huge, but 1,000 chests for 40 Treats is 25 per Treat. Keeping those Treats gives 30 per Treat through the end conversion, and you can still choose something else then. Skip it.
Spooky Festival Shop Guide: The Easy Buy
Great enchantment rune 50 /
BUYCount it in glyph energy and it is a tie: 50 Great runes (100 each) give 5,000, the same as the 100 Rare runes (50 each) one Treat brings in the conversion. What tips it is the Spirit Energy from Sapphire Fever and the timing: these runes go into your glyphs now, not after the event. Runes stay useful at every stage of the game.
Large Skin Stone Chest 20 /
BUY FOR NEW EDGENormally a tie with the end conversion. But the New Edge quest in Unleashing Power pays 45,000 Pumpkins for upgrading any hero’s skin 150 times, and skin stones from the conversion arrive after the event, too late for that quest. So buy as many as you need to finish New Edge, then let the rest ride the conversion.
It Depends on Your Account
Lesser Hero Soul Stone Chest 1 /
SITUATIONALNewer players get real value here, since a wide hero roster matters early on. Once your roster is established, the value drops off fast, so veterans should usually pass.
Pet Soul Chest 12 /
SITUATIONALUseful while you are still building out your pets; skippable once they are established.
Skip These: Choose Them From the Conversion Instead
Bottled Energy 15 /
SKIP (convert instead)The conversion gives 20 per Treat against the shop’s 15. Wait and choose it there.
Chaos Core 20 /
SKIP (convert instead)Important for artifact evolution, but the shop price only ties the conversion. No reason to lock a Treat in now.
Wish Crystal 250 /
SKIP (convert instead)Used for hero ascension. Same price as choosing it from the conversion later, so save the Treat.
Wish Insignia 150 /
SKIP (convert instead)Same system and the same math as the Wish Crystals.
Huge EXP potion 300 /
SKIP (convert instead)Weak on its own, since established heroes are near max level, and it only ties the conversion. Skip it twice over.
The Traps in the Spooky Festival Shop
Chaos Particle 700 /
SKIPA big number that doesn’t move your account. Send those Treats to the items above.
Flawless Artifact Chest 60 /
SKIPTempting on paper, weak in practice. Not worth a Treat while the one-time buys are still on your list.
Spooky Festival Shop Guide: The Buying Order
- Legendary Gift of Dominion and Gift of Dominion (29 Treats) when a hero needs them.
- Great Enchantment Runes, as many as you like.
- Large Skin Stone Chests, enough to finish New Edge.
- The Rune and Artifact Cauldrons (Stages III–V), if you can upgrade them on the day they open. A fair alternative to the shop.
- The avatar and Golden Thread, if you want them.
- The Spirit Totem items, only if your Totem is a priority and you have the Treats.
- Everything else: keep it. Leftover Treats turn into Hero Resource Chests when the event ends.
Shop or Cauldrons? Decide how many Treats go to the Generators before you start shopping. Each Cauldron needs 22 Treats for Stages III–V, and they pay the most when upgraded early.
Final Word on This Spooky Festival Shop Guide
To sum up, this Spooky Festival Shop Guide comes down to three habits. First, buy the capped one-time items your account actually uses, or put Treats into the Rune and Artifact Cauldrons early. Second, avoid paying for what the end conversion gives you for free. Third, spend early, so the Sapphire Fever quests turn your purchases into extra Spirit Energy.
